The shimmer pearls are beautiful, and when it's on sale, you can get it for just over $10, making it great value for money. The pink shade has a lot of white undertones, making it a bit intimidating to use on its own. Applying it with your fingers seems to give better adherence to the skin. - br****Combination SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedDec 14, 2020
The 4-color combination and fine pearl application are perfect. It's a product I'm grateful for, as it ended my long struggle between matte vs. dewy and pearl vs. no pearl. My eyelids are quite puffy, so products with pearl usually make them look more swollen, while those without can feel dry. I have deep-set double eyelids, and eyeshadow often clumps or gets stuck in the crease, but this doesn't happen with this product. Color: The Bourjois eyeshadow looks natural without making eyes appear puffy. Longevity: Lasts over 12 hours without fading or drying out. Application: Glides on smoothly without clumping, even when applied with fingers. True to its status as a beloved French brand, the case, though made of clear plastic, doesn't look cheap. The embossed brand logo on the side is especially nice. There are no downsides. I think I'll keep buying Bourjois for eyeshadow from now on. Actually, about 30 years ago, Bourjois was famous for their blushers, so I bought about 3, but at that time I really wondered why this product was so popular. I ended up throwing them away after using them. They came in round dome-shaped pots, and there were rumors that they supplied Chanel (for eyeshadows and blushers) at the time. Bourjois and Chanel had the same dome shape. Pierre Wertheimer (owner of Chanel and Bourjois) and perfumer Ernest Beaux jointly established a perfume company. The Wertheimer family now owns Chanel. Thinking about it now, it was because the built-in applicator brush didn't apply the product evenly. The built-in applicator should just be considered decorative. When I bought eyeshadow and foundation from Bourjois, they included a set of makeup brushes as a gratis gift (October 2020). The built-in applicator is too small and inconvenient to use, so it's just for show. Using the gratis brushes to apply the 4 different colors is much more convenient. - ia******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinAug 26, 2020
1. Shimmer All the eyeshadows, including the base and contour shades, have a shimmery finish. Highly recommended for those who love shimmer eyeshadows! 2. Even color payoff Among all the palettes I've tried, this one has the most consistent color payoff. It applies smoothly even when using your fingers. 3. Multi-tip brush After seeing many brushes with identical tips on both ends, I found this one convenient with its thin tip on one side and thicker tip on the other. The thin tip has a velvety texture, while the thicker tip is incredibly soft. Both applied the eyeshadow well and made it easy to add accent colors. - Excessive white cast The strong white cast creates a noticeable contrast when using this palette alone on the eyelids. Not recommended for those who don't suit a white undertone. - Glitter doesn't adhere While the shimmer eyeshadows apply well, the glitter doesn't stick at all. It's not just fallout - it simply doesn't adhere. Even when applied with fingers, it doesn't stay put. The glitter eyeshadow ended up crumbling. I managed to salvage it by mixing in an emulsion, but it still disappears quickly when applied to the eyes, which is very disappointing. - The white cast looks like plaster Rather than a natural luminosity, the white cast gives a plaster-like appearance, which isn't my style. When applied to the aegyo sal (under-eye puff) or as a highlighter, it creates a subtle, dimensional effect!
