The color payoff is truly amazing and it's exactly the shade I was looking for. I think it's a versatile color that summer cool-toned folks can easily pull off. Despite being a matte lipstick, it applies smoothly. It's a bit more matte than I expected, so if worn for a long time, it can accentuate fine lines and dead skin cells. It wasn't bad during summer, but it might be challenging to use in winter. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 10, 2020
1. The color payoff is excellent even with a small amount applied. I find that you can achieve great results with just a light, gentle application. 2. The staying power is quite impressive. The pink tone seems a bit too intense. As someone with a light, cool undertone, I found it can look a bit overwhelming if applied too heavily. During seasonal changes, applying lip balm on top prevents that overly dry feeling. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 4, 2020
The color payoff is great, and it has more of a matte finish rather than a slightly moisturizing feel Even though I really don't have any dead skin cells, it seemed to emphasize them I think it would work well if you use a lip exfoliating mask beforehand to remove dead skin cells - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 14, 2020
First off, I'm not sure about my personal color tone. When choosing lipsticks, I usually go for colors I like and that appeal to me. My preferred shades are not too vibrant, with a slight pink feel? And a bit like a dried rose color? That's the kind of vibe I enjoy. This lipstick hits that spot perfectly. It's like a pink dried rose feel? The color is truly one of my favorites. The application is pretty good for a matte lipstick, and the pigmentation is excellent. The color payoff on my hand was almost identical to how it looked in the tube. What also surprised me was its incredible staying power. Even after eating, I only needed to touch up the inner part of my lips slightly - it barely faded at all. Above all, this lip color seems to brighten up my whole face, which is why I'll definitely keep repurchasing it. There's hardly anything to complain about. Just keep in mind that since it's a matte lipstick, you might need to moisturize your lips well before applying it during the winter months. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinJan 28, 2020
The color payoff is great and the shade is easy to wear. It applies with a soft, velvety finish. The texture feels a bit chalky when applying, but everything else about it is good. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 12, 2020
Color: It's definitely a cool tone. When applied lightly, there's surprisingly more pink than expected (which might be a bit startling). After a few layers, the color closely matches the case color. Application: True to the Ink the Airy Velvet Stick's signature feel, it glides on much smoother than other matte lip products. Other notes: I'm really impressed with the gradient effect. It truly blends out softly. It's not quite warm-toned... If you have even a hint of warm undertones, I'd strongly advise against this. Compared to other Ink the Airy Velvet products, this one doesn't apply quite as smoothly. This might be TMI, but I personally love the hazelnut/chocolate scent in Peripera's velvet lip products. Unfortunately, the fragrance is a bit faint in this one. Though I suppose that's good news for those who dislike the scent. Oh, the gradient effect is so kissable, I just love it! For the best gradient, apply to one side of your lips and press them together firmly. It seems to work better than using your fingers. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 16, 2019
Just when I was itching to get a new lip product, I bought this on my friend's recommendation! The color payoff is incredible... As expected from Peripera, they really nail the shades. It's perfect for my cool-toned skin! What I love is that it's not insanely drying! It has this nice, slightly powdery finish? Anyway, I'm loving it!!! From my experience with Peripera lip products: My lips get itchy after application..... They don't swell up or get irritated, but there's this tingling and slight burning sensation. I think there might be an ingredient that doesn't agree with me, so I don't use it often. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 12, 2019
1. The color payoff is out of this world Just a quick swipe and the pigmentation is incredible, adhering perfectly to your lips You can apply it without a mirror and still get amazing color 2. Incredibly smooth I was skeptical about how smooth a velvet stick could be, but it's no joke It doesn't feel sticky or moist on your lips, just leaves a clean finish 3. Absolutely gorgeous The beauty speaks for itself - first off, the case has a matte texture with autumn vibes It's fall feels all the way, and the shades are totally autumnal too. They're all slightly muted tones, which I thought might not be flattering, but they actually light up your face 1. Too matte Due to its velvet nature, it's quite matte, so if you have dry lips or a lot of dead skin cells, it might emphasize flakiness and create a yogurt-like effect 2. Very dependent on skin tone What I mean is, I'm slightly cool-toned, so these pink shades make my face glow. But my warm-toned friend looks totally awkward wearing the same colors.. For the matte issue, applying Vaseline the night before or using a lip scrub to remove dead skin cells works best, but if you don't like putting anything on your lips, you might be out of luck With so many shades available, trying them on in person is the most helpful way to choose This lipstick is great for lining your lips too.. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 25, 2019
Feels powdery soft. Due to the nature of lipsticks, there's some transfer right after application, but if you blot it once with a tissue, it becomes incredibly velvety. My lips are naturally not very dry, so it sets perfectly with a lightweight feel that I love. The color applies like a soft blur, as if it's gently melting into the lips. It's easy to apply with quick swipes. (Though this might be because my lips aren't dry) The staying power is better than expected. I usually avoid lipsticks because they often come off just from drinking, but this one leaves some color even after eating. It's a perfect MLBB (My Lips But Better) for a natural look. I'm not great with undertones, but I think I'm cool-toned, and previous MLBBs always looked a bit off on me. This one is like a savior! It's a pink with a slight plum undertone that's just... I'm afraid it might be discontinued! My lips are quite resilient, so I can comfortably wear and enjoy even drier formulas. However, if you have even slightly dry lips, this might be difficult to use. On days when my lips are sensitive, it can pill a little...
