ta************Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 1, 2021I highly recommend this as a great value daily item. It has a unique texture that's powdery on the outside but moisturizing on the inside. It's like a perfect blend between a lipstick and a tint... Not too runny, not too solid, striking just the right balance. In the photo, it's the product on the right, while the left is the Composition Color. Compared to the left product, when actually applied, you'll notice the pink is a bit softer and mixed with a hint of yellow (or orange) undertones. Since I tend to have yellowish undertones in my skin, I usually try to avoid warm colors or shades with yellow tints. However, this product surprised me by having more of an orange tint when applied, which wasn't what I expected, so I don't reach for it as often as I thought I would. While the model images suggest a dried rose or muted pink, when I actually applied it, I could feel the yellow undertones. I have to agree that it's matte yet moisturizing. It applies with a hydrating feel but finishes with a soft, powdery texture. I thought the color would be dark, but it's perfect as a base lip color! While I'm not familiar with this brand, it seems a bit pricey to me.

It applies so smoothly that it's fantastic for smudging, making it ideal for creating lip gradients or using as a blush - it looks absolutely gorgeous! The texture is so soft that it works wonderfully as a base lip color, blending seamlessly with other lip products. While it feels hydrating upon application, it dries to a soft matte finish on the surface. However, it keeps your lips deeply moisturized, so you won't experience any deep dryness. It doesn't stain much, so it tends to come off easily. 1. Reasonably priced 2. A natural, lively color that works well even without makeup 3. Relatively skin-friendly ingredients 4. Good staying power (though it might be shorter than other shades due to the subtle nature of 'Petal') 5. It feels slightly slippery due to the oils, which I actually liked I used to use Maybelline SuperStay Ink Crayon, but I always felt uneasy about its ingredients. While looking for an alternative, I found this. I was considering 'Composition' but thought it might be too vibrant, so I ordered this instead. Comparing it at home with the Ink Crayon (which I always mix up... oops!), the colors are similar, but 'Poetic' seems to look prettier. It's also nice that it doesn't have the stickiness of SuperStay. I think I've finally found my go-to lip product! 1. It can get on your front teeth Be careful when you smile right after application - check in a mirror to avoid embarrassment! 2. It does transfer a bit. Doesn't seem to be super long-lasting 3. Nothing else... As someone with generally full, thick lips, I tend to avoid bright colors. The color is so natural that it's not overwhelming even on bare skin! While some intense shades can look awkward when applied, this one has a slight cream tint that gives a beautifully natural look. Since it's a lighter shade, you might need to apply two or three layers for a more vibrant color payoff.
