ConsThe lather isn't as rich as I'd like, producing only fine bubbles You need to use a bubble maker for better results

When you add a bit of water and gently massage, it forms a lather that effectively removes impurities. Isn't this just an incredible value?! I loved that I could use it as both a mud pack and cleanser at the same time. It's perfect for those days when you feel grimy after being out all day, with sweat and oil build-up. The texture is exactly like those thick mud packs that really grip the skin and tighten pores. It's so rich that you need to give the tube a good squeeze to get the product out, which means it comes out slowly. After about a minute, it really sticks to the skin like a mask, and you can feel it tightening. It sets completely. Then, when you add water and massage, it transforms into a cleansing foam like magic! It's super convenient not having to use separate products. The deep cleansing action left my skin feeling squeaky clean. Plus, it's less of a burden since you don't need to buy two separate products!
ConsThe lather wasn't particularly rich or abundant. Nevertheless, it still gave that squeaky clean feeling deep in the pores.

I've only used the sample for a short time, but the experience was pleasant. Fragrance: Almost none. Cleansing: When used as a second step after cleansing oil, it removes most makeup. However, those with delicate and super sensitive skin might find daily use a bit harsh.
ConsThe foam isn't particularly rich or abundant. Also, the price is a bit disappointing.
TipRather than using it morning and night, I think it's better for your skin to use it once a day or 3-4 times a week to avoid irritation.

First off, I found it refreshing that this product can be used both as a foam cleanser and a mask. I mainly used it for my morning cleanse. The scent is so subtle it's almost unscented, making it suitable for everyone without any strong opinions either way. When I tested it on my hands, it left a moisturizing feeling, like a protective barrier on the back of my hand. On my face, while not as intense as on my hands, it still maintained a decent level of hydration, which I was satisfied with. After cleansing, my face temporarily brightened, giving me a clear complexion which I loved! It's not irritating, so I think it's great for morning cleansing.
ConsWhen using it as a mask, I expected it to have richer foam since it also cleanses, but it only foamed about as much as a clay mask, which was disappointing. Personally, I found it disappointing that the application felt more like a clay mask than a foam cleanser. The granules are so small that they dissolve completely when lathering, so I'm not sure how much they help with pore care. Also, the product description on the back claims it helps soothe the skin, but I haven't noticed any significant changes or soothing effects yet. However, I've only been using it for less than two weeks, so it's hard to tell. It's just okay for everyday use!!!

I used this product for about 7 days. I applied it as a mask over my entire face twice during the week, and on other days, I used it as a regular cleansing foam. When looking at the texture of the cleansing foam, you can see rice granules. However, these weren't noticeable when applied to the skin. Advantages: 1. Blemishes gradually disappeared. 2. The skin-brightening effect is absolutely top-notch! 3. Leaves skin hydrated. 4. Skin becomes smoother. 5. Almost no scent. Overall impression: Recommended for those with dry or super sensitive skin looking for a hydrating cleansing foam that makes skin look clear and clean! The scent is barely noticeable - maybe a slight rice powder smell? With consistent use, I noticed that the multiple blemishes I had on my face at the start gradually subsided, resulting in smooth skin. It seems effective for blemishes. Those with sensitive skin should be able to use it with confidence. The most noticeable effect was the immediate brightening of the skin after use. Rice is said to have whitening effects, and it really seems to work. After cleansing, my skin felt nicely hydrated. This foam cleanser causes almost no tightness, so it's recommended for those with dry skin.
ConsDisadvantages: 1. For those with dry skin, it's recommended to use it as a cleansing foam rather than a mask. 2. The foam isn't as rich as expected. 3. The most disappointing aspect is that it has almost no effect on removing pore sebum. 4. Some people may feel a tingling sensation when first using it. (This occurred on areas where acne had previously healed. It didn't sting on other acne spots.) Overall impression: Doesn't manage pores well - you're better off using an oil cleanser. If you're looking for rich, creamy foam, look for a different product. The pore and sebum care mentioned in the product description isn't very effective. I usually double cleanse my nose area for blackheads, first with an oil cleanser and then with a foam cleanser. When I only used this rice foam pack, I didn't see any effect on removing blackheads from my pores. This aspect was quite disappointing. When used as a mask, it felt a bit tight on the skin. Also, the foam wasn't as creamy and dense as expected, but rather light and fluffy. On the first day, when I applied the rice foam pack all over my face, I felt a tingling sensation on my cheeks. However, I didn't experience any irritation after that.
TipIf you want to manage your pores as well, the only tip I can suggest is to use a pore brush while cleansing to help remove sebum.

Product Fragrance Although there's no fragrance listed in the ingredients, I noticed a very subtle rubber-like scent. After seeing 'clay' in the English product name, I realized it was the characteristic clay aroma. As this was my first time using a rice-based product, I thought there might be a subtle rice-related scent, but it actually smelled more like a wash-off mud mask. Considering this product also has clay properties, this mild clay scent is quite acceptable. 2. As a Cleanser I'll address this in the 'Drawbacks' section. 3. As a Mask When used as a mask, it becomes a completely different product. While it's unfortunate there's no explanation for why it can be washed off after just 1-2 minutes instead of the usual 10-20 minutes for regular masks, the results are noticeable. After use, my skin feels about 5-10% brighter. It seems to effectively manage pores and leaves my skin texture smooth. However, if you use the amount you'd typically use for cleansing, it takes quite a while to wash off. For mask use, it's better to apply a thin layer. 4. Would I Recommend This to Men? For a typical man in his 30s like myself, I'd emphasize its clay mask properties. For men who aren't particular about whether their foam is squeaky clean or moisturizing, you could emphasize either the rice cleanser or clay mask aspects. But for men used to that squeaky-clean feel from male foam cleansers, it might be more effective to highlight its versatility as a clay mask. In that sense, I thought it might have been good to include 'clay' in the Korean product name too, but then again, that might have made the name too long.
Cons2. As a Cleanser The foam wasn't as dense as products like Perfect Whip. It wasn't particularly rich either. It feels like a standard foam cleanser - not thick or abundant, but just average. After washing and drying, my skin feels moderately squeaky clean, but that's about it. It does feel gentle when cleansing, which is good. However, effects like brightening or skin texture improvement from the rice ingredients might need longer than the two-week Hwahae Testers period to evaluate properly. After 1-2 weeks of use, it feels like a very ordinary foam cleanser, which is somewhat disappointing given the 'Ganghwa Godoung Rice' in its name. Perhaps I had unrealistic expectations because it's my first time using a rice-based cleanser? I wonder if the 'clay' mentioned in the English product name, which is quite high up in the ingredients list despite not being in the Korean name, might be overshadowing too many other aspects of the product.
TipApply a thin layer when using as a mask.
