After lightening my hair, I hated how it would fade to that weird corn silk brown at the roots. If you want your color to fade to a more ashy tone, I highly recommend this product. I've tried other purple shampoos, but this one doesn't cause any scalp blemishes, so it's gentle enough to use twice a week without irritation. For best results, leave the lather on for 3-5 minutes before rinsing. It really helps maintain your original color and ensures that as it fades, it keeps that subtle ashy tone. Plus, it leaves your hair feeling softer! This is especially great for those with damaged hair from bleaching, as healthier hair holds color longer. Definitely a top pick for anyone in that situation!
ConsThe bottle size isn't very large, so I wish they'd offer more 'buy one, get one free' deals or discounts.
TipUsing the matching treatment from the same line enhances the effects even more!

I had my hair dyed ash gray, and it stayed true to color for so long without any yellow tones. Even though my scalp was a mess with scabs from bleaching, this shampoo didn't cause any irritation. I used the matching treatment too, and despite bleaching my hair three times, I got so many compliments on how healthy my hair looked.
ConsYou need to use a bit more of this compared to regular shampoos.

It definitely keeps the color longer compared to regular shampoos. When the color has faded and my hair is in a bleached state (yellow), it reduces the bright yellow tones and seems to add a bit of an ashy hue. The shampoo itself is a deep purple color due to its color-correcting properties, and in my case, it doesn't cause any irritation. The scent isn't overpowering either, so I have no issues using it.
ConsAccording to the instructions, for better color-correcting effects, you should work up a rich lather, leave it on for a while, then rinse. I try to do this when I have time, but to get enough foam, I need to pump 2-3 times even for my shoulder-length hair. Having maintained colored hair for a long time, I find the volume a bit disappointing. It would be great if they offered a larger size.

It produces a rich, abundant lather - even for someone with long hair like me, two pumps are more than enough. With a pH between 5.5 and 6.0, it's likely to be gentle on both hair and scalp.
ConsMy hair isn't bleached, but it's dyed to about level 11 brightness. Maybe that's why I'm not seeing any dramatic effects. I'm just using it as a color shampoo substitute, hoping it might help my color last longer. Although it's supposed to be mildly acidic, strangely, my hair feels stiff after washing, making me question if it really is pH balanced. I think using this exclusively might not be great for scalp health, so it's probably best to use a scalp-specific shampoo once or twice a week for overall hair health.
