Pros
I love VDL's foundation, so I went for their pearl base too~ It's more hydrating than I expected and spreads really well. It applies smoothly like an emulsion, without any patchiness! One layer looks very natural, while two layers seem to give a bit more shimmer. Its subtlety can be both a pro and a con. It's so natural that it's easy to apply. I even liked wearing just this on bare skin for a simple look. It's not sticky at all, and makeup applies well over it!
Cons
Even with powder on top, it seems to get a bit oilier over time? I wish it could give that shimmery pearl effect without the dewy, glossy look - that's the only downside for me..! Its priming ability is average. It helps prevent foundation from separating, but it's just okay at covering and filling in pores. I'd love to try MAC Strobe Cream for more of a pearl effect!

Pros
It's super popular in China and Hong Kong! You can mix it with foundation, and it has great adherence. It looks natural in both artificial and natural lighting.
Cons
While it looks natural, the staying power isn't particularly long-lasting!
Tip
Try applying it to areas that look better with a bit of highlight, like under the eyes, forehead, and smile lines, even though these are part of the T-zone.

Pros

Pros
When applied to the forehead and nose, it creates a subtle glow. On days I wear it, friends ask if my nose looks higher, wondering if it's always been that way! (And my nose was already high to begin with... haha) While I don't use it often due to laziness, it's undeniable that when I do apply it, my skin looks more vibrant and I appear prettier overall. I'm extremely satisfied with how the shimmer isn't overwhelming, giving a natural look instead.
Cons
This isn't a product designed for pores or uneven texture. It doesn't have pore-minimizing primer effects, so you'll need to apply a separate product for that.
Tip
For a truly beautiful look, try this after finishing your makeup: squeeze out a tiny amount (just a speck) and gently pat it under your aegyo-sal (charming eye fat) and on your nose!

Pros
1. Subtle and natural luminous finish (pearlescent effect) Perfect for mixing with foundation on days when your skin looks a bit dull. While it's not a dramatic change, it adds a delicate shimmer to lackluster skin, making it appear more radiant. 2. Plays well with primers and foundations! Unlike some pearl products that can be powdery or feel out of place, this one blends seamlessly. It's beautifully subtle. After finishing your base, when you turn your face in the mirror, you'll notice a lovely glow. Whether mixed with foundation or primer, it doesn't separate - it's absolutely fantastic! Before this, I tried Etude's Volumizer? Glitter? That one always gave me blemishes, which was disappointing. This product seems gentler on the skin - no breakouts, just pure satisfaction!
Cons
3. Has a rich feel For those with oily skin, be mindful of the amount you use for summer makeup. Without a primer, mixing this directly with foundation or cushion can make skin feel a bit greasy. It's fine for fall and winter though. 4. Secondary cleansing is a must due to the shimmer! This seems unavoidable... While the fine pearls create a beautifully natural skin texture when applied, you need to pay extra attention when cleansing. Even after thorough cleansing, when I use an exfoliating toner, I can still see tiny bits of shimmer... However, if you cleanse well, it shouldn't be an issue.
Tip
5. Mix it in a ratio of 3-4 parts foundation, 1 part primer, and 0.5-1 part Lumi Layer. While it has some priming properties, it's not quite a full primer on its own. Personally, I use it with other VDL products for my base makeup! It improves longevity and creates a beautiful finish - you'll have an elegant, porcelain-like complexion! Adjust the ratio based on your cosmetics and skin condition, but remember - using too much of this product can make your face look overly shimmery, so start with small amounts.

Pros
If I had to rate it, I'd give it about 3.5 out of 5. First off, I was intrigued by this shimmering primer and bought it hoping it would cover my skin texture and pores. Since pearl powders tend to make me look oily and other makeup bases feel heavy, I thought this might look more natural - and it does absorb well. The scent is pleasant - a subtle cosmetic fragrance? Department store aroma? A feminine scent? Anyway, if you're not into unscented products, you'll probably like it. In conclusion, it doesn't sparkle as much as it appears in the photos. When applied, it gives a subtle glow. While it may not excel as a primer, it's better than wearing nothing. All in all, since it's affordable online, it might be worth trying. As long as it doesn't cause blemishes, it's not bad for occasional use.
Cons
Since it contains shimmer, you need to cleanse thoroughly. Using just a foaming cleanser twice wasn't enough to remove all the shimmer from my skin. Double cleansing with an oil or cream cleanser is a must. The ingredients aren't the best, so if you're using other strong makeup products, you might need to adjust the amount you use. For some reason, I don't reach for it often. I guess with sunscreen and cushion foundation, adding a primer feels like too much effort.

Pros
When mixed with foundation, it created a naturally beautiful glow which I really liked.
Cons
I'm not sure if it's just me, but the container felt loose and the contents were leaking out. ^.ㅠㅠ

Pros

Pros
The skin looks smooth and has a natural glow. The texture is not heavy and blends well with foundation or BB cream.
Cons
Using this alone caused a breakout. I've never had my face turn out this way before. I wonder what ingredient caused this. ㅠㅠ
