A decent cleansing foam. It produces a rich, light, and thin lather that works gently on the skin. The slight squeaky-clean feeling suggests it has good cleansing effectiveness. The ingredients seem harmless, and the transparent liquid gives a safe impression. (I appreciate the absence of unnecessary colorants.) Despite its light and thin foam texture, it doesn't thoroughly cleanse the pores. It smells like dish soap or bubble solution, so there's no healing effect from the fragrance. While it's just an average foam that doesn't give a 'wow' factor, it's priced like a department store product. I tried a large tester received gratis, but I don't plan to purchase it. (My mom, who has dry skin without nose sebum issues, uses it daily. It's decent enough.) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 24, 2020
It seems to work well with a vibrating cleansing device. When rubbed on a foam net, it lathers up nicely. The scent and texture strongly remind me of dish soap. The cleansing effectiveness isn't particularly impressive. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 16, 2019
The biggest advantage is how gentle it is and how it's improved my skin. My sensitive skin has really calmed down since I started using this. Those tiny bumps and red spots that used to appear have disappeared. Also, I'm not sure if it's just me, but after using this, it feels like it even exfoliates my skin. When I finish washing my face, it looks bright and glowing. The scent is like dish soap. And the price? Well, if it's making my skin better, I'm willing to use it. Also, the pump nozzle is too short, so it drips everywhere. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 2, 2018
My skin reacts most sensitively to cleansers and creams. For about a year, my skin condition was up and down, and the reason was the soap I had been using consistently. Since I've been using Kiehl's for a long time, I bought a cleanser from the same line. The small bumps that used to appear one or two at a time when I woke up stopped appearing. With low pH cleansers, I often felt like they didn't cleanse properly, leading to sebum buildup, but this one seems to cleanse well. The scent is a bit... like gum or candy? Compared to other Kiehl's cleansers that smell like detergent, I guess this is better. A single pump produces enough foam, so it seems like it will last a long time. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSep 1, 2018
I must have gone through at least 6 bottles of this by now. Unlike other cleansers I've used before that either left my skin feeling oily or tight and uncomfortable, this one leaves my skin feeling hydrated and silky smooth. Some might find the scent reminiscent of chemical products. No special tips to share. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 6, 2018
It's definitely gentle and good for the skin, without any irritation on the face The scent is so artificial that I wonder if it's really calendula. The smell is not pleasant - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 20, 2018
The application feels nice and I'm generally satisfied with it. The scent is a bit disappointing... it's slightly reminiscent of dishwashing liquid. Also, as you use it, the pump dispenses less product, which becomes inconvenient. It's best to pump a moderate amount and lather it up before cleansing your face. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 9, 2018
I received this as a gift and have been using it. I have sensitive, dry skin with redness, and I was surprised when I first pumped it out. After cleansing, there's no tightness, and it's quite nice. My redness has calmed down, and it's even helping with brightening my complexion! The scent isn't particularly fragrant; it has a somewhat chemical, dry smell, but you get used to it. The pump is a bit stiff, so you need to use some force to dispense the product. It doesn't come out in large amounts either. I'm using this along with the Sum37 essence. The redness has disappeared, and my skin is even brightening up! I finally feel like my skin is becoming smoother. It seems you really need to switch to higher-quality products for skin regeneration. I'm finishing off with Avène's regenerating emulsion as my final step. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 14, 2017
It's quite moisturizing without irritation. Even after rinsing with water, the moisturized feeling remains rather than a squeaky clean sensation. It has a slight alcohol or petroleum-like smell. I had to stop using it because it caused me to break out. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 23, 2017
I bought it because I heard it's good for acne! The lather was great and it was pretty nice. There was no tightness on my face. The effects weren't dramatically visible, but I didn't break out or anything while using it. The volume is much more than I expected, so even after using it for a month, it barely went down. You can see in the attached photo that it went down a bit after using it every night for 3 weeks! Hmm... I didn't really like the scent! It's kind of like a rubber-ish smell... And the price is also too expensive. I'm using it because my friend gave it to me for free, but I don't think I could afford to buy it with my own money. Use it with lots of lather!
