It goes on sheer, light, and clear. The clarity lasts all day without darkening. I love a radiant finish without thickness, and while Dior is famous for this, this birthday gift introduced me to the charm of semi-matte. The foundation is glowy, and the cushion is perfect. I'm really enjoying using it. If you want something that stays truly clear and transparent for a long time, I highly recommend this. There's nothing to complain about. It's so good, it's truly the epitome of clarity. Make sure to build a solid skincare base. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 2, 2023
This is for cool-toned shade 21. I usually prefer yellow-based or neutral-based foundations. The color has a neutral-pink base. It brightens up the skin, but doesn't fully cover redness. However, it's not overly pink, so it worked well for me even though I prefer yellow-based products. Those who use shade 21 will likely find it matches their skin tone perfectly! There's no darkening, but it doesn't provide a tone-up effect either. It's just your natural skin color. It's quite matte. At first, you might think it's semi-matte, but it quickly adheres to the skin and sets. Due to its matte finish, a solid skincare routine is crucial. While it could emphasize dead skin cells, this is more of a skincare issue that can be addressed with proper prep. The matte finish also means virtually no transfer onto masks. It's not powdery, but very thin, making it suitable for all seasons depending on your skincare base. The longevity is excellent. With a good skincare base, it lasts all day without emphasizing dead skin cells or caking. For touch-ups, I recommend lightly misting your face first. Coverage is light. It covers pores well but is too sheer to hide redness or acne scars. However, it's great for evening out skin tone and creating a blur effect. Personally, I like natural-looking cushions that cover pores well, so this was perfect for me. Overall, it's clean, long-lasting, thin, and lightweight. If you're after high coverage, you might not like it, but if you prioritize longevity, thinness, and minimal mask transfer, this cushion is excellent. 1/6 Update: I applied this cushion thinly and went to work out after about 5 hours. Before exercising, my skin looked perfect, just like when I first applied it. After working out, it melted slightly. You can see it dissolving a bit with sweat. 2/26 Update: I've been using this cushion all winter, and I've noticed the feel changes slightly depending on your skincare base. If you thoroughly address deep dryness from your toner, apply a hydrating ampoule, and use a moisturizing cream (I used a cream with hydrating ingredients, but I wouldn't recommend an extremely oily one!), this cushion will stay perfect all day. Price and quantity Considering the very high price, the amount of product is really... small... Spritz a bit of mist on the puff for a more hydrated application! In the morning, I use a foundation brush - it seems to improve pore coverage. When touching up outside, it might look flaky if your skin is dry. I spray some mist to combat dryness, then blot excess oil with blotting paper before touching up. However, the longevity is so good that I rarely need to touch up anyway, so I haven't found it inconvenient. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 29, 2021
The adherence is fantastic - it doesn't rub off on masks. While it's not overly dewy, which can feel a bit sticky, it leaves a nice matte finish. I prefer a more matte look over a dewy one, so this is my type of product. The color is beautiful, a lovely ivory shade. There's no darkening effect, which I really appreciate. Even when layered heavily, it doesn't feel heavy or cakey, which is great. It's a bit darker than I expected. My skin tone is a light 21, and even though this is supposed to be the lightest shade, it still looks a bit dark on me. The coverage is sheer and light, so it might not be suitable for those with blemishes or large pores who need more coverage. This cushion is best for those with naturally good skin, no blemishes, and who prefer a natural, beautiful skin-like finish. In winter, you'll need a solid skincare routine underneath to avoid feeling dry, as it can feel slightly drying on its own. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 29, 2020
After using NARS Namsan, I switched to this and I love how much brighter it makes me look! It was definitely recommended as a summer foundation, and it lives up to that - no darkening and it gives a clean skin finish. Plus, the cushion design is just so pretty! The puff... it's so sticky that it makes applying makeup really difficult. I feel like if I try to touch up with this puff, it'll be a disaster. Why is this the default puff? I just swapped out the puff for a different one and it made applying makeup so much easier! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 28, 2019
No darkening effect. Even when sweating, the makeup beads up on the skin, so you can just blot with a tissue and your makeup stays intact. Dealing with dead skin cells in the dead of winter... It looks matte, and while the deep dryness isn't severe, it appears that way. Nothing special to add. Just one generous application and it lasts for twelve hours without a hitch.
