The texture is incredibly smooth and it has a lovely scent. It absorbs well into the skin. You might notice a bit of oiliness on your face in the morning. It's best to use this in the morning rather than at night. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 25, 2020
The texture itself is a soft, pink-tinted cream that makes your skin feel smooth and velvety when applied. It's more like a nourishing cream than a hydrating one, if you know what I mean? However, I'm not a fan of having to use a spatula to scoop it out. Although it's supposed to be a booster cream, it often causes my makeup to pill when I apply it. So I end up using it only before bed or when I'm staying at home. I bought it because it was marketed as a 'perfect fit' cream, but I probably won't repurchase it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 20, 2019
It feels incredibly smooth when applying makeup, and it's so moisturizing! After application, it absorbs with a wonderfully hydrating sensation, like water on the skin. I prefer products that absorb quickly, but this one doesn't absorb as fast as I expected. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 21, 2019
I was looking for a cream that wasn't too oily, and this one is perfect! It's lightweight and makes your skin look smooth. When you apply it before makeup, it transforms rough skin into a silky canvas. The difference in your makeup application with and without this cream is truly noticeable! I can't really think of any downsides to be honest! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 25, 2019
It's not thick or sticky, but rather a smooth, moisturizing type with excellent absorption. As you apply and massage it on the back of your hand, you can feel the hydration bursting, providing intensive moisture. It also creates a great base for makeup application. It doesn't spread evenly overall, but tends to clump in certain areas. So you need to pay extra attention to apply it carefully and evenly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 27, 2018
1. Feels like a moisturizer and primer in one. It's a hydrating gel cream that leaves a velvety finish after absorption. While it doesn't give that ultra-smooth feeling you get from a dedicated primer, it does make your skin texture feel more refined for a cream. 2. Prevents makeup from pilling. My beloved Physiogel Daily Moisture Cream sometimes caused pilling with sunscreen. The Physiogel + Lab No Safe Tone-Up Sunscreen combo was the worst. But this cream paired with Lab No sunscreen didn't pill at all when I did my morning makeup. Overall, it worked well with mineral sunscreens (like Dr.G) and moisturizing hybrid sunscreens (like Lab No). Since this cream aims to create a good base for makeup, it definitely succeeds in that aspect! 3. Suitable hydration for spring and summer. I used this cream from early spring to early September, and it provided just the right amount of hydration for my combination dehydrated skin. For me, the key factors in a cream are how long it keeps my skin hydrated and if it calms my redness. While I'm not sure about the calming effect, I didn't experience any deep dryness in the afternoon when wearing semi-matte foundation, so the hydration lasted quite well. 1. It's okay, but not particularly impressive. I didn't specifically plan to buy this product. I went to buy the Banila Co CC balm and ended up getting this too because of a promotion. Since I didn't have high expectations, I wasn't disappointed, but it didn't wow me either. 2. It creates a film on the skin. This contradicts the first point in the good aspects, but it's worth mentioning. As someone who only rinses with water in the morning, I noticed: a) It doesn't rinse off easily when cleansing b) No noticeable skin-calming effect in the morning c) I tested its moisturizing power by applying it at night too It felt like the cream couldn't absorb fully and mixed with my skin's natural oils, creating a slippery layer that water alone couldn't remove. I had to use a mild acidic foam cleanser around my nose area to get it off completely. Personally, I prefer a cleansing method that leaves some oil and moisture on my skin after rinsing with water, so I wouldn't recommend using this at night. If you're someone who prioritizes a good makeup base that doesn't pill over intense hydration, this might be worth trying. I used mineral sunscreens for over 5 years, then briefly tried hybrid sunscreens, and now I'm using chemical sunscreens. These days, most moisturizing creams work well with my sunscreen without pilling. I won't repurchase this one though. If you like gel creams, you might also enjoy the Sum37 Water-full line. When skincare doesn't agree with me, I usually get small blemishes around my nose, but I didn't experience that with this product. It performed above average, so I'd give it 3 stars! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 15, 2018
I've been using this for two years now, and even though I know it's not completely free of harmful ingredients, I keep coming back to it. My skin is oily yet prone to dryness, but this leaves it feeling hydrated and smooth. It's a shame it requires a spatula. I wish this came in a tube format as well. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 20, 2017
The texture is great - it has a smooth, silicone-like application. The scent is not bad, and it is both moisturizing and non-greasy. The makeup also applies well after using it. I would not recommend the product for oily skin. The oil seems to break through quickly, making the makeup look messy and greasy. However, I strongly recommend using it as a night cream instead. It has a texture similar to a sleeping pack and is very effective. For dry skin types, it could also work well as a daytime moisturizer before makeup. But for oily skin, it's best to use it only in the evenings. Since I have oily skin, I only use it at night. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 13, 2017
Although it is a bit drying, when applied, it does not feel sticky and has a bursting, moisturizing sensation, which is nice. After application, it fills in the skin's uneven texture like a primer, making the skin feel smoother. So it seems to help makeup apply well. It's not because of the makeup, but even after washing and applying it at night and going to bed, oily blemishes do not appear the next day. I plan to purchase it again. It has a very silky feel and is said to help makeup apply well, so I was worried the ingredients might be bad, so I searched and found that there are about four, but... I still want to buy it. I think it's because of the fragrance and preservatives. Anyway, please take a look. It fills in the uneven texture a bit too dramatically, giving a silky feel, so I was worried it might be a makeup product (like a primer?) rather than a basic skincare product, and it scared me to apply it at night and go to bed. But it seems there are no such ingredients, so I feel relieved. There's nothing special about it. I think it's better to apply it thinly, let it dry a bit, and then apply another layer before going to bed.
