The marks tend to linger, and I have extremely oily skin with excessive sebum production. My skin is also super sensitive... I bought this to keep my makeup from melting off in the summer heat. Using the Urban Decay setting spray definitely helps my makeup stay put and seems to control oil production better. The mist feels refreshing when you spray it on. I usually apply it 3-4 times on my face during summer. I was worried about breakouts, but I haven't had any issues, so I'm using it with peace of mind. While it's pricey for the amount you get, it's worth every penny! I can see why everyone recommends it. When using the setting spray, I shake it well and mist my face 2-3 times. It dries in just a minute. It absorbs well, making it great even for summer use.
ConsThe unique scent is a bit off-putting, almost like saliva. If you're sensitive to fragrances, I'd recommend trying a different product. Also, the spray nozzle doesn't work very well, so if a good mist is important to you, I wouldn't recommend this.
TipFor long-lasting makeup, try this routine: skincare, setting spray, sunscreen, foundation, setting spray, powder, and finish with another layer of setting spray.

It contains white powder, so when you shake it and spray, it can transform even a dewy cushion into a semi-matte finish. As time passes, it controls oil better than regular fixers. The powder content seems to give a soft, luminous effect, making the skin look beautiful. The staying power is great too!
ConsIf you don't shake it well enough, or shake it too vigorously and spray, it can create foam and won't dispense evenly. There were even times when it left white marks on dark clothes. It also left white residue on hair like dandruff, which was hard to wipe off. This caused several awkward moments. You really need to master the technique of mixing the settled powder evenly without creating bubbles.
TipDon't shake it up and down vigorously. Instead, hold it with both hands and mix it by rotating the fixer, like you're mixing formula. Then, spray once or twice in the air (to remove any excess liquid and powder from the nozzle) before applying. This way, you can protect your clothes and hair.
