I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the color payoff was. No wonder Dior's tint has earned its reputation as a national favorite! The staying power is a bit disappointing as it requires frequent reapplication. I wish it had a bit more longevity. - we****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 29, 2024
The color of this product perfectly matches its name 'Chili Red'. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. I'm using it well. - ch*********Dry SkinDark CirclesJan 7, 2024
* The product on the left in the photo * I used this a long time ago, way before it was reformulated! It was back when those chili pepper red, gochujang-like shades were all the rage. Since it was such a trendy color at the time, I really liked the shade. Plus, the affordable price was definitely a bonus! As time passed, it accentuated wrinkles and made my skin feel dry, so I only used it a few times before giving up on it. The color was also a bit too intense for my liking. - 62**Oily SkinDec 21, 2022
The color is beautiful and the pigmentation is subtle, making it great for layering and building up the intensity. It spoils too easily. I had one that I hadn't even opened yet, stored with other unopened tints, but this one went bad while the others were fine. - wi***Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 2, 2022
1. As a water gel tint, it minimizes the extreme patchiness typical of water tints. It applies evenly and dries well. 2. Great value for money! I bought it again for nostalgia, and it's still as good as I remembered. 3. It has the characteristic clarity, transparency, and natural look of water tints. 1. It can leak a bit if you close it carelessly... This seems unavoidable. 2. I really liked the old princess-style case... I don't understand why Etude House suddenly went modern... It's personally disappointing. It works well when applied on bare skin. - se*****************Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedAug 28, 2021
I bought several of these due to their affordable price. The Dear Darling Water Gel Tint comes in various red shades. As always with lip products, you can't predict the effect (color) just from the name... haha! Chili Red is a brighter red compared to Cherry Red. Cherry Red was a darker, more mature-looking red, while Chili Red gives a lively lip look with just a light application. Applying it more heavily twice or more results in a vibrant, cheerful red. Personally, I preferred Chili Red over Cherry Red. It also stains quite well, which I liked. When you drink coffee or eat a meal, if the color completely disappears, you feel like a different person going out to eat versus coming back home ^^;;; With this product, even after wiping with a tissue, a reddish tint remains, making your lips always appear vibrant. Given how inexpensive the product is, I don't have major complaints about it. However, the marketing could be improved. In these COVID times, even if testers are available, you can't really apply them directly to your lips. Testing on the back of your hand doesn't give an accurate representation of how it looks on lips. It would be helpful if they could provide photos in stores showing the tints applied to models' lips, displaying the most realistic color representation. This would make it easier to understand the various lip tint shades. - se********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 15, 2021
A nostalgic Etude tint from my student days! It's not cherry red, but a deep orange-red shade. Unfortunately, it leaks too much from the case. As expected with tints, it does emphasize dead skin cells. Personally, I think I prefer water tints. - lj***Normal SkinJan 7, 2021
The color is red, but as the name suggests, it's more of a coral-brick shade that would look amazing on warm skin tones. I have a warm complexion myself, and I've been wearing it confidently! I bought it because I absolutely adore the color. Being a tint, it does leave a slight stain. However, it's on the lighter side, so it mostly fades after eating. It's perfect for a casual, lightweight look when you're heading to school or just popping out for a quick errand. Keep an eye out for great deals on Etude's official website and other online stores. They often have 1+1 offers or 50% discounts, which make it a real bargain! Although it's a gel tint, it tends to cling to dry patches, making it challenging to apply evenly. The color doesn't adhere well to the outer parts of the lips, which can make it difficult to achieve a pretty finish. While the tint doesn't leak, a lot of product comes out on the applicator. When I pull out the wand, the tint often splatters. So if I ever wonder where those random tint marks came from, I know it was a Dear Darling Tint day! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedDec 16, 2020
• Shade 25, Summer Cool Mute Greyish Color) True to its 'Chili Red' name, it's a vibrant chili color Brighter and more saturated than MAC's 'Chili' A shade that most cool-toned individuals can wear without feeling overwhelmed Value for money) While most lip products these days cost around $10 This tint is only $4.50! The amount isn't small either, so it's great value for money Shade range) There's quite a variety of shades At a glance, there were over 10 colors From pinks to deep reds, you'll likely find a color you want Design & Packaging) The old version had issues with leaking Now, the anti-leak barrier is much higher The design has become very simple With a cylindrical case and a cleaner logo font For someone like me who prefers simple and clean designs This is a welcome improvement! Texture) The formula is too watery, making it difficult to layer with other tints or apply evenly This has been a characteristic of the 'Dear Darling Tint' for a long time So it might be challenging to change this aspect Durability) The case lid isn't very sturdy Many users have reported broken lids Compared to other products in a similar price range It's definitely lacking in thickness and durability While it's hard to be too critical at this price point If you're prone to dropping things Please keep this in mind when purchasing Recommended for) Those looking for affordable cosmetics People who want a highly saturated chili color Anyone in search of a very watery tint - an********Oily SkinRecommendedNov 4, 2020
The price is incredibly affordable and the color is beautiful. While the staining power isn't the strongest, it's an absolute steal considering the cost... I noticed a bit of a yogurt effect. You don't feel it when applying, but after some time, the separation becomes quite noticeable.
