The lather is quite good, and it seems to have decent cleansing effectiveness. The scent is a mix of herbal and citrus notes, giving a refreshing feeling.
ConsIt didn't improve my dry and sensitive scalp at all. In fact, I even had to visit a dermatologist because of scalp issues. While I don't think it was solely because of this product... anyway, if you're expecting some beneficial effects based on its 'for dry & sensitive skin' label, I wouldn't recommend purchasing it.

When purchased online, it offers good ingredients at a reasonable price for the volume. 2. It's suitable for those with dry scalps to manage dryness.
ConsWhile it may work well for some, it didn't suit me. I have a nearly neutral scalp with a history of seborrheic dermatitis, sensitive skin (prone to blemishes with incompatible products), and allergies. I can't use products with many natural extracts or oils. When I use incompatible products, my scalp immediately becomes itchy and I experience hair loss. This time, my scalp really flared up. My face, which had just calmed down, also broke out along with my back and neck. Anyway, here's my review of the product itself: 1. Strong scent It has an intense herbal or cypress water-like fragrance. Even as someone with allergies who doesn't usually notice scents well, I found it quite strong. I thought it was refreshing, but it might be polarizing. 2. Low lather Given the ingredients, I didn't expect much lather. However, it barely lathers even when rubbed by hand. Still, I prefer this to products with harmful ingredients. 3. Sticky feeling It's not exactly oily, but there's a unique stickiness similar to panthenol products. It feels oddly damp and tacky, different from oil-based stickiness. It did make my hair lie flat, which I appreciated as someone with wavy hair. However, touching my hair felt like touching unwashed hair, which was unsatisfying. (This might actually work well for those with very dry hair.) 4. Cleansing power is average As it's not a natural shampoo, its cleansing power isn't low. It seemed about average. 5. Didn't notice any itch relief In my case, I felt a slight itch from the first use, which worsened with continued use. 6. Caused blemishes After about 4 days of use, I developed pimples on my scalp, hairline, eyebrows, and back. From around day 6, I also got breakouts on my neck, chin, and cheeks. 7. Significant hair loss I experienced noticeable shedding of both fine hairs and thick strands. Usually, I lose thin, long hairs first, but with this shampoo, I was losing thick hairs and newly growing short hairs, quite a lot of them.

I appreciate that it's not irritating and doesn't leave my hair feeling overly squeaky clean, which can lead to more dryness.
ConsHowever, it's hard to notice a significant improvement for a dry scalp with just this shampoo alone.

I was surprised by how extensive the Ryo line is. I chose this product because it was advertised as gentle. After using it for a week, I'm quite satisfied. Looking at the ingredients, there are a few to be cautious about, but compared to what I've used before, it's much better. As for the experience, it lathers well and doesn't leave my scalp feeling tight or parched. Overall, it's been a pleasant experience without any blemishes or issues.
ConsThere's not really anything to complain about. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the price. I didn't notice any dramatic changes that would justify the cost, so it might be nice if they could lower the price a bit.

ConsThere's nothing I find disappointing...
TipSince it's for dry hair, it seems perfect for winter use

As someone with a dry scalp, I find most shampoos are for oily hair, leaving my hair stiff and dry, causing excessive hair loss. Since switching to this, I'm really satisfied. There's noticeably less hair fall! My hair doesn't feel dry, so it doesn't break when I brush it. The lather is amazing too! I'll definitely repurchase.
ConsThere wasn't anything particularly bad. If I had to pick one thing, I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily scalps.

But at some point, my scalp started to get itchier, so I heard that a mild shampoo like Ryo Soonhan Shampoo was good and bought it. It definitely itches less now! As we move into fall, my scalp has been getting drier, and dandruff seems to be coming up, but using the mild shampoo has reduced the itchiness and the dandruff has completely disappeared. The hair odor is also definitely gone. This is the best part!! The shampoo doesn't have a strong medicinal herb smell like other oriental herbal shampoos, and the lather comes out well. The shampoo color is also transparent, which looks nice.
ConsThe only downside is that it's not sold in stores, so I have to purchase it online, which is a bit inconvenient.

The gentle feeling is nice, and with just one pre-shampoo, the lather comes out quite nicely. After washing my hair, I feel like my scalp is cleansed, and it's not drying either. I sometimes get red bumps on my scalp, and this shampoo seems to help reduce the itchiness a bit.
ConsThe downside might be the fragrance, though. I don't really pay much attention to shampoo fragrances, but this one has a kind of herbal scent, which isn't the best in my opinion. But it's something I can overlook. Since I have bleached hair, when I rinse out all the lather, my hair feels a bit stiff. But it's fine after using a conditioner. The amount isn't that much, so it might run out quickly for me since my hair is long.
TipIf you want more lather, you can pump about half the amount and do a pre-shampoo just on your scalp, then rinse and shampoo. That way, the lather comes out better. Just like pre-washing clothes helps them clean better, pre-shampooing your hair can help remove excess oil and make the lather more abundant.

Personally, I have relatively thick hair and the thickness is about the same as healthy hair. I have a lot of hair and my hair length reaches my shoulders. After trying this shampoo, I was shocked because I used to think my scalp was itchy and my hair was falling out due to the shampoo, but it turned out my scalp was just dry. But after using this shampoo, my scalp no longer feels itchy. Lately, I don't use conditioner much and just shampoo, and I rinse my hair at least four or five times after shampooing. I personally liked this shampoo. After shampooing, my hair doesn't feel as stiff. It feels like the shampoo rinses out well, and the lather disappears after rinsing it a few times. Some people said the scent is not great, but I think it's a familiar scent, like a body wash with a light, sky-blue-ish fragrance. It's not a scent I particularly love or hate, but it reminds me of something I've smelled before.
ConsThe scent is quite light, not as strong as some perfumed shampoos where you can still smell the fragrance even after washing your hair. It's more like "Oh, I just washed my hair and there's a light scent" kind of level. And the way the lather disappears is different from those perfumed shampoos. With those, you can get a lot of lather from just one pump, and you can play around with the bubbles. But with this one, you need to pump it about 1.5 times to get a similar amount of lather to work with.
TipI see, if you thoroughly wet your scalp and hair with water before applying the shampoo, then even just one pump can create a good amount of lather. That's good to know. Since you have a lot of other shampoos at home, you may want to wait until you run out of those before purchasing this one. It's understandable to have a lot of shampoo options at home.
