No dryness after cleansing. I think I've found a great product since using Botanic Hill Bo. My mom and I are totally hooked on the balm type these days.
ConsThe scent is really off-putting, it smells like bubble gum which I don't like. Also, it's inconvenient to have to twist the container to open it. I wish it was a one-touch opening.
TipIt removes even heavy-duty waterproof makeup effectively. It cleanses well no matter how you use it. You might feel like there's some residue after washing, but use a cleansing puff with it. It's truly a hydrating product.

This is Yun-kyung Lee writing. Today's post contains some really important information! (It's about cleansing) Apparently, this product ranked 3rd in the Cleansing/Emulsion category at the 2019 Hwahae Beauty Awards. Warning: Hostile comments will be deleted. No criticism allowed. Gentle pH vs. Strong Cleansing Power I personally prefer gentle, low pH products. However, cleansing power is also important. So I've tried various options. Cleansing waters tend to be too drying and only clean the surface, in my experience. To avoid wasting them, I now use cleansing water just for light daily makeup on less sensitive areas, not my forehead. For days with mascara, I use cleansing oil. My dermatologist actually recommended this product to me. When I mentioned using cleansing water, they said it only cleans the surface, doesn't cleanse deeply, and is very drying. They suggested a cleansing balm instead. While cleansing waters are said to have the strongest cleansing power, cleansing balms are gentler on the skin and cleanse more thoroughly. Since I didn't want to waste my cleansing water, I now use it as a lip and eye makeup remover on light makeup days. I learned about this product through TV and recommendations. Apparently even celebrities use this! Gentle pH + Strong Cleansing = Banila Co Cleansing Balm Critical comments will be deleted. Cleansing Water vs. Cleansing Oil vs. Cleansing Balm For dry skin, cleansing balms work best. Cleansing oils can cause breakouts if not used properly. Cleansing waters feel like they only clean the surface. They really do just clean superficially. If you use a cleansing device with a cotton pad after, you'll see leftover makeup residue. You need to double cleanse and exfoliate as needed. That's why I switched to using a cleansing balm. Cleansing waters are also expensive with the cotton pad costs, and a hassle to use. You need to use high-quality cotton pads that touch your skin, which can cost around 3,000 won for 80 pads. Using cheap cotton pads can cause breakouts, you know? With cleansing water, it seems like there's always residue no matter how much you wipe. I hope this explanation helps! (To the inquirer) These days it's all about all-in-one products, so switching is a good idea. Cleansing balms are Convenient and easy to use. Cleansing Power Cleanses well despite being a balm. Can be adjusted for daily or heavy makeup. 💜Did you know you need to double cleanse even with just sunscreen? Now you can cleanse easily with this all-in-one product💜 2. Irritation Works well for my sensitive, dry skin. So gentle it can be called non-irritating. 3. Texture Sherbet-like balm texture. Magically transforms into an oil when it touches water. 4. Blemishes/Acne/Bumps I tend to break out from base makeup, and careless cleansing can clog pores and cause acne. This product is effective for acne care since you scoop it out with a spatula, so it doesn't just clean the surface. 5. Dry Skin Various types available for different skin types. 💜Suitable for all skin types💜 6. Scent Almost unscented, just a pleasant smell! 7. Hydration Leaves skin feeling hydrated after cleansing. I have dry skin but use the original version, and it still leaves my skin feeling moisturized. 8. Sebum Cleanses pores thoroughly. 9. Oiliness Although it's a balm, it doesn't feel greasy at all! 10. Residue Doesn't feel like it only cleans the surface. Removes makeup residue thoroughly. 11. Squeaky Clean Feel Cleanses gently without that tight, squeaky feeling. 12. Impurities Removes impurities well. One cause of acne is impurities clogging pores. Good cleansing and exfoliation can help reduce this. Exfoliating areas without acne can improve those tiny bumps. 😃Overall Opinion😃 Banila Co Cleansing Balm is safe for sensitive skin and cleanses effectively yet gently. With various types available, it's suitable for all skin types. Banila Co Cleansing Balm Series: Sensitive Skin / Purifying All Skin Types / Original Combination-Oily / Revitalizing Dry Skin / Nourishing (Use according to your skin type) I have dry skin but use the Original. Next time I plan to try the Purifying version for sensitive skin✨ How to Use: Remove lip and eye makeup with remover Scoop out an appropriate amount of cleansing balm Gently massage, mixing with water Follow with cleansing foam Effects: Thoroughly removes makeup Gentle on skin Why Acne Occurs: Small bumps: Caused by clogged pores. Managing impurities is important to prevent this! When applying skincare or acne medication, pat it on gently. Rubbing can spread acne-causing bacteria if your skin barrier is compromised. 🍀Photo Guide🍀 First photo: Before makeup removal Second and third photos: Forehead area after cleansing (where I get the most acne)
ConsI discarded the inner plastic packaging since it was double-packaged. 1. The double packaging is inconvenient It's a bit annoying having to open and close it every time I cleanse! 2. Scent There's no particular fragrance. There is a scent, but it's hard to describe... 3. Oil texture It's a shame the cleansing balm turns into an oil. Oil doesn't really agree with my skin, so that's unfortunate. But I didn't break out from using this. 4. Amount control There are instructions on how much to use, but I'm still not sure exactly how much I should be using. Other than that, I have no complaints!
Tip🧼 When cleansing, the balm transforms into an oil texture. Mixing it with water as you cleanse will help you achieve a more thorough cleanse. 🧼 It's essential to gently cleanse even after applying sunscreen. The first cleanse is a must. Here's what we mean by first and second cleanse: First cleanse: Using cleansing products like balms, oils, or waters to remove makeup and sunscreen Second cleanse: Washing your face with a cleanser The Banila Co cleansing balm has a sherbet-like texture that's so easy to use. 🍒Pro tip🍒 ⭐️Scoop out an appropriate amount with the spatula, warm it up between your clean hands, then apply it to your skin. Mixing it with water as you massage will help you cleanse more thoroughly. Banila Co Cleansing Balm features: Balm▶️Oil 💧- When it touches water The biggest advantage of the Banila Co cleansing balm is that the balm texture transforms into an oil when it comes into contact with water on your skin. That's why it's crucial to mix it with water as you cleanse. (Important) Here are a few tips for choosing a cleansing balm: 1. Check if it suits your skin type Make sure to verify if it's for dry or oily skin. 2. Ingredients While all-green grade ingredients are ideal, it's best to avoid products with many harmful ingredients. When choosing a cleansing product! Check the price (since you'll use it frequently)
