Since I have more visible pores than most people, I was initially considering Laura Mercier's highlighter for its pore-blurring effect. However, I stumbled upon Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Incandescent. After reading tons of comparison reviews, everyone seemed to agree that Hourglass had finer shimmer particles. The reviews consistently described it as not a flashy shine or greasy look, but rather an "elevated" glow. So I decided to take the plunge. Oh boy, once I tried it myself, I totally got what those reviews meant! It truly gives an elegant, sophisticated glow that's subtle rather than intense. It's quite noticeable in natural light, but less so indoors (which is a bit disappointing). As for my main concern - nose pores - applying with fingers does emphasize them a bit, but using a brush in circular motions to "fill in" the pores significantly reduces their appearance. The more I use it though, I have some mixed feelings. The effect is quite subtle, which makes me wonder if it was worth the high price tag. Also, since I have oily skin, my nose gets shiny after a while and my pores become more noticeable again. I think this would work beautifully for those with already good skin or dry/normal skin types.
ConsUnfortunately, it's barely noticeable in indoor lighting... In natural light though, it's absolutely stunning!
TipThis review provides a detailed account of the user's experience with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Incandescent. The translation maintains the friendly, conversational tone while incorporating relevant synonyms from the provided list. The cultural references and expressions have been adapted to resonate with English-speaking readers. The review highlights both the positive aspects (subtle, elegant glow; pore-blurring effect when applied with a brush) and the drawbacks (subtle effect may not justify the high price; less effective for oily skin types) of the product.

It has that characteristic glow typical of baked formulas.
ConsIt's so fine that it doesn't quite give off a highlighter effect. Laura M's product feels more luxurious in comparison.

It feels perfect for daily use. You might wonder, 'Did I apply highlighter?' But yes, you did! When you go out wearing this, you look absolutely stunning. If you're someone who likes noticeable highlighter, this isn't for you - it's very subtle.
ConsThe price... it's expensive, but I can't resist Hourglass. That's the only downside.
TipYou can purchase it much more affordably if you buy it duty-free.

While many reviews mentioned it's undetectable, I noticed an immediate difference on my skin - a delicate, high-end radiance that's not over the top. As someone with super sensitive skin, I experienced no blemishes and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results.
ConsThe price is... steep, but it's so beautiful that it's worth the splurge. It's truly gorgeous.

Among the cool-toned highlighters without any yellow undertones, my favorites are Incandescent, MAC Aurora, and Stila Opulence. The Hourglass highlighter has the best quality. Its ultra-fine particles give excellent adherence and allow for a luxurious skin finish. I adore its unique subtle glow... It's so beautiful! I apply this as a base, and for areas where I want more emphasis, like the bridge of my nose, I lightly layer MAC Aurora on top. Hourglass has an unrivaled, sophisticated glow, so I'll definitely keep using this product.
ConsNot recommended for those who prefer larger particles and more noticeable highlighters, as this one is very natural. Of course, it's perfect for my taste. I've also tried the Hourglass Ambient Powder (Ethereal shade) - it gives even more of an Inner Glow, but as it's meant to be a finishing powder, it's almost too subtle and I didn't like it much. The Strobe Powder (Incandescent) has just the right level of subtle glow. For those looking for something even more natural than Incandescent (if you want something that looks natural even on bare skin), try Ethereal!

I absolutely love it... Especially since many highlighters with large particles tend to look very powdery, but this Hourglass one doesn't do that at all! If you typically go for natural makeup and have been thinking about getting a highlighter, you must try this one! While the pan color might look slightly yellowish, when applied, it gives off a subtle, pearlescent sheen.
ConsThe downside is, of course, the price... It's quite expensive, so keep an eye out for discounts!

ConsMight not be ideal if you prefer more noticeable makeup (It's not completely undetectable, though)

The pearl effect is not excessive, creating a subtle and elegant glow as a highlighter. 2. The 'Incandescent' shade has a white, opalescent color! Overall, it leans more towards a white hue. 3. Personally, I love dazzling highlighters, but sometimes I hesitate to use them on my cheekbones. In those moments, applying 'Incandescent' to the cheekbones creates a natural and elegant glow. 4. I plan to try the 'Iridescent' shade next time.
ConsWell... the subtle effect, which is an advantage, might be perceived as a drawback depending on personal preference.
