I used to use products for babies or sensitive skin before, but I started noticing they didn't suit my skin well. After cleansing or skincare, my face would keep getting red and itchy, and the symptoms wouldn't subside. That's why I searched for an even gentler product and discovered the Ooolu Emulsion. I debated between getting the cream or the emulsion, but since summer was approaching and I was worried the cream might be too rich, I opted for the emulsion. First impression: it's incredibly gentle. At that time, applying anything after washing my face would definitely irritate my skin, but with the Ooolu Emulsion, I felt no irritation at all, which was amazingly surprising. It absorbs well and is hydrating. Even when I accidentally applied too much, it didn't pill or leave any residue. It's absolutely fantastic!
ConsI think the emulsion alone might not be enough during the cold, dry autumn or winter months. While it provides ample hydration, it feels a bit lacking in terms of oil and moisture balance.

It's gentle enough for children to use, so I could apply it without worry to my sensitive, combination dehydrated skin with deep dryness, which was in a pretty rough state. It absorbs well and provides just the right amount of hydration, leaving a nice finish after moisturizing. My blemishes have significantly reduced, and my skin feels comfortable.
ConsThere are no functional drawbacks, but the price is slightly on the higher side, which is a bit disappointing. I wish they had more frequent sales since I'd like to use it more often. After using it for a while, I noticed that while it's not extremely rich, it seems to have a bit of oiliness for combination dehydrated skin, possibly because it's not a facial cream. I'm getting a few small pimples on my cheeks. It's also not extremely hydrating, so there's some deep dryness after a while.
TipIt might be a bit light for those with dry skin seeking deep hydration. Due to deep dryness, I used it in two steps: toner + Ato emulsion / ampoule + Ato emulsion to provide moisture to my cheek area.

Moisturization: Likely to satisfy those with oily or combination dehydrated skin.
ConsMoisturization: May not provide enough hydration for dry skin types. Absorption: Takes some time to fully absorb into the skin. Hydration: Slightly lacking in moisture content.

ConsAs a hydration-focused cream with little oil content, it may not suit those looking for a balanced oil and moisture ratio

A truly soft cream texture - Scent: Almost fragrance-free - The gentle ingredients are good, so it seems suitable for those with super sensitive skin. Extra point for being slightly acidic. Great for seasonal changes or winter use. The tube packaging makes it convenient to use. My heels were dry, so I applied it there too, and they remained hydrated until morning.
ConsThe cream seems to have more oil than hydration, so I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin types (personal opinion). However, it's highly recommended as a body emulsion or for children's skin.
TipThis emulsion seems like it would work well for those with dry skin.

The moisturizing effect lasts long after it's fully absorbed. The absorbs well is smooth and pleasant. It's not runny, but it spreads evenly with just a few swipes. After applying it all over and patting it in a few times, I noticed it absorbs well quickly. However, it does feel a bit rich, so it might be heavy for those with oily skin. I usually break out immediately when using products with oil, so I stopped using it on my face after one application. Instead, I tried it on my neck and jawline area, and the product is really great there. The first day, I only applied a small amount to my face, and I didn't have any blemishes. It's fragrance-free, making it suitable for those sensitive to cosmetic scents.
ConsIt's disappointing that there's a bit of richness despite the texture suggesting otherwise. Still, it should be good for those with dry skin.

In summer, kids sweat a lot and need frequent baths, making them reluctant to use emulsions due to sensitivity. This can lead to sticky skin from sweat, yet still feeling dry. What I liked about this product is that it's fragrance-free, which is great for children. As shown in the photo, a small amount goes a long way - enough to cover a 6-year-old's lower body. It spreads incredibly smoothly, and despite initial concerns about stickiness due to its rich feel, it absorbs well after a gentle pat, leaving no sticky residue. The next day, my child's skin felt like it had a protective layer - soft, but more like a gentle coating than just soft skin. I thought it would be perfect for winter use, but it's also great for summer as it leaves the skin feeling soft without stickiness. I'm quite satisfied and plan to continue using it!
ConsThose who strongly dislike rich textures might find it challenging to use, but it seems suitable for children. I wondered if the richness was intentional, considering children's skin typically lacks oil.

Both I, with extremely dry skin, and my middle school child with dry skin have been using this product. It seems to be fragrance-free; you'd have to really stick your nose in it to detect a very faint medicinal scent like in dermatology clinics. During use, you can't smell anything at all. (I prefer fragrance-free over scented products, so this was a plus for me.) The formula is thin and spreads smoothly. Despite being in a tube, it doesn't gush out uncontrollably due to its consistency, making it convenient to use. (It's easy to control the amount.) Also, with a generous 200ml, it's great for applying to dry areas on the neck and body too. It contains birch leaf extract, which is said to be good for hydration, and it really does absorb quickly (it sinks in right away). You can immediately feel a protective, moisturizing layer on your skin. There was no skin irritation after application. Even though it's summer, I was worried it might feel sticky, but while there is a slight tackiness, it's not bothersome at all. In my opinion, the lack of fragrance, absorption, gentleness, and texture were all satisfactory. My middle school child also has dry skin and usually prefers products that absorb well, don't irritate, and provide good hydration. They mostly use Physiogel, but were using the lighter Keep Cool Bamboo Emulsion for summer. After I tried the Birch Ato Emulsion and found it good, I recommended it to my child. We both used it and found it smooth, easily absorbed, and moisturizing even with just one application. However, our family has extremely dry skin, so we think it might not be hydrating enough from autumn onwards. So, we're considering trying the cream version too if possible.
ConsWhile it's great for summer use, the downside is that I have extremely dry skin and feel dry even in summer. So, one application isn't enough; I usually apply it twice. Also, while the hydration is good, as I'm older, I prefer products with more oil content. Dry skin needs both moisture and oil, but this product doesn't have much oil content. Another drawback is the price, which is a bit high. With two kids and myself using it, it runs out really quickly! It would be great if we could buy it at a lower price through sales or events.
TipIt's great to reapply whenever you feel dry. Even with multiple applications, it absorbs well and helps with dryness.

My children's legs and bottoms were rough from atopic dermatitis, but after applying the Birch Ato Baby Emulsion, their skin became much more moisturized and soft. I even tried it on my face and found it gentle and hydrating enough for adults too. The generous amount makes me want to recommend it to friends with babies.
ConsWhile it's very hydrating, it seems to be low in oil content. For those with extremely dry skin, it might be better to layer it with an oil rather than using it alone.
TipAfter bath time, I applied the Birch Ato Baby Emulsion to my baby's legs, followed by a layer of jojoba oil. This combination helped the hydration last longer, leaving the skin moisturized and noticeably softer.

Absorbs: It applies cool and light on the skin. 2. Hydration: As soon as you apply it, you feel a burst of moisture. 3. Absorbs well: After applying and rubbing it in a few times, it sinks in without any stickiness. 4. Scent: It's fragrance-free. I thought it might have a cool scent given how refreshing it is, but even my child, who's sensitive to smells, didn't mind it being applied to their face.
Cons1. While it's light and refreshing, it lacks richness, so a few hours after application, the skin feels dry again. The hydration doesn't seem to last long. 2. While it's not irritating, it might feel a bit light for use in fall and winter.
Tip1. For babies with heat rash or children who typically have warm skin, you might see a cooling and soothing effect the moment you apply it. 2. Although it's a body emulsion, it feels light and refreshing when applied anywhere - face, hands, feet - even for adults, without feeling heavy or stuffy. 3. If needed, mixing the emulsion with a massage oil or dry oil might help the hydration last longer!
