It feels soft and doesn't tug at my skin. The moisturizing sensation is lovely. Great, great, great! There's nothing to be disappointed about. Absolutely no downsides. - di**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 8, 2021
This seems perfect for those with oily skin. I was amazed at how well it removed sebum - I had no idea it would work this well! A small amount creates a rich lather and its cleansing effectiveness is outstanding. It completely eliminates excess oil from your face, leaving it squeaky clean. It's a true deep cleanse! Those with dry skin probably shouldn't use this. If you want to try it, maybe only use it in summer. The best part is how it deals with pores. Other products remove blackheads too, but sometimes they leave residue behind, which looks unsightly and dirty. But with this product, there's none of that. Even with the same cleansing technique, it thoroughly cleans out the pores, leaving them looking pristine. It's so satisfying to see clean, clear pores. Say goodbye to blackheads! I don't even use pore strips anymore after starting with this. It really strips away both oil and moisture, so you need to follow up immediately with a thorough skincare routine after cleansing. That's why it's particularly suitable for those with oily skin, especially men who tend to have oilier complexions. - du*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessJul 2, 2020
A friend gifted this to me after a trip. It seems to be a gentle, no-frills product. My skin feels moisturized after cleansing, without any tightness. It didn't cause any blemishes or issues, but it's just... okay. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to buy it again, especially since I've never seen it sold anywhere. It's like, 'Hard to find? But I don't want it badly enough to bother.' - go******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 3, 2019
As a guy with combination skin, I've been using this for almost a year and find it pretty decent for everyday use. When you first start using it, your skin might feel a bit tight after cleansing. But don't worry, you'll get used to it and it gets better. - lo********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSep 21, 2019
First off, this is a product I received as a gift last year. I liked that the texture had a mud-like feel and the scent wasn't overpowering. After cleansing, I could see sebum coming out around my nose area. If I remember correctly, the green color was supposed to help with pore cleansing, dead skin cells removal, and skin soothing. It seems to deliver on those aspects to some extent. It doesn't have any pore-minimizing effects. It's more like a mud-textured cleansing foam. While it feels gentle during use, it leaves my skin feeling dry afterwards. I could tolerate it in summer, but now that autumn's here, my skin feels tight. I need to apply toner or use a mask right after. The biggest drawback is its thick consistency, which makes it hard to squeeze out of the tube. You have to press really hard with your fingers, which can be painful. Even though you can feel there's product left inside when you squeeze, it doesn't come out easily. I feel like if I were to cut open the tube, the mud-like texture would probably dry out quickly. While it might be worth it if bought in Japan or received as a gift, I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase this in Korea. - kz*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 26, 2019
Price: Well, it's reasonably priced in Korea, but in Japan, it's definitely a 'wow, that's cheap!' kind of deal. To be honest, if you're in Korea, you might be better off buying a good product on sale instead of this one. Effectiveness: After using this, I noticed that my whiteheads and blackheads that were deeply embedded seemed to surface a bit. It's great when you can wipe them off with a cotton swab. However, it doesn't seem to help much with pore tightening. Overall impression: In terms of cleansing, it's honestly not that different from other products. It cleanses decently. But it leaves your skin feeling so squeaky clean that you might feel like your moisture barrier has been stripped away. I don't think it would be great for those with dry skin. The dispenser opening is a bit wide, so it was confusing at first to control the amount. Also, I wouldn't recommend this to people who are particular about scents. It has a strong, earthy clay smell that might be off-putting. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 11, 2019
I bought this as a souvenir from Japan and have been using it, but I can't say there's anything particularly special about it. My skin doesn't feel dry after cleansing. While it's not extremely hydrating, it seems to provide adequate moisture after washing my face. The product information states it's unscented, but it actually has a strong mud-like smell. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJul 3, 2019
Since there's no green option on Hwahae, I'll write my review here instead. 1. Sebum reduction Before, I'd put on makeup in the morning and by evening, my nose would be noticeably oily. It was so stressful! But after using this, even at night, I can hardly see any excess oil. It feels like my sebum production and that dreaded 'oil slick' have definitely decreased. 2. Pore minimizing Honestly, the pore-minimizing effect isn't super noticeable. But in my opinion...?! Since I can't see much oil, my pores seem smaller too. I never had blackheads to begin with. 1. Ingredients PEG what...?! I'm shocked! 2. Tight skin after cleansing True to its 'clay' name, it has powerful cleansing effectiveness but leaves my skin feeling extremely dry. I seriously need to keep something in the bathroom to apply right after washing my face. Use this for deep cleansing once a week, or mix it with gentler products.
