This lip oil outperforms any lip balm or oil I've tried in terms of lasting power. I've used almost every famous lip balm out there, from drugstore brands like Uriage and Carmex to department store favorites like Fresh, Sisley, and Bobbi Brown, but I've never encountered a lip moisturizer that keeps lips hydrated for as long as this one does. While typical moisturizing lip balms feel like they're coating your lips with wax, this product seems to absorb and fill in dryness from within. Just one application keeps lips moisturized for nearly half a day. For someone like me who tends to pick at dry lips until they bleed, this product is a godsend, especially since regular lip balms dry out and start to feel tight after just an hour. I've tried the Honey, Raspberry, and Red Berry flavors, and I've gone through more than five tubes of Red Berry alone. The only downside was the color range, but lo and behold, they released Black Berry. While it looks intense, it goes on as a sheer burgundy or blood red. It gives my deep undertone complexion a more natural flush and brightens my face better than Red Berry. With this color addition addressing the only flaw, it's become a 'I'll seek revenge if they discontinue it' product for me. The scent is reminiscent of grape jam. The initial color doesn't stay exactly the same over time. It doesn't completely fade to white, but rather leaves a thin, long-lasting tint. The glass-like shine is only present when first applied. If you're after that glass-like finish, opt for MAC lip gloss instead. That's the real deal for shine. While the amount might seem small, the long-lasting formula means it lasts longer than you'd expect. It's also great to apply before bed.
