As a first essence after cleansing, it felt wonderfully hydrating and I really loved it! I had no idea this product was discontinued. It's such a shame it's no longer available! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJul 10, 2022
It's a hydrating toner. There's a slight tackiness, but it's moisturizing, which is great for replenishing hydration. It's decent but doesn't have any standout features. I use it, but I prefer watery toners. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 31, 2021
It absorbs quickly when applied as the first step in your skincare routine, leaving your skin feeling hydrated and moisturized. The fragrance-free formula is great for those with sensitive noses. I also love that it comes in a glass bottle. It would have been more convenient if it had a pump dispenser. Other than that, I have no complaints - it's a great product. This essence seems perfect for a DIY skin pack using cotton pads on dry days, giving your skin that extra boost of hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinApr 12, 2021
The scent is pleasantly different from what I initially expected when I bought it. I'm using it alternating with P:rem, either morning and evening or every other day. While P:rem provides a light skin-evening effect, this one absorbs with a deeply hydrating feel. One minor drawback is that it doesn't absorb instantly, so you need to wait a bit after evening out your skin tone before moving to the next step. However, it's not a significant issue that would bother you too much. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 3, 2021
It's moisturizing and absorbs well. As someone with super sensitive skin, I really appreciated that it wasn't irritating. Other products often made my skin itchy or caused a tingling sensation, making me hesitant to use them. But with this essence, I don't experience any of those issues. It's become a habit to use it as the first step in my skincare routine right after cleansing. It's not so much that I found it disappointing, but those expecting a typical serum might be let down. I have a separate serum that I use, and I'm using this more as a toner. The texture feels less like a serum and more watery, almost identical to a toner rather than the usual serums I use. I find that just applying it once isn't quite enough, so I pat it in twice to help it absorb. When I do this, I feel like the hydration lasts longer! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 2, 2021
For oily, sensitive, and redness-prone skin First off, it's incredibly hydrating. This toner feels more like an essence, it's that moisturizing! The color is beautiful - it's red, reminds me of omija tea. The ingredients are excellent. Even though my skin was acting up, I didn't experience any tingling sensation at all. It's a bit sticky. I think this is the first time I've encountered a sticky toner. But I guess it's because it's more like an essence. The bottle... haha, it looks like my dad's old-school toner bottle! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 31, 2021
Compared to its cousin, the mugwort essence line, this one has a thicker consistency and feels more hydrating. I really love the ingredients, and it absorbs well without being sticky. There's nothing bad to say! The bottle color is beautiful and looks luxurious. I hope they don't discontinue it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 25, 2020
I've been using Missha cosmetics since before they had physical stores, but recently I've been buying skincare mainly from Hwahae Shopping, which led me to explore various brands. I was curious about the red essence, so I decided to give it a try. Although I haven't been using it for long, I'm impressed. The essence is a transparent liquid with a reddish tint. It feels wonderfully hydrating on the skin. It has a slight viscosity, but absorbs well into the skin, leaving it feeling fresh. I thought it would be watery, but the slight thickness actually makes it feel somewhat nourishing. There are no harmful ingredients, and so far, I haven't found anything to complain about. It's great to use as a mist if you transfer it to a spray bottle! - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 8, 2020
I love that it doesn't contain any harmful ingredients for the skin. When applied, it feels moisturizing without being sticky. There's absolutely no sense of heaviness or pilling. I plan to use it consistently. For those with dry skin, I recommend applying it two or three times. Since it's good for your skin, it seems fine to apply multiple times. I appreciate that it doesn't cause any blemishes. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinDec 8, 2020
I had only tried Missha's First Treatment Essence (the white bottle) before, but I was curious about this one. When I saw it on sale at a great price on the Nunc app, I decided to give it a try! This product works best when you pat it onto your face after dispensing it into your hands! It's thicker than a watery toner, but not as viscous as an essence. I'm not a fan of runny essences, and watery toners have their limits in terms of hydration, so I was on the lookout for something in between when I found this~ When applied to the face, it instantly hydrates the skin and really improves skin texture! This product isn't suitable as an exfoliating toner. Using it as a skin pack was just okay too~ Make sure to dispense the essence into your palms and gently press it into your face!
