I've always had severe deep dryness, which got even worse from wearing masks daily. Even after applying creams and moisturizers, my skin felt like it was about to crack after cleansing. But after using this product, while it didn't completely eliminate my skin's deep dryness, it definitely improved a lot! After washing my face, I used to feel like I couldn't even speak or smile because my skin felt so tight. Now I can talk and laugh comfortably! Also, since I have sparse eyebrows, I tend to apply heavier brow makeup. This cleanser removes it completely without the need for double cleansing! With other products, I always had residue on my towel if I didn't double cleanse, but this one removes everything thoroughly!
ConsI didn't find any particular downsides while using this product! I'm satisfied with it in every aspect!
TipI love using cleansing nets, so I often used this product with one!

Amazing lather and incredibly soft even in cream form. 2. Significantly reduces sebum-related texture. 3. No skin tightness. 4. Surprisingly, skin remains healthy even after double or triple cleansing. I've been using Happy Bath since childhood, but it wasn't suitable for my acne-prone skin, so I've been trying different products. After using Soapberry, I'm absolutely in love! Unlike the original Happy Bath cleansing foam, which was thick like butter cream and difficult to lather without vigorous mixing, this one is easier to use. The original would barely dissolve in water and often left residue, potentially contributing to acne. This new formula is thinner and works wonders for my sensitive, makeup-wearing skin. With daily use, I've noticed a significant reduction in sebum-related texture, and it removes makeup effectively. The best part? No skin tightness! I used to be bothered by the drying effect of non-acidic foams, but this doesn't dry out my skin at all. Another advantage of Happy Bath is that it doesn't sting during double or triple cleansing, unlike other products. I'm thrilled with how it's reduced my skin's texture issues. I'll definitely be sticking with Soapberry for the foreseeable future!
ConsWhile I appreciate that it's thinner than the original Happy Bath cleansing foam and doesn't spread everywhere like toothpaste when squeezed, I'm a bit disappointed it comes in a tube. I understand this is standard for the Happy Bath series, but I'd love to see a pump version of Soapberry in the future.
TipHere's a pro tip: If you've tried other products in the series, you'll know that Soapberry is incredibly gentle and gives you that satisfying 'clean' feeling after washing. Trust me, you absolutely must try Soapberry!

I wanted to try Happy Bath's cleansing foam since they're so well-known for their body wash line. What I loved most was: ✔ Deep hydration after cleansing My skin didn't feel tight after washing, which was great. While it didn't have that super-clean feeling after rinsing, my skin stayed moisturized for a long time! It felt like my skin was holding onto moisture - I've never experienced that before. It's like having a damp cotton pad on your skin, and I loved that hydrated feeling. When I applied skincare products after cleansing, it felt like my skin was filling up with moisture from the inside! It made my skin texture feel like soft mochi! This cleansing foam seems perfect for my combination dehydrated skin. ✔ Gentle cream texture The cream is incredibly soft, which I loved! No irritation and rich lather... I enjoyed the velvety cream feeling throughout the cleansing process.
ConsI noticed other reviews mentioned the scent was disappointing, but personally, I barely noticed any fragrance. I'm not particularly sensitive to scents, but this one definitely wasn't strong! The aspect I found a bit lacking was: ✔ Lack of refreshing feeling right after cleansing But I think this can't be helped! Since I have oily skin, I usually prefer cleansing foams that leave a cool finish. However, those often don't provide deep hydration... That being said, it doesn't feel slippery or squeaky clean. I definitely felt like it cleansed thoroughly!
TipIt's gentle and mild, so I use it for morning cleansing or as a second cleanse after removing makeup.

Soft and moisturizing As someone with very dry skin, this is crucial for me. The texture is much softer than a cream, applies smoothly, and cleanses well even with a small amount. It worked great both on days without makeup and with full makeup (including sunscreen and cushion foundation). 2. No skin tightness after cleansing This was a fantastic feature. I've used over 6 bottles of Happy Bath cleansing foams (different lines) before, but this one feels even more hydrating. Even after towel-drying, my skin didn't feel tight. 3. Skin-friendly ingredients While Happy Bath is an accessible and approachable brand, it often struggled to meet Hwahae's strict standards. However, this Soapberry Cleansing Foam has no harmful ingredients and is particularly gentle for dry skin like mine. I'm usually willing to compromise on ingredients for cleansers and color cosmetics, but I'm really impressed with the formulation of this Soapberry cleanser. 4. Suitable for both dry and oily skin I have dry skin, and a family member has oily skin. I'm satisfied with its moisturizing properties, and my oily-skinned family member is happy too. They say it leaves the skin feeling hydrated yet fresh after cleansing. 5. Minimal residue after cleansing I usually use an exfoliating toner after cleansing to remove any leftover residue. Compared to my previous cleanser (from a domestic brand A), this one leaves much less makeup residue. If you use an exfoliating toner, you'll definitely notice the difference on your cotton pad.
ConsThere are no negatives! The Soapberry scent has a very faint ginseng-like aroma (about 1/30 of the intensity of Ryo shampoo's scent), probably due to the saponin content. I actually like herbal scents, so I enjoyed it. However, this might be a matter of personal preference. If you dislike herbal scents, you might want to avoid this product.
TipThe foam is surprisingly rich and abundant, so if you use a foam net, bubble maker, or cleansing brush, a small amount will suffice. This seems to be a common characteristic of Happy Bath cleansing foams. (I've previously used Happy Bath's Grain and Fruit Yogurt cleansing foams)

