The chili color is truly beautiful, with a slight orange undertone. Value for money: Absolutely top-notch! If you buy it during a sale, it's incredibly affordable, even for students. Packaging: Personally, I'm head over heels for it! I love this case design so much that I plan to collect them even after I've used up the product. Scent: It has a fruity aroma? As someone who enjoys these kinds of scents, I personally loved it.
ConsThe longevity and staining power are a bit disappointing. It comes off easily if you lick your lips. While the transparent case design is pretty, it's a shame you can see the tint disappearing. It also tends to leak a bit. It seems to emphasize dead skin cells more than expected.
TipI think this works better for a gradient look. It's better to apply it and then blend it out later. I'd recommend exfoliating before application.

I have a deep undertone complexion. I heard Etude's Dear Darling Tint got a makeover (why did I just find out now?), so I rushed to buy it. Color: It's basically a perfect gochujang shade, but when applied, it's a nice orange-red! Staining: It doesn't come off easily - great staying power! Redesign: I used to feel a bit self-conscious applying the old version in public, but this new one looks much more sophisticated. Price: It's so affordable, making it an excellent choice for beginners in the lip tint world :)
ConsStaining: How do I put this... it seems to turn pink over time? Quite surprising! Also, it's pretty resistant to cleansing, unfortunately. Application: I had high hopes because of the redesign, but alas, it still doesn't apply well on the upper lip. The patchy application is also a bit of an issue.

As someone with a warm skin tone, I love how it beautifully blends orange and red to create a gorgeous shade. It's a really rich and deep color. Every time I try an Etude tint, I'm reminded of how lovely the fragrance is.
ConsThe downside is that this product confirmed my suspicion that water-based tints don't work well for me. I have extremely dry lips prone to dead skin cells, and my lip color usually fades quickly. Perhaps because of this, the water-gel texture of this product just didn't suit me. It wouldn't apply or stain my upper lip at all, and on my lower lip, it only clung to the dry patches. As for staying power, well, that's not even worth mentioning... Also, the bottle breaks too easily and leaks quickly when carried around. While Etude House is great at creating lip colors, I think they need to work harder on their formulations. I won't be repurchasing this line.
TipYou need to blend it quickly for a gradient effect right after application. Using a cotton swab to spread the tint rapidly is another method. If you don't, it will only stain the areas with dead skin cells. Try to avoid rubbing your lips together too much. And whatever you do, don't drop the bottle!

Perfect Fall Color They really nailed the shade for autumn. It's a deep red with just a hint of orange. I used to use Dear Darling before, but it wasn't this rich. I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful this color is when I tested it on a whim! 2. Unbeatable Price I first bought Dear Darling about 6 or 7 years ago, and it was around $4 then. It's amazing that it's still only $4 now! It's so affordable that you can easily pick one up if you've forgotten your lip color at home. 3. Water Gel Formula Usually, such deep shades come in a matte finish, but I love that this one has a water gel texture. It's moisturizing and easy to apply! 4. Flattering Stain I really dislike tints that leave a pink stain, but this one doesn't! It leaves a beautiful red-orange stain instead, which I absolutely love! I usually only use lipsticks, but I bought this tint on a whim for a change. The color is so pretty that I find myself using it often! The long-lasting stain is convenient, and above all, I'm in love with the color!
Cons1. Emphasizes Dead Skin Cells The stain tends to cling to dead skin cells, so it doesn't apply evenly if you have any flaky bits. Exfoliation is a must! 2. Strong Staining Power The stain is quite intense and doesn't come off easily.
Tip1. Vaseline Trick If you're worried about dead skin cells, apply a generous amount of Vaseline, exfoliate, then apply the tint. It'll look moisturized and beautiful! You can also apply Vaseline over the tint for extra hydration. 2. Test It Yourself I've seen many reviews and photos, but none seem to capture the true color accurately (even my own photos don't do it justice). Also, the color can vary depending on your natural lip color and skin tone, so it's best to test it yourself if you have the chance! The actual color is deeper red and less pink than in the photos! (+ I discovered that the Dear Darling Water Gel Tint comes in over 10 shades! I tested them and they all seem to have great color payoff. Drop by Etude House and check them out for yourself!)

It's a red shade, but a bit deeper and richer, which suits my skin tone perfectly. I'm in love with it!
ConsFrom a design perspective, it's difficult to stand the tint upright, and it keeps falling over. I wish I could easily prop it up on the cap side.
TipThe staining happens quite quickly, so you need to blend it on your lips right away. If it gets on your hands, wipe it off immediately, or it'll stain. I learned that the hard way, unfortunately.

It had the potential to be my holy grail tint! The sweet taste and pleasant scent were also quite enjoyable.
ConsAfter about 10 minutes, all that's left on the lips is a single line of tint... It fades unevenly, leaving an unattractive line on the inner lips. The staining power is poor and the longevity is really disappointing. I've found that mixing it with a matte balm, like Mamonde's, works better for me!
TipKeep reapplying and always check if it's worn off after talking!

The color is absolutely gorgeous! If you imagine Fig Red as 70% orange and 30% red, Chili Red would be about 40% orange and 60% red. The pigmentation is out of this world! It applies so beautifully! And the price? Super affordable, which is perfect for a student like me with a tight budget. It's a real blessing! If you're a student craving a new tint but don't want to break the bank, I highly recommend this one! It's especially great for those with dry lips since it doesn't dry down to a matte finish. Also, if you love quick-staining tints, this one's for you!
ConsUnfortunately, it tends to settle into lip lines, which is disappointing. Even if you quickly blend it with your fingers for a gradient effect, those lip lines still show up. Also, the finish is a bit sticky, which I didn't love. It feels like every speck of dust might cling to my lips.
TipFor best results, I suggest quickly blending it with your fingers right after application. If you love this tint but aren't a fan of the sticky finish, try dusting some no-sebum powder over it after application. That should help!

I've been using it a lot since then! The shade is like an orange-red, but with much more red mixed in...? The color is so beautiful, and it's so affordable that I plan to repurchase when I run out.
ConsEverything was great, but the tint leaked... I have the Grapefruit Red shade, and this one was the only one that leaked. So disappointing!

It's a bit reddish with a hint of orange. The pigmentation is amazing, so I decided to give it a try and it turned out to be quite nice! It's also great as a student-friendly lip tint.
ConsI feel like it doesn't apply well to the upper lip. The staying power isn't great either. The fact that you need to keep reapplying seems to be a drawback.
