  Pros

  True to its name, this lipstick has a velvety finish. The color lasts quite well, giving a natural look. It's a great value when you catch it on sale!

  Cons

  It tends to accentuate dead skin cells, even if there's just a tiny bit. While that's a bit disappointing, the price-to-quality ratio is decent enough to keep using it. When applied, the color turns much pinker than it appears in photos.

  Pros

  The color is a beautiful dried rose shade. I have an ambiguous complexion that's 60% warm and 40% cool, but when I applied this over an orange-brown color, it looked lovely. It also looks natural when applied lightly on its own. Even when wearing a mask after application, it doesn't transfer much. For a lipstick, the staying power seems pretty decent.

  Cons

  Since I'm not a fan of matte lipsticks to begin with, I found it disappointing that it didn't glide on smoothly during application.
