At first application, I thought it might not absorb well due to its thickness, but after using it for a few days, I realized it actually absorbs quite nicely. It's great for calming the skin, provides excellent hydration, and leaves a beautiful glow as if it's coating the skin.
ConsBecause it doesn't spread easily, you tend to use more product than usual. It's a bit too heavy for summer use, making it more suitable for fall and winter seasons.

The Purple Cabbage Drop is said to help soothe the skin, while also providing hydration and anti-inflammatory care. It seems suitable for use when your skin isn't at its best, and it's likely a good serum for super sensitive skin. The formula isn't sticky and absorbs well into the skin. Instead of purified water, it contains a high concentration of Jeju red cabbage extract, and beta-glucan is said to help with anti-inflammatory, soothing, and moisturizing care. The purple color comes from the natural hue of the red cabbage ingredient, not artificial coloring, which is reassuring. I also love that it's a vegan brand!
ConsThe price point is a bit high, which is disappointing. It might be a little burdensome for repurchasing.

Since I already have multiple serums, I decided to try just this one as part of The Hwahae Testers program. Here's my take: It offers gentle yet highly concentrated skincare. As someone with super sensitive skin, I noticed it even has a calming effect. My skin tends to turn red at the slightest touch, and even light scratching leaves marks, but with this serum, I didn't experience any itching after application! The transparent bottle is truly a heart-stealer! The dropper-style packaging allows for hygienic use and easy control of the amount. The serum itself is purple, not just the bottle, which gives the impression of being rich in red cabbage extract and instills a sense of trust.
ConsOn the downside, it's not a particularly hydrating type. Those who prefer a more elastic feel might not favor it. This serum has more of a smooth application with a slightly sticky texture.
TipI mixed a drop of jojoba oil with the serum after my skincare routine and applied it before bed. Woke up to perfect, glowing skin!

It contains beta-glucan and red cabbage extract, which are great for soothing, calming, and hydrating the skin. Maybe that's why I didn't experience any blemishes. Also, I was impressed by how long the hydration lasted after application. It's perfect for this cold weather we're having!
ConsWhen I first applied it, it felt too sticky, and this sensation lingered for a while, which I didn't like. Also, the stopper didn't work properly, making it difficult to get the product out. That was quite inconvenient.
TipI used this after applying a hydrating serum and a pore-minimizing serum. Using all three together seemed to enhance the effects. As a result, my skin has improved significantly.

It provides deep moisturization, preventing any skin tightness. I didn't even need to use an emulsion - the serum alone seems to be enough. Because it prevents deep dryness, I usually just apply this serum and go about my day. Also, since the product I received was for soothing, it was great to see that the annoying blemishes I've had for the past few days calmed down within just 3 days of using this!
ConsAlthough it's said to have good moisturizing properties, I found it a bit challenging as it doesn't absorb quickly into the skin. I felt like it sat on the surface of my skin quite noticeably, and it took a long time to penetrate deeper. This made me feel a bit uncomfortable, especially with all the fine dust in the air these days.
TipThe serum has a thick consistency, so it's best to apply a fast-absorbing toner or emulsion first, then use this serum to lock in the moisture and hydration.

I didn't expect much since it's labeled as a soothing ampoule, but wow - it's like they removed all the water from a regular ampoule to create this thick, rich formula! I've used many heavy and sticky ampoules before, but this one feels particularly substantial, really living up to the 'ampoule' name. I'm prone to redness, and this noticeably calmed it down. The next morning, my skin felt as moisturized as if I'd used a sleeping pack! While it might be a bit much for oily skin types, I highly recommend it for those with dry skin. I love that the slim bottle doesn't take up much space on my vanity, and the subtle fragrance that briefly lingers is delightful. As someone who likes to try all the hyped products, this ampoule is definitely on my list for future purchases!
ConsGiven the thick consistency, it would be more user-friendly if they could enlarge the rubber part of the dropper or widen the dropper's opening for easier application.
TipSince it applies quite thickly, make sure to take extra care in letting it absorb fully when using it in your morning routine!

Applying too much of an oil-rich emulsion led to blemishes, but after trying this product, I realized that those with dry skin absolutely need to use a serum. It claims to soothe and nourish the skin, and I felt that when I applied it before bed, it slightly calmed my inflammatory acne. For skin prone to blemishes, using too much cream or oil can often make things worse. But for those like me with dry, blemish-prone skin, it's not easy to avoid creams and oils altogether. That's why using a serum with some viscosity between toner and cream keeps skin light but not dry. The texture spreads smoothly, absorbs quickly, and has minimal stickiness. It's heavier than a toner but lighter than an ampoule, so I'd recommend it for those who find toner and emulsion alone insufficient. Plus, it's a vegan brand, so you can trust the ingredients.
ConsI've only been using it for a week, so I haven't found any downsides yet. Seeing as it hasn't caused any issues with my super sensitive skin, I think I'll continue using it consistently.

My sister has been struggling with blemishes, so I was excited to test it out. Absorbs: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absorbs well: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hydration: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was pretty good! It really helped calm her skin. We're planning to keep using it. These stubborn blemishes have been around for so long, it's hard to imagine them ever disappearing completely. But seeing the marks gradually fade gives us a sense of accomplishment!
ConsThe one downside is that it contains fragrance in the ingredients list. That's a bit disappointing. The main reason I use Hwahae is to carefully check product ingredients. If they could improve that aspect, it would be even better.

Here's a summary: Summary: Hydrating, seems to calm skin quickly (see photo) 1. Hydrating It's super hydrating, almost to the point of being sticky, but should be fine if applied in a thin layer. 2. Quick calming effect The calming effect is fast, about 20 minutes? There's an overall change in skin tone, and you can see areas that have calmed down. Especially red blemishes almost disappear~ The calming effect is top-notch!
ConsSummary: Minor blemish occurrence, sticky texture 1. Minor blemish occurrence This might seem contradictory to the calming effect I mentioned in the pros, but here's the deal: while it generally calms blemishes a lot, if you apply too much or use it on days when your skin isn't in great condition, you might get a few new, very faint red blemishes. This happens even as existing blemishes are calming down. But these new ones don't develop into pus-filled blemishes, which is why I still listed the calming effect as a pro! More blemishes disappear than appear. 2. Sticky texture It's extremely sticky, feels like you've spread honey on your face~ If you really dislike sticky products, you'll probably hate this texture!
TipYou can apply it generously like a sleeping pack and then wipe it off, or just apply a thin layer before bed. Either way, your skin will improve!

After application, my skin had a dewy glow. The moisturizing effect isn't heavy; instead, it gives a smooth, luminous hydration. Once fully absorbed, there's a slight stickiness, but the moisturizing effect reaches deep into the skin!
ConsThe downside was that while it did have a soothing effect, it seemed to focus more on hydration. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, it worked well on my cheeks, but I couldn't apply it to my chin where I needed the most soothing as it felt too oily. I could only use it before bed! Also, the dropper doesn't draw up the product properly, so you need to pump it several times to get enough out.
TipWhen mixed with your regular cream and applied to the cheeks before makeup, it absorbs to give a luminous glow and enhances skin texture. However, those with combination or oily skin should use only a tiny amount.
