The color payoff is truly amazing and it's exactly the shade I was looking for. I think it's a versatile color that summer cool-toned folks can easily pull off. Despite being a matte lipstick, it applies smoothly. It's a bit more matte than I expected, so if worn for a long time, it can accentuate fine lines and dead skin cells. It wasn't bad during summer, but it might be challenging to use in winter. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 27, 2020
First off, the color is absolutely gorgeous and it absorbs beautifully. And because it's velvet, it has this incredibly soft, almost fluffy texture that feels divine on the skin. It might accentuate dead skin cells a tiny bit, and there's a slight white cast. So if you're someone who doesn't suit a brighter complexion, that's something to keep in mind. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 22, 2020
- Staining power like a tint - Absorbs smoothly - True to its name, has a lightweight texture - Beautiful shade perfect for spring - Being matte, it's a bit drying and tends to emphasize dead skin cells Beautiful color when used alone, but also lovely as a base layer - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinApr 22, 2020
The case is pretty and I love how it absorbs into the skin with a velvety finish. The price is quite reasonable for a lipstick. Is it just me, or does this have a deep undertone? It looks like a warm tone with hints of orange and beige. Also, it breaks easily, which is a shame. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 10, 2020
Why isn't everyone raving about this?! (Just my opinion though...) This is honestly my absolute favorite lipstick. For something that absorbs so well, the staying power is pretty impressive too! Definitely recommended for cool-toned beauties. Word of caution: avoid applying when you have dead skin cells on your lips. You'll witness it clumping together with the flakes. But to be fair, this happens with most lip products, so it didn't bother me too much. I find it works even better when paired with other long-lasting, clingy tints. When used together, you'll discover lips that stay beautifully put almost all day long. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 14, 2020
First off, I'm not sure about my personal color tone. When choosing lipsticks, I usually go for colors I like and that appeal to me. My preferred shades are not too vibrant, with a slight pink feel? And a bit like a dried rose color? That's the kind of vibe I enjoy. This lipstick hits that spot perfectly. It's like a pink dried rose feel? The color is truly one of my favorites. The application is pretty good for a matte lipstick, and the pigmentation is excellent. The color payoff on my hand was almost identical to how it looked in the tube. What also surprised me was its incredible staying power. Even after eating, I only needed to touch up the inner part of my lips slightly - it barely faded at all. Above all, this lip color seems to brighten up my whole face, which is why I'll definitely keep repurchasing it. There's hardly anything to complain about. Just keep in mind that since it's a matte lipstick, you might need to moisturize your lips well before applying it during the winter months. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 12, 2020
Color: It's definitely a cool tone. When applied lightly, there's surprisingly more pink than expected (which might be a bit startling). After a few layers, the color closely matches the case color. Application: True to the Ink the Airy Velvet Stick's signature feel, it glides on much smoother than other matte lip products. Other notes: I'm really impressed with the gradient effect. It truly blends out softly. It's not quite warm-toned... If you have even a hint of warm undertones, I'd strongly advise against this. Compared to other Ink the Airy Velvet products, this one doesn't apply quite as smoothly. This might be TMI, but I personally love the hazelnut/chocolate scent in Peripera's velvet lip products. Unfortunately, the fragrance is a bit faint in this one. Though I suppose that's good news for those who dislike the scent. Oh, the gradient effect is so kissable, I just love it! For the best gradient, apply to one side of your lips and press them together firmly. It seems to work better than using your fingers. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJan 2, 2020
Absorbs well: True to its 'Airy' name, it applies lightly and smoothly. Usually, when I use tints, they apply unevenly except on the lower lip, which is why I often prefer stick types. But this one applies evenly across the entire lips. The application feeling is like switching from crayons to liquid watercolors - it's that smooth and fluid. Staying power: Despite its incredibly soft application, it has good staying power. You might need to reapply once after eating. Dead skin cells: Unlike the Ink the Velvet tint which severely emphasized my dead skin cells (it took me a year to recover from that), this one barely shows any. Quantity: While not abundant, the amount is sufficient considering the price point. Color payoff: It's a dried rose with a pink undertone. Perfect for cool-toned individuals. It also works well when mixed with other colors. When darkening occurs, there can be a mismatch between your lip and face color. It has a noticeable pink tint, so those who don't suit pink shades might want to avoid this. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 1, 2019
I was looking for a cool-toned lipstick, and this one is great! It absorbs well and doesn't emphasize dead skin cells. It might just be me, but I noticed that even with slightly firmer application, it tends to smudge rather easily...
