Isoi products are gentle and wonderful. Layering it about three times leaves my skin feeling nicely hydrated.
ConsIt's a bit inconvenient that you can't see through the container. While it provides hydration, I'm not sure about its effectiveness for wrinkle improvement and other benefits.
TipFor easier use, try transferring it to an empty mist bottle.

Occasionally develops small bumps or redness. Thin skin prone to flushing. Used morning and evening after cleansing for 7 days before writing this review. * Ingredients True to its name as a Rose Lux Toner, it contains 90% rose flower water instead of purified water. This gives it a natural, subtle rose scent without artificial fragrances, which I really appreciate. Sugarcane extract, great for exfoliation, is the 6th ingredient. It also contains hyaluronic acid and ceramides, which seem to help prevent moisture loss right after cleansing. * Texture / Application / Absorption Not quite a watery texture. It's between water and mucus, leaning towards a thinner consistency. I applied it with a cotton pad. At first application, I was surprised by how sticky it felt - almost like a watery glue. After letting it absorb briefly and applying serum, it felt like paper would stick to my skin! However, I think this was partly because the toner was quite cold from recent delivery. With continued use, it's not as extreme. There's a slight stickiness initially, but as it absorbs, the surface feels soft while the skin feels hydrated underneath. On particularly dry days, patting it on twice really helped alleviate deep dryness. Just make sure to pat it in thoroughly before moving on to the next skincare step. * Overall I think this would work well for all skin types. It might be especially good for those who experience intense dryness right after cleansing. No irritating ingredients and no blemishes while using it... Depending on your skin condition, you can use it with a cotton pad, and since it's not too viscous, you could also use it as an exfoliating toner on days when you need more dead skin cell removal or texture improvement. I think a toner's role is to alleviate post-cleansing dryness, soothe the skin, and even out skin texture - and this product seems to fulfill those functions well. The 300ml size for 12,900 won is also a merit, making it affordable for generous use.
ConsI wouldn't recommend this to those who dislike even the slightest sticky feeling. It's somewhat okay if you only apply and absorb the toner, but when you apply serum or cream afterwards, the sticky feeling on the skin surface seems to intensify. Your hands too! Of course, this feeling disappears completely over time, but those who prefer a fresh and powdery application might not like it. While it does contain anti-aging ingredients, they don't seem to be in high concentrations. Still, those with super sensitive skin should be cautious!

It leaves skin feeling hydrated. The hyaluronic acid content is great for deep dryness. I love that it has a watery consistency rather than a slimy texture. The packaging is simple and attractive.
ConsThe scent might be polarizing (I'm not a fan). There's a slightly sticky feeling. Personally, I'm not sure about its effectiveness for wrinkle improvement.
TipIt works well as the final step in your cleansing routine. Apply the exfoliating toner, then reapply for better absorption before moving on to the rest of your skincare regimen.

