I absolutely love the brick-red shade! It's so pigmented that you only need a small amount, which is great for making it last. The formula doesn't bleed and has excellent durability. The staying power isn't bad either! You just need to reapply after eating, and you're good to go! It's a bit disappointing that it transfers, but not excessively. I tend to have dead skin cells on my lips, and this tint accentuates them slightly more than usual. However, considering the value for money, I would definitely repurchase! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJan 25, 2021
Reviewer's profile: - Prone to chapped lips - Skin undertone somewhere between light and deep Pigmentation ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) The color payoff is fantastic! You get an intense shade with just one application, no need to layer. Color ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) The color has less brown than I expected. While it swatches as a brick shade on the back of my hand, it looks different on the lips, which was a bit disappointing. However, the color itself is so beautiful that I gave it a generous score. Longevity ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) For a matte, mousse-like lip product, it has surprisingly good staying power, even after licking your lips or eating and drinking. Texture ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) The texture feels light and velvety! However, I wouldn't recommend it for those with dry or chap-prone lips like mine. That signature powdery feel can make your lips feel even drier, tempting you to keep biting them. But for those with consistently good lip condition or who don't mind the dryness, this could be a great lip product overall. Finish ⭐☆☆☆☆ (2/5) Personally, I found the finish and feel on the lips very uncomfortable. As mentioned earlier, it seems to emphasize lip dryness, which was disappointing. Whether applying full coverage or gradient style, even after smacking my lips several times, it still had a 'yogurt effect' (patchy application), making it difficult to achieve a satisfying full lip look. Scent ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) The scent is a mix of yogurt and cheese. While it wasn't nauseating to me personally, I think it's definitely a love-it-or-hate-it kind of fragrance. Packaging ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) This was my first time trying a product from the brand Lilybyred, and I had high hopes for their signature block-shaped packaging. While the shape is super cute, it has a critical flaw. The applicator gets stuck when you try to pull it out, and it's even harder to put back in. Unlike other tints, it's not easy to quickly take out and put back. This made using the tint quite frustrating. I won't be repurchasing. While the color is pretty and the texture is innovative, there are plenty of other products out there with similar shades that address the shortcomings of this tint. So, I probably won't buy it again. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 12, 2020
Honest review from my own purchase: Key points: • Lips: Dry + dead skin cells • Usage period: About 5 months • Purchased from: Olive Young Color 3/5: A warm brick shade with brown undertones. It has an orange-brown feel but with a slightly redder tinge. It's on the deeper side. As a muted warm-toned person, I tried it, but this is definitely for those with deep warm undertones! It was a bit too intense for someone like me who prefers natural colors. Application 4.5/5: High marks here! It's smooth and creamy. My lips felt comfortable wearing it. Longevity 3/5: It seems to last a decent amount of time. There was a slight 'yogurt effect' (uneven fading), which was a bit disappointing. Scent 0.5/5: Absolutely terrible... If you really don't care about fragrance at all, then go for it. Packaging 2/5: While the design is pretty, I noticed some product leaking onto the outside of the cap with use. Color!!! The color!!! It's incredibly beautiful!!!!! - If you have a warm skin tone, you absolutely won't regret buying this. It's stunningly gorgeous without being over the top. I love how it's just the right balance. It's the perfect blend of orange+red+brown, and while it's chili-toned, it's not dull at all. It's a shade that brightens up your complexion! The smooth application makes gradients easy - Being a mousse tint, it applies like a cream, making it super easy to create gradients. The application is just fantastic! The scent. - It has a slightly off-putting smell, like spoiled yogurt or rancid cheese. It's really unpleasant... But the color is so beautiful that I can't not use it. However, if you're sensitive to scents, this might be a fragrance you'd want to avoid. Difficult to control the amount - This seems to be a common issue with Lilbetter tints. A lot comes out at once, so apply it lightly and blend with your fingers or a brush. The staining power isn't strong - After one meal, the tint disappears completely! You definitely need to reapply. It transfers easily too... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 6, 2020
As a teenage student with autumn warm mute undertones, I'm a big fan of lilybyred and decided to give this a try. The color is a perfect orange-brown that applies flawlessly. I highly recommend this for those like me who have a slightly yellowish complexion. However, the staying power leaves a lot to be desired. It tends to wear off significantly after eating snacks, drinking beverages, or having meals. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 28, 2020
