After finishing my VDL sunscreen, I started using the Espoir sunscreen I had at home. It's pretty decent overall. Compared to VDL, it leaves a more noticeable white cast and has an overpowering cosmetic scent. I probably won't repurchase it... The Espoir sunscreen seems to work adequately, but it falls short in some areas compared to the VDL one. The more pronounced white cast could affect the complexion, potentially interfering with makeup application or leaving an unnatural finish. The strong fragrance might be off-putting for those with sensitive skin or who prefer fragrance-free products. While it's usable, these drawbacks make it less appealing for long-term use. - ey*****Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedDec 21, 2024
I tried a sample of Fresh along with the Ceramide version. The sample is on the left side of my hand. They say it's been renewed with ceramides, but it's slightly thinner than the Ceramide one. It's packed with hydration and definitely gives a noticeable glow. For oily skin, it's too rich. If you have oily skin, let's stick with Fresh... - 3d********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 4, 2024
It's so hydrating that makeup applies beautifully! I always repurchase this during seasonal changes. In summer, it feels a bit greasy so I stop using it. When I start using it again, I feel like some blemishes might appear. - dd****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 17, 2024
1. Ingredients This sunscreen boasts six plant extracts beneficial for the skin: Centella Asiatica extract, Lavender extract, Chamomile flower extract, Marshmallow root extract, Lemon verbena leaf extract, and Aloe vera leaf extract. 2. Application It's incredibly hydrating and lightweight, packed with moisture that gives a soft, smooth feel. It absorbs quickly along the skin's texture. The formula is slightly more dense and cohesive compared to typical sunscreens, providing a firmer adherence and fit to the skin. 3. User Experience When applied before foundation, the Espoir Water Splash Sun Cream Ceramide helps refine skin texture, allowing makeup to adhere well without pilling or sliding off. I really appreciated its mild, gentle moisturizing effect that kept my skin comfortable without any deep dryness. It does provide some coverage, which might not be to everyone's liking. - he******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 10, 2024
The brightening moisturizer gives a really natural look and slightly covers blemishes, which I love. The fluid texture makes it feel lightweight, which I appreciate. When used with makeup, it tends to pill a bit, which is a downside. For everyday use, though, it's pretty decent. - js******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 10, 2024
As someone with combination dehydrated skin that leans more oily in summer and drier in winter, I love how moisturizing this product is. When applied before makeup, its unique glitter gives my skin a beautiful glow and sparkle. It's fantastic! There's a bit of shine, so if you're not a fan of that, you might need to follow up with some powder. - lj*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsSep 5, 2024
It brightens my complexion and applies smoothly. The sun protection seems great for water activities too! It's extremely greasy and oily, causing my hair to stick to my face excessively. - ye*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 31, 2024
A sunscreen I enjoyed using because it's hydrating and makes makeup apply smoothly However, I found out the ingredients aren't great, though it was fine for me - 23*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 29, 2024
I loved how it provided just the right amount of brightening even on bare skin, making my complexion look great. For oily skin types, it might be a bit rich, which caused some shine. - pa*************Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresJul 25, 2024
Espoir Water Splash Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA+++ Sun Protection: With its PA+++ rating, there's a noticeable difference between wearing it and not. On days I apply it, I definitely feel like my skin's heat sensitivity is reduced. Texture and Application: It has an emulsion-like consistency. Initially, it spreads thinly, but gradually starts to form small beads as it adheres to the skin. It seems to absorb even better on dry skin! After applying oily serums or slippery essences, the sunscreen might feel like it's sitting on top, creating a coating effect. Brightening Effect: I bought this sunscreen because it's known for its brightening effect, but it wasn't as pretty as I expected. Right after application, there's a slight brightening effect, but over time it develops a grayish tint. As time passes, the white cast fades, revealing the product's unique grayish tone. Longevity: As time goes on, it becomes quite rich. This sunscreen sits somewhere between a dewy glow and an oily finish. I purchased this hoping to use it for brightening without foundation, but it's a bit disappointing in terms of both its brightening effect and richness. It works well as a color-correcting base and sunscreen before foundation. Due to the sunscreen's rich texture, it pairs better with a matte cushion foundation rather than a dewy one.
