It lathers well and has a creamy texture, which seems to reduce skin irritation.
ConsThe foam dispenser opening is larger than other products, so you end up using more than expected.
TipUsing a bubble maker can create even richer and creamier foam.

It lathers up nicely with rich foam and glides smoothly and softly on the face. It's almost like whipped cream! It's gentle enough for people with super sensitive skin or even young users to use without irritation. The refreshing scent while cleansing is quite pleasant. (I wonder if that's from the soapberry fruit?) I love that the fragrance lingers on my hands even now. After cleansing, my skin doesn't feel slippery but instead feels soft and retains moisture. It's so refreshing! The 150g size is generous, and at 11,000 won, the price is reasonable. I think this will last me quite a while. Usually, I don't read product descriptions before trying items. I find that reading them beforehand can influence my subjective assessment when writing reviews. But after using this, I looked at the product and thought, 'Ah, so that's why it worked so well!'
ConsI can't think of any downsides. I've decided to switch to this product once I finish what I'm currently using.
TipWhen cleansing, don't just scrub roughly. Instead, gently massage following the contours of your face. This seems to help clean out cosmetics even from between fine lines.

Here's my experience after using it for a week. I have oily, acne-prone skin. *Texture The foam has very fine particles and feels incredibly soft. *Scent It has a herbal scent reminiscent of a traditional medicine clinic. Personally, I like it, but it might be a love-it-or-hate-it situation depending on individual preferences. *Tightness The product claims to reduce dryness after cleansing. Initially, I thought I felt some tightness, but compared to my previous foam cleanser, it actually left my skin feeling less tight.
Cons*Deep cleansing It fell short when it came to deep cleansing. I usually use an oil cleanser followed by a foam cleanser for my second cleanse, but this product didn't seem sufficient for that purpose. As a result, I've been using it as my morning cleanser instead. It seems to work best for morning cleansing routines.

Cleansing Effectiveness: I previously used low pH foam cleansers, but found them slippery, possibly due to their moisturizing properties, which was a bit inconvenient. The Happy Bath cleanser, not being low pH, provided a slightly squeaky clean feeling. I often only wear sunscreen, and this cleanser is sufficient for removing it. Recommended as a second-step cleanser for those who prefer a thorough cleanse. (May not be strong enough to remove heavy makeup in one go) User Experience: The rich texture allows for easy lathering with a small amount, creating a soft foam that's great for thorough cleansing. During the cleansing process, I didn't feel any dryness, probably thanks to the squalane ingredient. Scent: There's a distinct scent... I perceived it as a saponin-like fragrance. While I'm not sensitive to scents, many people are these days, so be cautious if you're scent-sensitive!
ConsNot recommended for those sensitive to fragrances or with dry skin. Skin feels dry after cleansing.

There are no embellishments or false reviews.) Personally, this is my favorite foam cleanser among all I've tried so far. You might think 'how good can a foam be?', but the Soapberry line has never disappointed me among all the foams I've used. 1. Soft foam It's truly amazing how such soft foam can be created by hand. When applied to the face, the foam doesn't dissipate and feels dense. 2. Refreshing cleansing effectiveness I might have felt this more strongly as I switched from using a low pH product. Personally, I prefer products that finish cleanly rather than those that feel slippery. In that aspect, both the cleansing power and the finish are excellent. 3. No eye irritation (Good ingredients) I have very sensitive eyes, so I tend to avoid products that irritate them. This product causes no irritation at all. It's also fragrance-free.
ConsThere weren't really any downsides. The only minor issue is that the tube opening is a bit large, but that's not even an inconvenience.
TipJust a little rubbing with your hands produces a lot of foam. Use only small amounts at a time.

I have oily skin with atopy, so my skin is both greasy and sensitive. Due to my sensitivity, I pay close attention to ingredients, but because of my oily skin, I also prioritize cleansing effectiveness. This makes me quite picky! The best thing about this product is its incredibly gentle texture! It feels so soft that I didn't experience any irritation at all. Cleansing effectiveness: It cleanses well, leaving no feeling of residual impurities or makeup. After cleansing: While those with dry skin might find it a bit drying, for oily skin types like mine, it leaves the skin feeling fresh without overly stripping moisture. Personally, I didn't have high expectations for this product, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. I'm very satisfied and would definitely use it again!
ConsWhile others mentioned a unique scent, I honestly couldn't detect any fragrance at all! This might be due to my less sensitive nose, but there wasn't any particularly bothersome scent as far as I could tell. The only minor issue is that you need to control the pressure when dispensing the product, as too much can come out if you're not careful.

