First off, the color is beautiful. I've tried many light base products, but they always felt dark. This one is pleasantly bright. If you're looking for a pink-based, noticeably brightening moisturizer, this might be worth trying. The powder particles are fine, and the texture feels lightweight, making it easy to apply thinly. I'm not sure about the coverage as I don't usually focus on that, but it doesn't seem particularly great. The light color might contribute to this. It also feels a bit drying. I recommend mixing it with other foundations to adjust the complexion, or using it as a highlight color if you have fair skin. If your natural skin tone is darker, it might be challenging to showcase its pretty color effect. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 13, 2024
I'm so happy to have finally found a foundation/cushion that matches my complexion! I've always had trouble finding the right shade in stores because of my fair skin. If you have very light skin, you might even be able to use this as a full-face product, not just for highlighting. The coverage is rather minimal. It's also extremely drying, so those with dry skin might find it challenging to use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 18, 2024
When it comes to the color, it deserves more than five stars! I have a shade 13 complexion, and most foundations on the market were slightly off. But when I mix a small amount of this product with my foundation, it creates a beautifully brightened look! I highly recommend it! It's incredibly drying... feels like it's sucking all the moisture out of my skin. So you need to mix it with a hydrating foundation... but even then, it's still quite drying. Maybe it's because of the dryness or perhaps the ingredients, or both, but it causes blemishes... Mixing 2 parts of a hydrating foundation with 1 part of Cle de Peau creates a beautiful color with decent staying power - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinFeb 24, 2024
Brightens up the face Extremely drying. If not applied quickly, it tends to set and become stiff due to its drying effect It might be okay if mixed with other products in very small amounts - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 7, 2023
The color was absolutely perfect for someone who could say 'Wow, they're so pale!' I have such fair skin that even 13 shade foundations are too dark, and even foundations marketed as 'light' from overseas are too dark. This color matches my neck perfectly without any difference. It has no yellow undertones, more like white with a drop of pink. It applies thinly on the skin and is great for evening out the complexion. It even seems to slightly blur pores! The coverage is close to zero, but since I'm only using it to even out my skin tone, I can overlook the lack of coverage... However, as I have thin, dry skin, even with good moisturizing beforehand, it still felt a bit drying. If you apply it like an emulsion sleeping pack and then use a puff, it goes on beautifully with a slight glow! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJul 6, 2023
It's one of the easiest to find among very light foundations... It's really bright. Too pink-based. The application isn't great and it's drying. Makes skin look weird. The smell is absolutely awful... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 8, 2020
The color is absolutely gorgeous! I was a foundation nomad, but I've finally settled down with this one and wear it confidently. I heard it's good to mix with other products, but I was skeptical when I bought it. Surprisingly, it works even better for me when used alone! It's quite drying, so I mix it with MAC Strobe Cream. As a result, the staying power isn't great. But using this alone makes my skin really dry. I'm trying my best to apply a solid skincare base underneath. It works well when mixed with MAC Strobe Cream! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSep 10, 2019
First off, my skin tone is around 13, so most foundations on the market are either slightly darker or similar to my skin tone, let alone brightening. But since discovering Cle de Peau 100, I've found it to be an incredible advantage that I can brighten my complexion without using a brightening moisturizer! It's the lightest and most radiant color among all foundations on the market, making it perfect for those who suit a pink base. The adherence of this product is truly top-notch... Once it sets, it doesn't break down or darken even after 10+ hours or when oil surfaces - that's Cle de Peau's greatest strength. Another plus is that despite its small size, it lasts surprisingly long! I've been using it daily for two months and haven't even used half of it yet! I've also noticed many high-end salons in Cheongdam use Cle de Peau foundation. It's a product that offers excellent value for money with its great adherence and resistance to darkening. The main drawback is the limited color range. While shade 100 might be beautifully bright for those wanting a pink base, for those with fair skin but preferring a yellow base, shade 101 might be too dark. Also, the texture initially feels moisturizing, but perhaps due to its strong adherence, it quickly becomes dry. For those with dry skin, even with a well-absorbed moisturizer underneath, it might still feel very drying. Usually, products that adhere well and dry quickly offer good coverage, but this one's coverage is quite low - I'd rate it 2 out of 10 in terms of coverage. I've thought a lot about how to best use this product with its pros of good adherence, no darkening, and excellent tone correction, and cons of being drying and low coverage. Firstly, due to its quick-drying formula, brushes don't work well with this product! It's best to use a damp sponge and quickly pat it in for good adherence. To compensate for the low coverage, mixing it with a high-coverage product can give you both tone correction and coverage. I mix it with Inga's Tattoo Foundation in Ivory, and it wears beautifully without darkening! I highly recommend this method. (This review is based on my personal experience after two months of use.)
