Color: A truly beautiful brick red. It's a shade that perfectly complements autumn warm skin tones. Application: Being a mousse formula, it applies smoothly and effortlessly! Packaging: Every time I look at Lilybyred's tint packaging, I find it so cute and adorable. Whoever designed it deserves an award... Scent: The fragrance was the least appealing among all the Lilybyred tints I've used so far. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be fig-scented or what, but it smells like a mix of spoiled yogurt and fruit... Anyway, it has a strange odor. If it weren't for the smell, this would have been a 5-star product. Such a shame... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 21, 2021
The muted, toned-down color is perfect for wearing anytime, anywhere without being too flashy. I apply it lightly rather than heavily, and it looks beautiful on its own or as a base layer for other makeup. The scent is a bit ambiguous. It's somewhat yogurt-like, but if you dislike artificial fragrances, you might not enjoy it. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 20, 2021
Color: The shade is pretty! There's a nice difference between applying it heavily versus lightly, which makes it great for creating gradients! I deliberately didn't include a photo of it on my lips as it might be misleading - the camera doesn't capture the true color well. Let me know if you'd like to see a photo and I can add one! Staining power: It's impressive! Even after applying it and wiping vigorously with a wet wipe after about a minute, a lot of color remains. Check out the photo below for reference! Scent: The smell is quite strong... It's like spoiled yogurt. As soon as I smelled it, I was put off. Ugh... Highlights dead skin cells: It really accentuates any flakiness on the lips. I try using a lot of lip balm before applying, but then it mixes with the balm and the color becomes strange. Even though I spent about $10 on this, I never reach for it. Dryness: Similar to the above point, it's so drying that if you apply lip balm first, it mixes and changes the color. This might be okay to use only when your lips are in really good condition. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinFeb 3, 2021
This product is perfect for warm-toned folks like me! I'm not usually a fan of tints, but this one is amazing - almost like a lipstick. Most tints aren't solid, which can be problematic for those of us with dry, flaky lips. However, this one doesn't absorb as much and the color is absolutely gorgeous. It's hands down my favorite tint so far! I think this shade would suit cool-toned people too, so there's not much to complain about. Oh, one thing though - the scent... It's like coconut, or maybe something that might make you a bit queasy. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be fig-scented or what, but I'm definitely not a fan of the fragrance! As I mentioned earlier, for those of you with less-than-perfect lips like mine, I recommend applying a tiny bit of lip balm before the tint. It works wonders! Just remember, go easy on the lip balm - a little goes a long way! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 8, 2020
The color is absolutely gorgeous! While it might be slightly different from the official website photos, it has its own unique charm. It's like a deep red with a hint of brown? When you dab it on, it looks stunning. The texture is moisturizing when applied, but sets to a velvety finish. If you blot with a tissue after application, there's minimal transfer. I wear masks often, and it's never stained them. The absorbs well is pretty good too! First off, the scent is a bit... off-putting. It's like an artificial grape gummy candy smell, which feels too synthetic. Also, while it applies fine on healthy lips initially, when you reapply later outdoors, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells and fine lines a bit. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 11, 2020
The color payoff is impressive and it stays on well, which I really appreciated. The scent is a bit overwhelming... It's like a mix of yogurt and chocolate. While you might get used to it over time, it's still a fragrance that can be off-putting. It's a versatile red shade that should suit most people! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 17, 2020
Pigmentation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: The color payoff is incredible. Just one swipe gives you a rich, intense color. Be careful though - the applicator initially comes out with a lot of product! Color ⭐️⭐️⭐️: I initially swatched this at Olive Young and thought it was a toned-down brown-red with a hint of pink (curse that Olive Young lighting!). When I got home and applied it under proper lighting, it turned out to be more of a 'brown-red with orange undertones'. Personally, I don't think orange suits me and it's not my style, hence the lower rating. However, if you're an autumn warm tone or love brown-red-orange shades, this will be right up your alley! Longevity ⭐️⭐️⭐️: I wouldn't say the staying power is exceptional. It tends to wear off after eating, leaving a somewhat messy look that requires reapplication. This is especially true if you've applied it as a full lip - always check and reapply after eating or drinking. It also tends to leave marks on cups, so be mindful of that. Application ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: Surprisingly, despite being a matte lipstick, it feels slightly moisturizing during application. Once applied, it has more of a semi-matte finish. While it doesn't completely eliminate the appearance of dead skin cells, it doesn't accentuate them as much as other matte lipsticks, which I found satisfying. Staining ⭐️⭐️⭐️: As someone who enjoys a good lip stain, I found this doesn't stain as intensely as I'd like. However, it does leave behind a stain very similar to its original color, which is why I've given it three stars. Scent: The fragrance is truly headache-inducing. It's quite irritating when applying... It's like a spoiled yogurt smell? It has a very distinct scent, so I'd recommend smelling it before purchasing. Ingredients: The number of potentially harmful ingredients is concerning, especially considering this is applied directly to the lips and can be ingested. Color + Staining + Longevity: As mentioned above, these aspects don't quite align with my personal preferences. Application: Sometimes I experience a 'yogurt effect' (pilling) when applying, though this could be due to my application technique. If you prefer a pink tint like me, try applying a pink lip tint or lipstick as a base, then lightly layer this on top. It creates a beautifully unique color! For those experiencing pilling like me, make sure to exfoliate your lips regularly. When applying, avoid rubbing the product back and forth. Instead, apply a small amount separately to your upper and lower lips, then gently pat with your finger to blend. (I've been lazy with exfoliation lately, which might be contributing to the issue!) - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 12, 2020
This shade is absolutely perfect for warm skin tones! I first spotted it at Olive Young and impulsively bought it because it was so beautiful - no regrets at all. I'm honestly proud of myself for discovering this gem! The color is like an orange-brown, maybe brick? Trust me, when you see it in person, you'll be mesmerized and want to buy it instantly. The staying power is pretty decent too. The scent is really, really off-putting. It's like some kind of industrial smell...? When I'm feeling sensitive, it's almost nauseating. Also, the outer surface of the case peels off easily. I've been careful with mine so it's okay, but I noticed my friend's has peeled a lot around the edges. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinFeb 10, 2020
Suits warm skin tones effortlessly. The matte finish is beautifully flattering. The tint has an artificial scent... It's quite unpleasant if you smell it closely. I'm not usually sensitive to smells, but this one feels off. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 15, 2019
I usually only use bright red tints, but when I tried the fig shade, I fell in love with the red-brown color Personally, I'm not a fan of the scent... I didn't know before buying, but after purchasing, I realized the smell is quite off-putting It looks really beautiful when you layer the fig tint with your favorite red lip tint
