It was great for summer use as it didn't leave my hair feeling heavy or greasy. The refreshing scent was another plus, making it an ideal choice for the warmer months.
ConsThe main drawback was the use of SLS, which was quite disappointing. After use, my scalp and hair felt a bit stiff, but I managed to counteract this by using a hair mask alongside it.
TipWhen shampooing, thoroughly massage your hairline and crown for about 30 seconds before rinsing. This will leave your scalp feeling refreshed and invigorated. Using a hair mask in conjunction with this shampoo can help reduce the stiffness in your scalp and hair, resulting in a more pleasant experience.

ConsMy hair feels stiff... Although it's a deep cleansing shampoo that should be good for the scalp, I'm experiencing a lot of hair loss

While its cleansing power isn't drastically different from other shampoos, I loved its fresh, fruity scent. After washing, my scalp felt invigorated, as if all the oiliness had vanished! The lather is rich, and the rounded, wide pump design prevents slipping - a great feature!
Cons- The refreshing sensation can feel a bit intense on the scalp - The fragrance doesn't last long While I initially enjoyed the refreshing feeling on my scalp, it gradually started to feel more intense, almost like I'd applied toothpaste to my head. If you're not a fan of this sensation, you might want to skip this one. However, this feeling doesn't last too long! Also, I found the fragrance a bit weak, which was disappointing. My previous herbal shampoo had a strong scent that lingered until the next day, but this one's fragrance fades quickly.
TipAny tips for using shampoo? Since I felt the fragrance didn't last long, I applied a generous amount of nice-smelling hair oil before drying my hair!

It really caught my eye. After using it for about two weeks, I was most satisfied with the scent and how it felt to use. I'm not sure if it's exactly calamansi, but the fragrance was invigorating and zesty - I really enjoyed it! The best part about this shampoo was definitely the user experience. With the weather being so hot lately and me being prone to getting oily hair quickly, I was impressed that even a small amount of this shampoo lathers up amazingly well. It feels great to massage it into the scalp with your fingertips, and if you wait about a minute, you get this incredibly refreshing sensation on your scalp - it's absolutely fantastic! It's like a minty feeling? When rinsing, my hair didn't feel stiff at all, but rather soft and smooth. From start to finish, I loved everything about it!
ConsI honestly can't think of any downsides! Some might say the shampoo feels a bit thin, but it didn't cause any issues for me when using it.
TipMake sure to massage it into your scalp thoroughly, and wait 30 seconds to a minute before rinsing. You'll feel an amazing cooling sensation on your scalp!

With shoulder-length hair and a habit of using plenty of product, I pumped it about three times. It lathers well, and perhaps due to the generous amount used, it creates a rich foam. The menthol ingredient seems to give a refreshing scent and a slightly cool sensation on the scalp. The fragrance and menthol make it perfect for summer use. My father and younger brother were particularly satisfied, noting that the cool feeling and scent make it appealing to men. Fragrance: 🍋🍋🍋🍋 The scent is incredibly invigorating. It wakes me up pleasantly during my groggy morning showers. While I can't confirm if it's an authentic calamansi scent, it's definitely a citrusy fragrance that doesn't become overwhelming. The bathroom fills with a fresh aroma that our whole family enjoys. Even my 60-year-old father appreciates the cool scent. While the fragrance is strong during washing, it's a shame it doesn't linger much in the hair.
ConsHair Texture: 🍋🍋 As someone with medium-length, bleached hair, I found it slightly disappointing that my hair felt a bit stiff after washing. It seems the shampoo might have fewer hair-protecting ingredients and focuses more on cleansing. While it gives a clean feeling, it leaves the hair a bit rigid post-wash. However, since the primary purpose of shampoo is cleansing, and my hair is bleached, those with normal hair might not notice this as much. Ingredients: 🍋🍋 Overall, I'd say the ingredient composition is average - neither bad nor exceptionally good. However, the menthol ingredient is quite high on the list, which might be irritating for those with sensitive scalps. For normal scalps, I don't think it would cause noticeable irritation during use.
TipThis shampoo seems well-suited for summer use, especially for men. When shampooing, it's important to thoroughly wet both the scalp and hair, then massage the lather well into the scalp. Many people make the mistake of only applying shampoo to their hair without cleansing the scalp. This is particularly common among women with long, thick hair, who often neglect the back of their head. While the hair might get wet, improper cleansing can lead to odors and scalp blemishes. Remember, hair gets sufficiently cleaned just from the runoff of water and shampoo after properly washing the scalp.

