Removes excess oil without irritation.
ConsIt doesn't completely cleanse off sunscreen or makeup on its own.

A staff member at the Lush store recommended it to me, and buying the large size was a stroke of genius! I absolutely love it. After cleansing with this, there's no deep dryness, and my skin produces less oil even after applying makeup. They say it's because dry skin overproduces sebum, and I think that's spot on. I'll definitely keep using this. However, I'm a bit uneasy about it being made in Japan... Next time, I might try ordering directly from the UK.
ConsIt's unfortunate that it's made in Japan... Can't help feeling a bit uncomfortable about that. The shelf life is only a year and a half. Some might think that's long, but for me it's not!

I've been using the 230g Kalamazoo (regular price $40) every morning for cleansing, and after about three and a half months, I can see the bottom of the container. The main positives for me are: 1. Moisturizing finish without any tightness 2. Dual-purpose for cleansing and shaving 3. Noticeable improvement in skin texture Unlike typical cleansers, this doesn't lather up, which might seem odd at first. However, when you gently massage it with water and rinse, it leaves your skin feeling fresh and hydrated without any dryness. The zesty fruit scent is also a mood-booster. I simply switched my cleanser to Kalamazoo while keeping the rest of my skincare routine the same, and I've noticed a significant improvement in my skin texture. I can feel the difference every time I wash my face, which has made me love this product even more. The deciding factor for me when I chose this unfamiliar product in-store was its potential as a dual-purpose cleanser and shaving cream. It's really streamlined my morning skincare routine, which I'm thrilled about. I'll definitely repurchase.
ConsI don't think it's strong enough to remove makeup or sunscreen effectively, so I use a different low-pH cleanser in the evening. According to Hwahae standards, the ingredient list doesn't look great due to parabens. Also, like all Lush products, it's priced higher than competitors, which is a bit disappointing.
TipSince it's a cleansing product and the container design makes it easy for water or contaminants to get in, I always use a spoon or similar tool to scoop it out instead of using my fingers. This helps keep the product as clean as possible during use.
