With its skin-friendly ingredients, I thought I'd found the perfect two-in-one solution for summer. Since I don't usually wear makeup, the added coverage benefit made it impossible to resist. In this era of mask-wearing, I figured it would be ideal for my son and husband who exercise and dislike sticky sunscreens. I was so excited waiting for it to arrive.
ConsWow... it's truly awful. I knew it wasn't transparent, but when I applied it after my skincare routine, it pilled horribly. The way it sat on my skin and moved around made me look like I had caked-on makeup - it was shocking. Thinking maybe my son could use it for sports, I tried applying it on him. It transferred onto his clothes terribly when I put it on his neck, and he found it uncomfortable to apply. After trying it once, our family immediately stopped using it.

ConsWhen patting it on, some powder gets into my nose and makes me sneeze. It pills too much when applied over BB cream.
TipIn summer, just do your skincare routine and then immediately pat this on.

It's really great for oily skin types. I think it would work well on its own without any other makeup.
ConsTo be honest, I wanted to use it like a powder, but it didn't work out. When I applied it over my cushion foundation, it pilled and clumped up. I don't use it much now, so I'm planning to use it on my body instead.

ConsIt pills terribly. When I applied sunscreen and then another powder, it didn't pill, but with this powder alone, it pills badly. I really can't recommend it. Also, it's too powdery and flies everywhere even when I apply just a small amount. I really can't recommend it at all.
TipWell, if there's a way to test it first, I'd suggest doing that before buying. Don't just purchase it blindly because of good ingredients!

I have a child past infancy and I'm pregnant, so I rarely wear makeup and was even concerned about sunscreen. I didn't want to use children's sunscreen as it would leave my face looking too bare. My mom bought this from a home shopping channel, telling me it's made with natural minerals. Since I started using it, it's been perfect for me! After cleansing, I apply my basic emulsion, let it absorb a bit, then use this product. Just a light pat is enough - it doesn't leave any patchiness and subtly evens out my complexion without looking unnatural. I keep this one in my bag, check it in the mirror, and reapply when the UV is strong. With its high SPF, I often don't need to touch up all day!
ConsThe lid occasionally opens in my bag. If you apply it right after your emulsion, it will obviously clump and quickly damage the puff. You need to wait a moment for absorption before using it.
TipI hardly used the small brush-type product as it dispensed erratically and was hard to maintain. I used up the puff-type and then refilled it with what was left in the brush-type.

My skin is super sensitive, and most regular sunscreens tend to cause blemishes. However, this product works well for me without causing any issues, except for the occasional small bumps that can occur with powder formulations. Even then, it's just one or two tiny spots now and then!
ConsIt tends to pill a bit. My skin is on the dry side, so I try to use it after applying a solid skincare base and letting it absorb well. Despite this, it still pills over oils or rich creams.
TipYou need to be careful with the amount you apply.

It brightens the face naturally without looking unnatural. For brush products (not cushion powders), the brush is fairly soft and usable. In my experience, it didn't cause many blemishes (though this may vary for others). Being oil-resistant, it has good staying power for daily wear. It doesn't settle into the creases around the nose.
ConsIf you have dead skin cells, the powder can emphasize them quite noticeably. The price isn't particularly cheap compared to drugstore brands. There's significant powder fallout - you might turn into a powder manufacturer if you apply this in public spaces (it's worse with unwashed or old puffs). When tapping the puff or opening the lid quickly, powder flies everywhere like flour in slow-motion noodle-making videos. Like most sun protection products, it stings terribly if it gets in your eyes, so be careful.
TipIf your skin is very oily, instead of controlling oil, the powder might clump. When you can't wash your face, I recommend blotting excess oil with oil-absorbing sheets or tissues before applying. This helps prevent oil from seeping through after powder application. Regularly washing the puff reduces fallout and dispenses an appropriate amount of product. As with all cosmetics, not cleansing properly can leave residue on the skin.

It's super convenient to quickly brush it on your neck, hands, and arms before heading out. I was amazed to find it doesn't contain any harmful ingredients. Its powder-like texture is great for applying over makeup with a brush, which also helps control oil!
ConsTo keep it hygienic, you need to change the puff frequently, which feels like a waste of money. Being a powder formula, I'm skeptical about how effective the sun protection really is.
TipI mainly apply it on my neck and the back of my hands. It's not ideal to apply over makeup as it can cause pilling and the powder might clump. It's best to use regular sunscreen before makeup, then use this with a brush for touch-ups. While I wish puff replacements were cheaper and easier to find, I plan to repurchase after I finish my current one.

Bought it for summer oil control and it's pretty decent. Just pat it on oily areas. Works great on the eyelids too, helps eyeshadow apply smoothly.
ConsThe puff is terrible... Applying it directly on makeup causes clumping and patchiness. The puff gets dirty quickly, and while you can buy refill puffs, they're expensive. The cost of refills outweighs the benefits. I'd rather buy a new product than refill puffs. I open the lid and use a brush instead.
TipRecommend using a brush!

Mineral sunscreens are out for me due to the white cast. Even oil-free sunscreens would make my makeup separate and crack, while moisturizing ones would cause my skin to become super oily and break out. That's why I avoided sunscreens for a while. But this one works great when patted on over makeup. It doesn't seem to cause separation either. It's even better when applied with a brush using the right amount. It doesn't feel heavy on bare skin, and I haven't noticed any blemishes yet. I'm tempted to try the sun stick version, but I'm a bit hesitant. For now, I'll stick with this sun powder.
ConsThere's some excess powder when applying, and if you're not careful it can clump a bit. But I guess that's unavoidable with powder products.
TipTry using a brush instead of the puff for application.