Here's my one-month review of what's become my holy grail product! - Color: It's an orange-brown shade that's perfect for autumn warm-toned skin! - Application: It glides on incredibly smoothly and feels moisturizing at first, then finishes with a wonderfully soft, powdery feel. The application is absolutely top-notch! - Scent: I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, so I didn't find the scent bothersome at all! - You need to be careful with the amount you apply to get a beautiful finish! - There's a bit of emphasis on dead skin cells - I mixed it with shade #1 and the result was stunning! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 17, 2020
Pigmentation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: The color payoff is incredible. Just one swipe gives you a rich, intense color. Be careful though - the applicator initially comes out with a lot of product! Color ⭐️⭐️⭐️: I initially swatched this at Olive Young and thought it was a toned-down brown-red with a hint of pink (curse that Olive Young lighting!). When I got home and applied it under proper lighting, it turned out to be more of a 'brown-red with orange undertones'. Personally, I don't think orange suits me and it's not my style, hence the lower rating. However, if you're an autumn warm tone or love brown-red-orange shades, this will be right up your alley! Longevity ⭐️⭐️⭐️: I wouldn't say the staying power is exceptional. It tends to wear off after eating, leaving a somewhat messy look that requires reapplication. This is especially true if you've applied it as a full lip - always check and reapply after eating or drinking. It also tends to leave marks on cups, so be mindful of that. Application ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: Surprisingly, despite being a matte lipstick, it feels slightly moisturizing during application. Once applied, it has more of a semi-matte finish. While it doesn't completely eliminate the appearance of dead skin cells, it doesn't accentuate them as much as other matte lipsticks, which I found satisfying. Staining ⭐️⭐️⭐️: As someone who enjoys a good lip stain, I found this doesn't stain as intensely as I'd like. However, it does leave behind a stain very similar to its original color, which is why I've given it three stars. Scent: The fragrance is truly headache-inducing. It's quite irritating when applying... It's like a spoiled yogurt smell? It has a very distinct scent, so I'd recommend smelling it before purchasing. Ingredients: The number of potentially harmful ingredients is concerning, especially considering this is applied directly to the lips and can be ingested. Color + Staining + Longevity: As mentioned above, these aspects don't quite align with my personal preferences. Application: Sometimes I experience a 'yogurt effect' (pilling) when applying, though this could be due to my application technique. If you prefer a pink tint like me, try applying a pink lip tint or lipstick as a base, then lightly layer this on top. It creates a beautifully unique color! For those experiencing pilling like me, make sure to exfoliate your lips regularly. When applying, avoid rubbing the product back and forth. Instead, apply a small amount separately to your upper and lower lips, then gently pat with your finger to blend. (I've been lazy with exfoliation lately, which might be contributing to the issue!) - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinFeb 23, 2020
First off, I absolutely adore the case! It fits perfectly in one hand, not too long, and has this snug, just-right size. The color payoff is fantastic too - it's that perfect brick shade I love. The scent is truly awful... I've gotten used to it now, but I was shocked at first. The smell is really peculiar. It emphasizes dead skin cells terribly. And I'm not sure if it's just me applying it wrong, but it leaves such harsh lines. It's really stressful. The way it highlights flaky skin is seriously intense. I recommend applying it to your lips and blending with your fingers instead of rubbing your lips together. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 14, 2020
First off, I have a deep undertone! I bought this at LaLa Bla and fell in love at first application. The color is a slightly toned-down orange-red with a tiny hint of apricot and brown mixed in. Usually, I shy away from orange-browns and reds as they're too overwhelming, but this 'Fig Puree' shade looks natural while still giving my face a lively boost. It's definitely a product worth trying if you have a warm complexion! The color, packaging, everything is perfect, but the scent is really off-putting. It's like they spilled several perfumes and mixed them together. I find myself holding my breath every time I apply this tint. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 12, 2020
This shade is absolutely perfect for warm skin tones! I first spotted it at Olive Young and impulsively bought it because it was so beautiful - no regrets at all. I'm honestly proud of myself for discovering this gem! The color is like an orange-brown, maybe brick? Trust me, when you see it in person, you'll be mesmerized and want to buy it instantly. The staying power is pretty decent too. The scent is really, really off-putting. It's like some kind of industrial smell...? When I'm feeling sensitive, it's almost nauseating. Also, the outer surface of the case peels off easily. I've been careful with mine so it's okay, but I noticed my friend's has peeled a lot around the edges.
