This is a moisturizing foam cleanser that doesn't lather much. A staff member at the Lush store recommended it to me, and buying the large size was a stroke of genius! I absolutely love it. After cleansing with this, there's no deep dryness, and my skin produces less oil even after applying makeup. They say it's because dry skin overproduces sebum, and I think that's spot on. I'll definitely keep using this. However, I'm a bit uneasy about it being made in Japan... Next time, I might try ordering directly from the UK.

First off, I bought this because the staff member highly recommended it. They said it's not great for makeup removal, but it's perfect as a light sunscreen cleanser. I think they're right. Just a heads up, it doesn't foam up.

I use it by massaging it onto my bare face, then adding some water and massaging again before rinsing. It definitely makes you go 'wow' at how it improves skin texture and hydration.

While it seems to help reduce the irritation from Ocean Salt, if it needs to be mixed with something else to effectively remove dead skin cells, I can't really consider it an efficient product on its own.

Despite its buttery texture, it's not overly rich. A plus is that it exfoliates to some degree without causing discomfort during application (though less effectively than Herbalism). It doesn't rinse off super easily, so it's best suited as a morning cleanser or second-step cleanser. Likely better for dry rather than oily skin types. Initially, I appreciated its gentleness for a few days, but didn't notice significant improvements beyond that. It does leave your skin feeling soft and smooth.