While shampooing, a subtle mojito fragrance wafts through the air. It's truly a refreshing scent perfect for hot days! It's like a blend of 50% lemon, 40% soda, and 10% soju. 2. It lathers well and seems to cleanse thoroughly. They say they've applied micellar cleansing technology, which might explain why it cleanses gently yet effectively. People who dislike the squeaky-clean feeling in their hair might not enjoy it. But that's because it doesn't contain silicone oil, and in my opinion, the cleansing performance is pretty standard with or without it. I'm very satisfied using it. Besides, you can always use conditioner afterward... 3. I like that it provides some scalp cooling. As someone with a naturally hot body temperature, this is very helpful. The cooling ingredients (like sorbitol, menthol, ethanol, etc.) seem to provide a cooling effect without causing irritation. I had a painful red pimple on the back of my head before using this, but I didn't feel any irritation while using this shampoo.
Cons1. I wonder if they've added too much fragrance... I don't mind that it's included, but it's quite high up on the ingredient list. It seems they've loaded it with fragrance to achieve that fresh scent, probably because citrusy scents tend to fade quickly. 2. The scalp cooling function is a bit disappointing. You can feel the cooling effect, but it's just barely noticeable... Still, it's perceptible. I'm not sure how much it actually lowers the scalp temperature. 3. The squeaky-clean feeling I'm mentioning this in both the pros and cons because while I was fine with it, my family members left negative feedback about this aspect.
TipIt seems that using cold water for washing helps prolong the cooling effect even after rinsing. If you use warm water, you won't feel any cooling at all! I tried this after reading someone else's review, and at first, I thought, 'Of course it feels cool if you use cold water, isn't that obvious?' But it's actually a bit different from what you might expect!

He also likes the fragrance of the shampoo. 40-year-old housewife: Appreciates the cool, refreshing effect. While hair feels a bit stiff before it's completely dry, once fully dry, she notices improved hair texture.
ConsResults may vary depending on hair type (curly, thickness, etc.). 17-year-old male with slightly curly, very thick hair: While scalp odor improved significantly after washing, he feels his hair is a bit stiff even when completely dry. However, when I touched it, it felt normal. 12-year-old male and 40-year-old housewife with slightly curly, average thickness hair: No complaints.
TipTo summarize the pros and cons: Those with thicker hair may find their hair feels stiff even after drying, which they dislike. At a hair salon, a stylist mentioned that the hair condition seemed unusual compared to the previous visit. It's crucial for those with thick hair to use a conditioner.

It gives an invigorating sensation when washing your hair, and the mojito fragrance really comes through nicely.
ConsAfter shampooing, there's a slightly stiff feeling, and the scent doesn't seem to linger. The cool sensation comes from the fragrance rather than providing actual scalp relief.

It seems to have a hint of menthol mixed in. The fragrance is fresh and zesty. It's cool and refreshing when showering, but doesn't last long. The scent itself is perfect for summer - light and invigorating. It's said to have a cooling effect on the scalp, and indeed, there's a cool sensation after washing your hair. It's similar to a minty feeling. It's not too intense, just pleasantly refreshing, but those with sensitive skin might find it a bit stimulating. It's not like the temperature is dropping, more like a post-shower coolness? I love it, so I've been diligently massaging my scalp during showers lately. The texture is standard, and it lathers well. I've been frustrated with shampoos that don't foam up well recently, but this one is fine. Personally, I like to work up a lather in my hands before applying it to my hair, as I've heard it's better for the scalp. The foam is plentiful, which is great. However, it's supposed to be mildly acidic, but I'm surprised it lathers so well for a low pH product. Its cleansing power is sufficient, so you might need less than other shampoos. It definitely removes oil. Even with the high humidity making hair prone to getting greasy, my hair texture was fine when using this shampoo. However, I recommend using it with other hair products. It leaves your hair feeling slightly squeaky clean. Interestingly, it's different from the feeling you get after washing with soap. It's gentler than that. Still, this type works well for my hair texture, so I don't use conditioner. And... this is really just my personal skin reaction... but my blemishes have reduced a bit. Why... why is that? It's really surprising... Could it be because of the micellar technology or something...? But there's no reason for blemishes to clear up... The only thing that changed was the shampoo... Huh... What's going on... Maybe my previous shampoo didn't suit me.
ConsWhile there is a cooling effect on the scalp, it feels like peppermint. As a result, those with sensitive skin might experience a tingling sensation. Also, for those with poor hair texture, using a conditioner seems essential. After using this shampoo, your hair feels squeaky clean. This works well for my hair, but I wouldn't recommend it for color-treated hair. To summarize, I recommend it for oily/combination hair types, but for dry hair, I suggest using it with other hair products. I don't recommend it for sensitive skin types. There's a slight burning sensation in the eyes while washing. I'm not sure if it's due to the fragrance or if shampoo water got into my eyes. It's fine if you keep your eyes closed. And this is a matter of personal preference, but those looking for a shampoo with a long-lasting scent might be disappointed.
TipSince the scent doesn't last long and isn't overpowering after washing, if you want to add fragrance, you might consider using a perfume mist afterwards. This is a Hwahae Testers review. I intend to repurchase after using this product.