I had the wonderful opportunity to try out the Happy Bath Soapberry Pure All Green Cleansing Foam. Thank you so much! My skin is extremely dry and super sensitive, with deep dryness. I'm always very careful about my cleansing and skincare products! Skin-friendly ingredients: This was the main reason I applied to be a Hwahae Tester for this product! As someone with sensitive and very dry skin, I'm always cautious about ingredients because dryness can make my skin even more sensitive and prone to blemishes. The Happy Bath Soapberry Pure All Green Cleansing Foam excludes 10 potentially irritating ingredients, including PEG surfactants, animal-derived ingredients, and polyacrylamide. It's formulated with plant extracts and centella asiatica for soothing, making it suitable even for my sensitive skin! It also contains squalane to form a moisture barrier, so those with dry skin can use it without worry. Bouncy foam: Some products labeled as cleansing foams, especially those with gentle or '10-Free' formulas, don't actually foam up well. I was a bit concerned about this, but the Happy Bath Soapberry Pure All Green Cleansing Foam surprised me! It not only lathers well but also creates a bouncy foam that's perfect for massaging into the skin. This allowed for a thorough cleanse! Cleansing effectiveness: For someone like me who doesn't wear heavy makeup and usually just applies sunscreen, the cleansing power was quite good! On occasions when I wear more makeup or use a base product, I use cleansing water for my first cleanse, followed by this foam as a second cleanser. It works great for a thorough cleanse! I was very satisfied with its cleansing effectiveness.
ConsDryness: Earlier, I mentioned that the squalane in the formula forms a moisture barrier, making it suitable for dry skin. I also expected it wouldn't be too drying due to its skin-friendly ingredients. However, for my extremely dry skin, it was still a bit drying. I felt some tightness after cleansing, which was disappointing.
TipFirst or second cleanser: For those who don't wear heavy makeup and just use sunscreen, this works well as a single-step cleanser! However, if you wear makeup or use base products, I recommend using this as your second cleanser. Especially for those with dry skin, using cleansing water as your first step followed by this foam will help you finish your cleansing routine with more hydration.

Many cosmetics often cause itching or tingling, but this product feels gentle, probably because it's free of surfactants and contains various oils. [Hydration] This is truly... the best in terms of hydration among all the products I've used so far. My skin usually feels dry and tight immediately after cleansing, and I prefer a squeaky clean finish. However, I had to use low pH products despite this. With this cleanser, the finish is soft and powdery, yet there's absolutely no deep dryness! It's amazing and the most satisfying aspect. [Lather] The lather is decent, with a rich, whipped cream-like texture. [Cleansing Effectiveness] I typically wear waterproof eye makeup and cleanse in the order of lip and eye remover, cleansing oil, then cleansing foam. So I don't use this to remove makeup. It doesn't seem to remove makeup products well, but it's excellent as a second-step cleanser.
Cons[Scent] It's neither plastic nor woody... almost herbal but not quite. At first, the scent was a bit off-putting, but I got used to it with continued use. Those sensitive to fragrances should be cautious. [Packaging] The wide opening caught me off guard the first time I used it... I pressed it without thinking and too much product came out, which was surprising.

Fantastic! Deep Dryness: Unlike other cleansing products that caused severe deep dryness, this one - no exaggeration - left no dryness at all. It's amazing! (Personal experience) Lather: The lather isn't great, unfortunately. It's fine if you have a foaming tool, but it's difficult to create foam with just your hands. Cleansing Effectiveness: In my experience, it removed foundation and blush well! For those who dislike any residue, using a cleansing tool (like the ones sold at Daiso) instead of your hands will leave your skin feeling extra clean. Blemishes: I had small blemishes on my cheeks, and there was no change - they didn't get worse or better. However, my skin did feel soothed. Scent: The scent is neither good nor bad. It's almost unscented, which is better compared to other products.
ConsIt's disappointing that it doesn't lather well. This product might be better suited for those who have a foaming tool.
TipMany people might just squeeze the cleansing foam onto their hands and rub it on their face! But as mentioned in the product details, it's recommended to squeeze a coin-sized amount of cleansing foam into a foaming net, add a small amount of water, and create a rich lather. Then, apply this foam to your face for a deep cleanse that reaches into your pores! I found that applying the foam to my face felt much better.

The bottle size is generous, and it lathers up nicely. It doesn't seem to cause any deep dryness, though that might be because I have oily skin... haha!
ConsThe scent is... well... a bit off. But it's just a cleansing foam, so I suppose the smell isn't a huge deal!