Always struggling with dead skin cells during transitional seasons, and when my skin suddenly becomes dry, sebum production increases, leading to acne. Pores on my forehead, nose, and around the nose get clogged due to excess oil, while the outer cheeks and around the mouth become dry, causing itchiness and small bumps. Advantages after 7 days of use: The hydration is noticeable and it absorbs well, allowing for layering! After applying the toner and gently patting it in, I feel a pleasant cooling effect. My deep dryness and skin tightness improved after just two days. As the weather's getting warmer, I'm focusing on moisturizing while trying to minimize products to avoid clogged pores. This toner alone can complete my basic skincare routine. (It's also great during my period) Depending on my skin's needs, I finish with a hydrating cream or jojoba oil! My skin seems more balanced - sebum production has decreased, and there's less oiliness in the T-zone. At 12,900 won for 300ml, I think it's great value for money. Plus, either due to my improved skin or the toner's quality, my makeup seems to apply better too.
ConsPersonally, I have no complaints. If I had to find something, it's marketed as an anti-wrinkle product, but I haven't seen significant effects on wrinkles yet. It's only been a week though, so that's to be expected. Update 8/14: After winning the Hwahae Testers selection, I loved it so much that I ordered two more from Isoi's official site. However, as the season changed from spring to summer, my skin started acting up with increased sebum and oil production. Perhaps due to changing skin conditions, what once felt pleasantly firm now feels heavy, and I notice more oiliness. The cooling effect has turned into a burning sensation, and my face feels hotter after using the toner than before cleansing. It seems it's not suitable for sensitive skin. Those with acne-prone sensitive skin should be cautious - it might be better for those with relatively healthy skin.
TipI don't have any special tips, but here's how I use it: After showering or cleansing, I gently pat away excess water, then apply the toner using just my hands. Usually, I layer it 5-7 times. For the final layer, I either mix a drop of jojoba oil with the toner or apply a modeling mask after using the toner, rinse it off lightly, and finish with toner and a hydrating cream.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThe Hwahae Testers' quick take: A hydrating toner perfect for seasonal changes, gentle even on sensitive skin. I've been a fan of Isol products, and previously enjoyed Mamonde's Rose Water Toner and Alteya Organics Rose Water Toner for quite some time. So, I was curious about Isol's Rose Lux Toner. Compared to the Isol Cica Youth Toner I was using before, this one is more hydrating but slightly less immediately soothing. On a scale of 10: Isol Cica Youth Toner: Hydration 6, Soothing 8 This product: Hydration 8, Soothing 6 It seems ideal for keeping skin moisturized and feeling good during seasonal transitions. Scent: A lovely, subtle rose fragrance. It's a familiar rose scent. Quantity: Generous amount - enough to apply twice and still have plenty left. One of the reasons I love Isol! Texture: A clear, watery consistency
ConsThe product claims to have anti-wrinkle effects due to adenosine listed on the back, but I'm not sure about that yet.
TipMy skin is so sensitive that even the Dokdo Toner causes burning and irritation. Even products like Cynic Super Moist Cream and Cynic The Simple Toner, which many sensitive skin users recommend, didn't work for me. However, Isol products generally suit me well. I've been consistently using the Isol Cica Youth Toner + Anti-Irritation Serum combination for over two years. The Rose Lux Toner + Anti-Irritation Serum combo is also nice! It seems to address deep dryness.

The scent is lovely When I first applied it to my face, I caught a whiff of fresh roses. I thought it might contain fragrance, but it doesn't - just good ingredients! 2. It's deeply moisturizing with long-lasting effects Amazingly, it seems to sink right into the skin after one application. After two or three layers, my skin becomes instantly hydrated and develops a glow that lasts for about 6 hours. The formula doesn't just sit on top of the skin and dry out; instead, the moisture penetrates deeply, keeping my skin hydrated from within. 3. It doesn't cause any blemishes I usually dislike products for skin barrier improvement or wrinkle reduction because they tend to make my face oily and cause minor breakouts. However, this product hasn't caused a single blemish, even with continued use. That's a big plus! 4. It genuinely improves the skin barrier With the changing seasons, my skin had been feeling rough. But after using this toner, I noticed my skin becoming smoother when I touch it in the morning. It really feels like my skin barrier is improving. 5. It's affordably priced Not only does it have great ingredients, but it's also reasonably priced. I plan to repurchase once I finish this bottle. 6. It enhances the absorption of subsequent skincare products After applying the Rose Lux Toner twice or more, its adhesive texture helps my serums stick to my skin better. My skincare doesn't just sit on the surface anymore; it feels like it's being thoroughly absorbed and filling my skin.
Cons1. It tends to attract dust and hair After applying the toner, its sticky texture tends to attract dust. This improves once it's fully absorbed, but it's a bit of an issue due to its adhesive formula. 2. Uncertain about its wrinkle-reducing effects While it claims to help with wrinkle reduction, I haven't noticed this benefit yet. It might be more about wrinkle prevention? I'll need to use it longer to know for sure.
TipFor maximum effectiveness, I recommend using a toner pad to smooth your skin texture before applying the Rose Lux Toner. It really helps it absorb deeply into the skin. Applying it twice is enough to keep your skin hydrated, so I use it once in the morning and twice at night. Pro tip: keep it in the fridge for a cooling, soothing effect! Since switching to this toner, I've noticed that my other skincare products seem more effective. The combination works so well that I plan to keep using this toner indefinitely!
