I first tried this as a gift and loved it so much I'm now on my second bottle! I'm not big on makeup - just a brightening moisturizer, cushion compact, and lip color are my go-to. The cleansing effectiveness is great by my standards. It removes makeup well, and my skin doesn't feel tight after washing. That's why I've stuck with it for a second bottle. I often give it as a gift to friends and family, and everyone gives positive feedback! After pumping, some residue hardens and needs to be removed before use. Not sure if it's an issue with the container or how I'm using it, but it's a bit of a hassle. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 4, 2024
It doesn't cause blemishes and produces a lot of foam with just a small amount. Great for double cleansing. The cleansing effectiveness is a bit weak for removing makeup, and product always hardens at the opening, requiring removal each time. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 4, 2020
It provides a moisturizing and gentle cleansing experience. It's perfect as a second-step cleanser in your routine. I usually prefer a squeaky-clean feeling after cleansing, so I was a bit disappointed that this didn't provide that sensation. Additionally, the product tends to dry out and clog around the opening, which is rather inconvenient. For a similar feel, you might want to try the Sum37 Skin Saver Essential Cleansing Foam, which comes in a pump bottle. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAug 13, 2019
- The foam is truly rich and abundant! Even without special tools, just a bit of water and gentle rolling with your hands produces amazing results. - The pump dispenses just the right amount - not too much, not too little! One pump is perfectly sufficient for a single wash. - Being a large size, it lasts for ages! While the price might seem high initially, it's actually quite reasonable considering how long it lasts. - Due to the term 'foaming', I mistakenly thought it would dispense as foam, but it's actually just a regular foam cleanser. - The texture is quite sticky, and like shampoo pumps that tend to harden, this one does the same. It's inconvenient having to clean it and scrape off the residue every time. - The price is a bit on the higher side for regular repurchasing. - To minimize skin irritation, I avoid direct hand contact when cleansing. Instead, I create a rich lather and wash using mostly foam! - On days when I'm experiencing more blemishes and want a deep cleanse, I work up a thick foam and apply it generously like a mask, leaving it on for 30 seconds to a minute. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 29, 2019
I used to get blemishes because sunscreen was hard to remove, leaving oily residue. But with this, it washes off well - I'm impressed! It has a squeeze-type dispenser, but small amounts of product get left at the opening and harden. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 29, 2019
I was on the hunt for a cleanser that doesn't foam up. This one's a gem - as long as you've got enough water on your face, there's no need to struggle to create lather. Unlike many foaming cleansers that left my skin feeling tight after washing, this product was gentle on my skin. When I finish this tube, I'll definitely be repurchasing! Well... since it's a gel formula, it tends to solidify at the opening of the tube. As a result, it doesn't dispense smoothly. I found it a bit inconvenient to squeeze out the product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 21, 2018
The great thing is that it controls sebum without drying out my skin. I've used it for three bottles in a row, which is rare for me as I usually switch products often. I've even recommended it to my friends. To be honest, I haven't found anything better yet. The pump gets clogged with a silicone-like substance, so it's annoying to have to clean it each time I use it. Also, a few ingredients are concerning. Since I have blemish-prone skin, I wonder if this might be causing issues... A little goes a long way in creating a rich lather, so use it generously for a thorough cleanse. Personally, I like to remove it with a sponge for best results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 13, 2018
I had been stocking up on The Face Shop cleansing foams during sales, but when I felt like my blemishes, redness, and pore issues weren't being resolved, I did some intense research. I ended up buying this cleanser after getting a recommendation at a Kiehl's store. (I was heavily influenced by the 'pore-less beauty' featured on Get It Beauty at the time.) At first, it felt milder compared to my previous cleanser, making me think, 'Huh? Is my face really clean? I'm not sure...' But the more I used it, the more I noticed my blemishes improving and my skin texture getting better. Plus, the blackheads that used to pop up occasionally disappeared, and I only got some tiny whiteheads between my eyebrows. (I use this along with Calendula toner and Calendula pore serum.) Recently, I've even bought a pore cleanser to tackle those small whiteheads between my brows. I'm now cleansing with a 2:1 ratio (pore:calendula), but I haven't noticed any significant effects or changes yet. The price is a bit steep... At first, going from a 5,000 won cleanser (even cheaper on sale) to one that costs nearly 40,000 won was quite a shock for me. However, I'm so satisfied with the product and have no desire to switch to another cleanser that I'm currently on my fourth bottle, which I buy in bundles at duty-free shops. It comes in a pump bottle, and like all pump bottles, some residue remains and hardens at the nozzle after each use. You can just pump it and remove the hardened bit, but it's always been a minor annoyance when using the product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 17, 2018
Gentle yet effective cleansing! I really dislike the tight feeling from soap, so I always use this light and refreshing cleanser morning and night. I think I'm on my 4th bottle already! I recommend getting the larger size. Well... the lack of drawbacks is a drawback? If I had to nitpick, with the standard size, the gel can harden around the nozzle after pressing. But that's hardly a con. The larger size has a pump dispenser like shampoo bottles, which is much more convenient! I highly recommend getting the larger size. It's totally worth it! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinFeb 12, 2018
It's gentle yet incredibly effective at cleansing! You don't even need to do a first cleanse with oil or micellar water - it removes makeup really well on its own. After washing, your skin doesn't feel overly tight either. The gel tends to harden in the pump, causing it to clog easily. The small opening might be contributing to this issue...
