First off, it provides excellent hydration. Even though I have super sensitive skin, it works well regardless of my skin condition! I've repurchased this several times, and one of the reasons is that while other serums sometimes don't suit me depending on my skin's condition, this one always works perfectly. I definitely plan to buy it again. I've been using this serum for 4 or 5 bottles now, and compared to other serums, it provides good hydration with no real downsides. However, apart from moisturizing, I haven't seen significant effects in other areas like firmness. If my skin were made of steel, I might consider spending a bit more for something with more functional benefits at this price point. It works best when paired with the cream from the same line! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 6, 2020
I tried a sample of this product and I'm impressed! The lightweight texture absorbs quickly, making it incredibly easy to apply. It's packed with hydration, leaving my skin feeling wonderfully moisturized. After application, there's no stickiness - just soft, supple skin. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to gently start their anti-aging routine. However, I didn't notice any dramatic improvements in brightening or wrinkle reduction. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 23, 2020
Ingredients: Primera seems to have really focused on the ingredients in their recent products. While some of their older products contained potentially harmful ingredients, I'm pleased to see that the newer ones have a much cleaner formulation. Scent: It's fragrance-free, but if you smell closely, there's a slight fermented or yeast-like scent. It's not particularly pleasant, but it's not off-putting either. Texture: This essence has a thin, watery consistency that absorbs well. It's so hydrating that it gives your skin a nice glow. Hydration: The moisturizing power is slightly less than I expected. Overall: I'd recommend this more as a general hydrating essence rather than a firming one. Although it's marketed as a firming essence, it feels more like a regular hydrating essence than something that improves skin elasticity. If you're expecting significant firming effects, you might end up disappointed. Applying two or three layers improves the hydration and doesn't cause any pilling. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 4, 2020
* Texture: Among the firming essences I've tried, this one has a thinner consistency, making it easier to apply while massaging. It also feels refreshing on the skin. * Scent: It has a neutral fragrance that likely won't be polarizing. * Hydration: While it feels nice when applying and massaging for firmness, it doesn't seem to excel in moisturizing. My skin feels quite dry the next morning. * Other notes: Most firming essences are quite expensive, but I'm satisfied with this product's value for money. Also, even when layering it twice, there's no pilling at all. The hydration aspect is somewhat disappointing. As for improvements in firmness, it might take a few months of use to see noticeable effects. Applying a hydrating essence before this product significantly improves the moisturizing effect. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 15, 2020
[ Texture ] The consistency is thicker than a toner but thinner than an essence. It's slightly runny, like nasal mucus, with a bit of viscosity. Perfect for those who use multiple skincare products and want to add this in between! [ Absorption ] It applies with a moisturizing feel and absorbs quite quickly. There's hardly any oily sensation, mostly just a hydrating feel. However, its compatibility seems to vary greatly depending on what products you use before and after it. As someone with very dry skin, I always need to finish with an oily cream. When I used this product followed by Physiogel DMT, it was a disaster - pilling and clumping everywhere! In the busy morning, it was frustrating to have little balls of product rolling off my skin... I had to wipe it off with toner and start over. But when I followed it with a light emulsion (like the Round Lab one), there were no issues at all! [ Scent ] It's nearly fragrance-free, but if I had to describe it, there's a faint woody scent reminiscent of a furniture store. It's definitely not an off-putting smell, just very subtle. [ Effectiveness ] After my skin was irritated from airplane and public transport heaters, I used this product before bed at the hotel... To my surprise, I woke up with lots of tiny blemishes and redness! Since this was the only new product in my routine, I figured its active ingredients might be too much for compromised skin. I stopped using it for the rest of the trip and tried again once I got home. After my skin had calmed down, it worked fine! However, since this product specializes in anti-aging and antioxidant benefits, it's hard for me to gauge its effectiveness... I think I need more time to see results. There were no immediate effects. (They say good skincare doesn't always show instant results!) I'd need to use it consistently to really tell, but unfortunately, I only had a sample size... which is a shame. While I can't speak to its wrinkle-reducing or firming effects yet, I feel like I might have seen some improvement in skin texture. [ Conclusion ] If you have dry skin, don't expect this product to provide enough moisture on its own - you'll definitely need to use a moisturizer with it! Those with sensitive skin should do a patch test first. It might not be suitable for easily irritated skin! For those with oily skin, this should be a really nice, lightweight option! The quantity and price point are a bit disappointing. For anti-aging and firming benefits, consistent use would be ideal, but... Be careful when using this with thick, oily products - it might pill up like eraser shavings! (I've detailed this above)