I'm Shizuka, and I'm thrilled to have been chosen as one of The Hwahae Testers this time! I was running low on foam cleanser, so receiving this was such a stroke of luck. I've been using it for a few days to give you a thorough review, so here we go! First off, let's talk about the cleansing effectiveness: • It leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean As for the lather: • The foam is like whipped cream and lathers up beautifully when you massage it in At first, I was thinking, 'Wow, this cleanses so well and lathers up nicely! It's fantastic!' However, after a while, I noticed that when I cleansed with this product: • The areas around my cheeks and eyes started to feel a bit uncomfortable Now I'm only using it on my forehead and nose, and using a different product for the rest of my face. I have combination and super sensitive skin, so if I use the wrong product, it can be quite troublesome. However, by limiting its use to just my forehead and nose, I'm not experiencing any discomfort anymore. Of course, everyone's skin is different, so it's best to consider your own skin type when making a purchase.
Cons• Face feels uncomfortable after use • Leaves skin feeling dry The dryness has always been an issue for me with cleansers, but the sudden increase in skin discomfort really caught me off guard.
Tip• I recommend using this as your first cleanse • Then following up with a different cleanser for your second cleanse

Ingredients: The ingredients are truly gentle! While people usually carefully choose their skin emulsions, many around me tend to use any foam cleanser without much thought. This product is so mild that absolutely anyone can use it! 2. Lather: It lathers up well with just a small amount and a bit of water on your hands. The foam felt soft and rich! Using a foam maker creates a whipped cream-like lather, which is great for a gentler cleansing method. 3. Cleansing effectiveness: I usually do a foam cleanse in the morning too, but using the same product morning and night was too harsh, and just water in the morning felt insufficient. So I had been using different products, which was costly and cumbersome, not to mention taking up space in my small bathroom. This product solved both morning and evening cleansing needs! It was gentle enough for morning use, and in the evening, it worked great as a second cleanser, leaving my skin clean and fresh without any residue. 4. Design: I don't usually care much about packaging, focusing more on product effectiveness, but this one has a clean, pretty design that I had no complaints about! The tube type was also convenient to use. 5. Overall: I've decided to replace my two separate foam cleansers with just this one! It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight after cleansing, has good cleansing power while being adequately gentle, and most importantly, the ingredients are truly mild!
ConsI used it without any particular downsides. I'm planning to use up this entire tube and use my previous foam cleanser for washing hands and feet!
TipIt works best in the evening when used after an oil, balm, or micellar water as the first cleanse!

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThe Hwahae Testers review: Summary: 1. Amazing lather and incredibly soft even in cream form. 2. Significantly reduces sebum-related texture. 3. No skin tightness. 4. Surprisingly, skin remains healthy even after double or triple cleansing. I've been using Happy Bath since childhood, but it wasn't suitable for my acne-prone skin, so I've been trying different products. After using Soapberry, I'm absolutely in love! Unlike the original Happy Bath cleansing foam, which was thick like butter cream and difficult to lather without vigorous mixing, this one is easier to use. The original would barely dissolve in water and often left residue, potentially contributing to acne. This new formula is thinner and works wonders for my sensitive, makeup-wearing skin. With daily use, I've noticed a significant reduction in sebum-related texture, and it removes makeup effectively. The best part? No skin tightness! I used to be bothered by the drying effect of non-acidic foams, but this doesn't dry out my skin at all. Another advantage of Happy Bath is that it doesn't sting during double or triple cleansing, unlike other products. I'm thrilled with how it's reduced my skin's texture issues. I'll definitely be sticking with Soapberry for the foreseeable future!
ConsWhile I appreciate that it's thinner than the original Happy Bath cleansing foam and doesn't spread everywhere like toothpaste when squeezed, I'm a bit disappointed it comes in a tube. I understand this is standard for the Happy Bath series, but I'd love to see a pump version of Soapberry in the future.
TipHere's a pro tip: If you've tried other products in the series, you'll know that Soapberry is incredibly gentle and gives you that satisfying 'clean' feeling after washing. Trust me, you absolutely must try Soapberry!

I have sensitive, acne-prone, and damaged skin. Since even the slightest incompatibility can cause blemishes, I pay close attention to ingredients. Due to my super sensitive skin, I often use products designed for babies! ● Cleansing effectiveness: As a foam cleanser, it should have good cleansing power, right? This product has a slightly elastic and fine-textured foam. (As many people have mentioned, it feels similar to Perfect Whip) It removes oil well and leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean! I usually use low pH cleansers, which have a slippery feel and seem less cleansing. This product, however, feels refreshing and removes oil so well that it almost feels a bit drying, indicating its strong cleansing power. ● Ingredients: Being sensitive-skinned, I scrutinize ingredients, and this has no harmful ones! It's free from 10 bad ingredients and contains Centella Asiatica extract, which I personally love! While it's not a low pH cleanser, which some might prefer, even I, who usually use low pH cleansers, felt like using something like this on days I wear makeup. Low pH cleansers can feel less cleansing on those days. This product gives a thorough cleansing feeling, so I recommend it for occasional use on makeup days! ● User experience: It feels refreshing and invigorating, with fine bubbles that seem to cleanse deep into the pores! I recommend it to those who like elastic foam and a squeaky clean feeling without oiliness.
Cons● Scent: It has a slightly herbal or grassy scent which was unfamiliar to me. I like this kind of scent, but it might be divisive! I wish the fragrance was a bit milder. ● Packaging: Personally, I felt too much product came out. The large opening made it a bit difficult to control the amount! (However, it was nice that you could get elastic foam even without a foam net, regardless of how much you squeeze out) ● The cleansing power might be too strong. While those who like a squeaky clean feeling will enjoy it, for those like me who are used to the slippery feel of low pH cleansers, and those with sensitive skin, I recommend using it only occasionally, 1-2 times. (I didn't experience any blemishes or issues after use, but I've often heard that for sensitive skin, over-cleansing can be irritating)
TipRecommended for those with oily skin!
