This is currently my holy grail product, and I'm on my fourth bottle... My skin used to be combination with a slightly rough texture, prone to blemishes, and difficult to balance in terms of oil and moisture. But since discovering Red Algae, my skin has become smoother, and I rarely get blemishes anymore! It's truly more effective than ten other cosmetics combined and keeps my skin healthy! Despite its simple water-like texture with a slight slip, it makes my skin feel elastic and healthy on contact. In the evening, just this product plus a cream is enough to make my skin firm by the next day. When applied before makeup, it's perfect - no worries about pilling, excess oil, or dryness. I highly recommend this to anyone who dislikes heavy products on their face! It's also great for blemish-prone skin. I've only used this essence from the line without trying other products, but it's so effective on its own that I keep repurchasing it. The generous amount allows for liberal application, which I love. While there's really nothing to complain about, this product alone might feel slightly insufficient in winter. Nevertheless, I use it year-round! It's best to apply immediately after cleansing. Applying twice rather than once gives a more skin-plumping effect. You don't need to pat it in for long, but the longer you do, the firmer your skin will feel. You'll notice changes in your skin right away when you use it morning and night. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 19, 2020
It has a silky smooth toner feel! Since it suited my skin well, I applied it separately after my exfoliating toner. Unlike when I applied other products, this one made my skin feel incredibly soft and smooth! I think it might vary depending on skin type. My boyfriend mentioned it didn't work well for him..! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSep 25, 2020
The scent is barely noticeable, very subtle. The liquid is a slightly slippery red fluid. Its consistency is on the thinner side. From the perspective of my oily complexion, I'd say it's right in the middle. It's not too rich, nor is it a toner focused on oil control. So, after applying this, you could follow up with a light emulsion or hydrating product with low oil content. For those with oily skin, it might feel a bit neither here nor there. It doesn't really control excess sebum, and seems to lean more towards skin soothing. The price point is also in that middle ground - neither particularly expensive nor cheap... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 2, 2020
I've been using this for over a month now, and I'm generally quite satisfied. It has a slightly reddish tint, and the texture isn't completely watery like Missha's Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence. Instead, it has a very slight viscosity. It feels silky smooth to the touch. When applied, it leaves the skin feeling moisturized and smooth, almost as if it's been lightly coated. If you found the original The First Treatment Essence absorbed too quickly and left your skin feeling dry, you might prefer the Red Algae Treatment. I have combination skin, and I use both The First and the Red Algae treatments effectively, each in its own way. While they're both treatment essences, they feel quite different. The Red Algae version feels a bit more nourishing. There are no concerning ingredients, so I intend to keep purchasing and using it in the future. So far, I haven't found anything particularly disappointing about this product.
