It removes makeup well, but since it didn't suit my skin, I used it to clean my brushes instead. It works even better than brush-specific cleansers. It doesn't leave any oily residue, cleans foundation brushes effectively, and I highly recommend it. It really didn't agree with my skin at all. I developed contact dermatitis, with red, inflamed bumps appearing all over.

For a moisturizing first step in makeup removal, it's absolutely top-notch! It's especially perfect for those days when you've only applied sunscreen and don't want to use a heavy cleansing oil for your initial cleanse. After wiping with this as the first step, followed by a cleansing foam as the second step, you can remove your makeup without any deep dryness, leaving your skin feeling hydrated. The only downside would naturally be the price, but this product is so magical it makes you overlook even that drawback. Personally, I use a dedicated remover for my eye and lip makeup before proceeding. While using Avène Micellar Emulsion (Cleansing Water), I loved that it didn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry after use. Generously soaking a cotton pad and gently wiping once or twice was enough for thorough cleansing. It seems to be a cleansing water that's particularly well-suited for very dry and dry skin types. The downside I noticed while using it was the overpowering alcohol scent, which might be polarizing for some users. This is a product I've been consistently using and loving. I pour it into a foaming dispenser and use the foam directly for cleansing without needing cotton pads. When it comes to removing Double Wear foundation, I'm a bit concerned whether it's thoroughly cleansed everything. It's so hydrating! It's gentle, and I apply multiple layers. Since it's a mild product, I often buy Avène items when I want a soothing effect. It removes light makeup well and is gentle on the skin. I think it would be suitable for anyone to use. It doesn't remove heavy makeup very effectively, which is a bit... disappointing.
