When I used other makeup fixers, I felt the staying power was lacking. But with this product, my makeup barely budged at all! I think I've found my holy grail fixer (it's no secret I've already gone through 2 bottles). Every time I use it, I notice a strange smell, almost like saliva, which makes it difficult to spray. It's quite off-putting. For best results, don't spray too close to your face. Keep some distance when applying to help set your makeup more effectively. Be careful not to overspray, as it may dry out your skin. - su*****Dry SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedJun 27, 2025
The spray power is excellent, and it definitely seems to make my makeup last longer when I use it. It has a somewhat strong, peculiar scent. When spraying the fixer, it feels a bit heavy, like it's pressing down on my skin. - rl**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 2, 2025
Skin condition: I'm dealing with redness, acne, and blemishes all at once. The marks tend to linger, and I have extremely oily skin with excessive sebum production. My skin is also super sensitive... I bought this to keep my makeup from melting off in the summer heat. Using the Urban Decay setting spray definitely helps my makeup stay put and seems to control oil production better. The mist feels refreshing when you spray it on. I usually apply it 3-4 times on my face during summer. I was worried about breakouts, but I haven't had any issues, so I'm using it with peace of mind. While it's pricey for the amount you get, it's worth every penny! I can see why everyone recommends it. When using the setting spray, I shake it well and mist my face 2-3 times. It dries in just a minute. It absorbs well, making it great even for summer use. The unique scent is a bit off-putting, almost like saliva. If you're sensitive to fragrances, I'd recommend trying a different product. Also, the spray nozzle doesn't work very well, so if a good mist is important to you, I wouldn't recommend this. For long-lasting makeup, try this routine: skincare, setting spray, sunscreen, foundation, setting spray, powder, and finish with another layer of setting spray. - dk*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 1, 2025
The makeup setting power is absolutely fantastic! I spray it once after applying sunscreen and once again after completing my makeup. It makes my base last incredibly long, and even helps hold my blush in place, noticeably slowing down color fade. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I didn't experience any dryness when using this fixer after my usual skincare routine. I'm confident this will be my go-to product all summer long! Hmm, I can't think of any real downsides. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the price? The price is truly wicked. For maximum staying power, spray once after sunscreen and once after finishing your makeup - that's twice in total! - sq********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresMay 26, 2025
Compared to other setting sprays, I don't see any standout features. While the scent isn't too overpowering, I'm not sure about its staying power. For this price, you'd be better off buying a different setting spray. The spray nozzle is terrible - it's like someone's spitting on your face! If you're looking for a reliable setting spray, you might want to explore other options that offer better value for money and a more pleasant application experience. - wh**********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 25, 2025
As befits its renowned reputation, this product offers good staying power. Plus, you get a generous amount that lasts quite a while! If you apply it too thickly, it can sometimes pill when you touch your face later, almost like dead skin cells coming off. This makes me hesitate to really lock it in place. Also, I suspect those with dry skin might feel increasing dryness over time. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I noticed some areas feeling tight and dry. To combat this, try layering multiple applications of a lightweight, hydrating product in your skincare routine to really boost your skin's moisture barrier. Then follow up with a setting spray. This should help reduce that dry feeling! - qx********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedMay 18, 2025
This applies well and lasts longer when you spray it and then do your makeup. You also don't need to do much touch-up, which is great. I'm not sure why, but it seems like using this product has caused some blemishes on my face, and the smell is not very pleasant. Applying it with a cushion puff helps the makeup stay in place well. - zn********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedMay 18, 2025
Acne-prone skin doesn't seem to have any major breakouts. However, no matter what I apply or do, everything just falls apart and my makeup melts off - I'm an extremely oily person. But when I use this product, the longevity is definitely improved, so I like it. The smell is not exactly pleasant, but to be honest, it doesn't really bother me that much. When spraying, if you try to spray just a little bit by pressing the area less, the fixative will clump up and come out, and it will harden as is. So when you spray, you should just press down firmly and spray. - al********RecommendedMay 15, 2025
Actually, I didn't even have time to retouch my makeup during the school trip, but the makeup I did the previous morning in the morning held up well without crumbling until the next day's dawn! Many people were concerned about the fixative's scent, but to be honest, I'm not sure about it, and I thought it was unscented..? There are really no disappointing points. I wish it were a little cheaper, though. It's not just a matter of applying makeup once at the end, but rather building up layers of it. You start with the base, then apply it once more after skin makeup, again after powder application, and one final time when you're all done. This layered approach helps the makeup stay on from morning till night without fading. - la*******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 13, 2025
It adheres well to the skin, resulting in great staying power. It's particularly suitable for use during the summer months. If you have dry skin, it might pill, so it's important to apply a good base of skincare products first. For best results, apply it in thin layers, building up the coverage gradually as you do your makeup.
