I frequently use this contour product because it's more budget-friendly than others and creates a natural shadow color! The shade seems to lean more warm-toned than cool-toned. I wish it came in a trio palette - that would have been even better. For a sculpted nose, start by using a stick contour to create more intense shadows, then finish with this powder contour for a perfectly chiseled look. - na******Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedMay 13, 2025
I love the natural contouring effect! It doesn't have a yellow undertone and the color payoff is great. I tend to only use the lighter shades. I've heard the darker colors have such intense pigmentation that they're quite noticeable. I think it would be better if it only came with lighter shades... - na********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 22, 2025
Skin tone: Light undertone (cool-toned) Skin type: Combination Color payoff: ★★★★ Longevity: ★★★★ A shading product without redness is a true gem! My skin tends to look darker when I use products with red undertones, but the Rom&nd shading is absolutely fantastic because it lacks any redness. The color payoff is great (though not so intense that it looks unnatural), and the longevity? It's outstanding - it lasts all day! I also think the price point is quite reasonable. I can't recommend this product enough - it's a must-try! This product is so perfect that I can't find any flaws to mention... - ct****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedApr 11, 2025
As someone with a cool skin tone, I love how naturally this applies without any red or yellow undertones. There's hardly any excess powder, which is fantastic. I find myself reaching for it often, and since a little goes a long way, I've been using it for ages. There's no excess powder and I'm using it well, so I don't have any complaints. - mm****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 8, 2025
Color - ★★★★☆ (4/5) The neutral to warm shadowy color might appear slightly reddish on summer cool skin tones, but it's not too muddy or excessively yellow, allowing for a subtle contour effect! It worked better for nose contouring rather than all-over shading, resulting in a more natural and flattering look. Pigmentation - ★★★★☆ (4/5) The subtle color payoff made it easy to control! Even those with fair and bright complexions can use it without it being too intense, making it great for daily contouring. It builds up nicely without caking, even with multiple layers. Texture - ★★★★★ (5/5) The powder is incredibly fine, adhering seamlessly to the skin! There's minimal excess, and it blends smoothly for a natural finish. It sets without feeling heavy, making it suitable even for oily areas! Longevity - ★★★★☆ (4/5) It applies evenly and maintains a clean finish over time. However, on particularly sweaty or oily days, a slight touch-up might be necessary. - While not the perfect shade for cool summer skin tones, it still works well for creating an overall natural contour. - The lack of a mirror in the packaging makes it somewhat inconvenient for quick touch-ups when out and about. - yu******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsApr 7, 2025
I originally had another product I was using, but on a day I had plans, my contour completely fell apart... So I rushed into the nearest Olive Young and bought this as it was the cheapest contour I could find. I think that's where its merit lies - in the price point! Like most contours these days, it's divided into two shades, which is great because I can mix and match to create my desired color. For contour, you really only need to consider the color, how it applies, and value for money. Unfortunately, the color and application aren't great... So I don't have much else positive to say about it, sadly. No matter what makeup I do, I always use cool-toned contours. Warm-toned ones tend to look yellowish and don't sit well on my face. So I chose this shade, but the redness is seriously too intense. When I contour my nose, it ends up looking way too red. And when I contour my jawline, the lines are far too visible... Honestly, I probably won't repurchase this. It's not so bad that I'll throw it away before finishing it, but once it's done, I'll likely go back to the contour I was using before. If you're looking for a truly natural, shadow-like color, I highly recommend Peripera's Grayish Cool! - yh******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedMar 6, 2025
I recently felt the need to use contour again after not using it for a while, so I bought this. I'm currently using Auten Grain, and I think it would suit cool-toned folks well...! Since it's a product with grayish undertones, it matches well with my summer cool-toned skin! The powder is finely milled and not too pigmented, so I think beginners would find it easy to use too. Even though I'm not particularly skilled, I can apply it without it being noticeable, which makes it convenient to use. Above all, it's not too dark, so it's easy to control the amount and great for nose contouring! The downside is that sometimes the contour applies patchily, possibly due to issues with my base makeup. I think it would be fine if you evenly apply finishing powder over it! - so************Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedFeb 14, 2025
It creates a natural shadow effect. With two shades available, you can contour more delicately. When contouring the jawline, it tends to clump slightly. It's best to apply it in small amounts. - so*******Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 13, 2025
It seems perfect for creating a natural-looking contour. Although it's marketed as a cool-toned contour, even I, with my warm undertones, find it works well. This product is truly a game-changer for nose contouring! I initially bought it because of the price, but now I'm considering repurchasing. There was a bit of excess powder fallout, and since it comes with two shades, you'll need to blend them well for the best results. Try using this for nose contouring! - kk**********Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedFeb 7, 2025
The color is perfect for cool-toned skin types. If you use the lighter shade, it's versatile enough for not just jaw contouring, but also for creating shadows on various parts of the face. The pigmentation is great! I love that it's like a budget-friendly version of the Too Cool For School contour. For those with very fair skin, it might appear darker than expected. I found it a bit intense for my liking. Also, to be honest, I wasn't too impressed with its staying power. By the time I got home, it had almost completely faded. That was a bit disappointing. It's divided into lighter and darker sections, so you can blend them for jaw contouring. For nose contouring or the sides of the nose, using the lighter shade creates a more natural look.
