While it might be a bit dry for those with very dry skin, it's fantastic when applied over a solid skincare base... After trying many others, I find myself coming back to Ink Lasting. It tends to be on the drier side for those with dry skin, especially when used alone in winter. You really need to prep your skin well with a good moisturizing routine. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 11, 2022
The staying power and coverage are fantastic! Highly recommended for those who prefer a matte finish. I'd recommend this for oily skin types. If you have dry skin, you'll need to apply a ton of moisturizer before using this product. Especially in winter, it looks nice when first applied, but as time passes, it causes deep dryness and starts to separate. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 15, 2022
I have dry skin with an oily T-zone, and I've been using this for years! It applies thinly and evenly. Since I have fair skin, it's usually hard to find a foundation that matches my complexion, but this light pink tone works great for me. It might be because I have dry skin, but after a while, it tends to crack a lot. And when it breaks down, it doesn't look pretty - it becomes patchy and uneven. Instead of using the foundation alone, it works much better when mixed in a 1:1 ratio with a hydrating brightening moisturizer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 26, 2022
It brightens my complexion, provides great coverage, and absorbs well into the skin Due to dryness, it tends to flake around the nose and cheeks, so a good skincare routine is essential - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinMar 26, 2022
It applies evenly and gives a nice matte finish! It also does a great job evening out my complexion and provides a slight redness-reducing effect! It's a bit drying, unfortunately. Even after thorough skincare, it still feels dry. I applied it with an unused cushion puff, which might be part of the issue, but I think matte formulas just don't suit me well, so I don't reach for it often. I think it would work better if used with a product that can provide some extra hydration, like a damp sponge! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 25, 2022
I've used this for years with great results, but recently my skin became sensitive and prone to breakouts, so I can't use it anymore. Such a shame! The coverage is excellent though. It can be a bit drying. If you don't prep your skin properly, it sometimes accentuates dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMar 19, 2022
The coverage is excellent, even concealing redness! It doesn't break down significantly throughout the day. It can be a bit drying, so you'll need to make sure your skin is well-hydrated during your skincare routine. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinFeb 12, 2022
This foundation is far superior to department store brands. I own several foundations and choose based on my mood, but I'm already on my third bottle of Ink Lasting. The color, adherence, and longevity are perfect. Whenever I wear it, people always ask what foundation I'm using. It barely transfers onto masks and stays put even when wearing one. It might feel slightly dry in winter, so you need to ensure your skincare routine is more thorough. Mixing it with a bit of Ink Lasting Glow makes it ideal for winter use. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 26, 2022
I tried my friend's foundation once and loved it so much that I bought my first one...! This product introduced me to the world of foundation, and I think it's great for beginners like me too! The staying power and coverage weren't bad at all, and I loved how it left my skin feeling soft and matte after application. It didn't break down easily either, so I used up the whole bottle and repurchased another one~ In winter, it did get a bit dry and patchy in some areas... So I bought the same product but in a more hydrating version to use specifically during winter! Also, it did transfer a bit onto my mask. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 18, 2021
My skin type is thin with fine lines, very dry, and acne scars. This foundation is affordable and has better coverage than the VDL one I used before. I bought this foundation because many reviews said The Face Shop foundation was better than VDL, which I used before and found too dark. But why is it so drying? Even YouTube comparisons said VDL was more powdery and matte, while The Face Shop's applied smoothly and moisturizing. I tried it on my hand and face, but The Face Shop's sets much faster and feels drier. Am I doing something wrong? Also, because it's more matte, it accentuates the fine lines on my thin skin. It seems thicker and harder to apply than VDL. Any tips for application?
