I have combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes and super sensitive skin, but I didn't have any issues using this. It's the only setting spray that actually fixed my makeup... and it's not too matte either. I almost didn't buy it because of reviews mentioning the smell, but with masks making my makeup disappear instantly, I was too stressed and decided to try it. I don't usually do elaborate makeup, just applying cushion foundation twice. But with masks, it was impossible to keep it in place. I tried the famous pink bottle from So Natural? in every way possible, but it was useless for me... And about the scent, it seems to be a matter of preference. I really disliked the strong baby powder scent of that pink bottle. The Urban Decay scent was much better in comparison...
ConsThe smell is definitely the downside! Personally, I don't find it overpowering, but it would be better if you could hold your breath for a few seconds when applying. I read a lot of reviews mentioning a camel spit smell and people saying they couldn't use it indoors, but honestly, it's not that bad. Maybe the annoyance of makeup coming off outweighs the smell issue for me! Also, while it's much better than my previous setting spray, it seems impossible to completely prevent makeup from coming off when wearing a mask... Still, I guess there's a reason why it's popular.
TipFor best results with cushion foundation, I apply a thin layer first, do my eyebrows, then spray once all over and let it dry. I then pat the remaining product with the puff. After finishing the rest of my makeup, I spray again and let it dry. Spraying about twice in total works well, and it's particularly effective to pat the remaining setting spray into the skin with a puff and let it dry thoroughly.
