I appreciate that it doesn't make my hair feel stiff.
ConsThere's quite a bit of color transfer, so you'll need to use dark-colored towels and place a towel on your pillow when sleeping.

I tried coloring my roots and I'm so satisfied with how well it worked.
ConsThe price is too high. They say to apply it generously when dyeing, but if you're doing your whole head, you won't get many uses out of it.
TipI love that there's no itchiness after coloring.

Since it's a coating product rather than a dye, you can cover your gray hair without worrying about damaging your locks.
ConsAfter using it about 5 times, I was extremely satisfied for the first 3 applications. It was super gentle with no skin irritation or allergic reactions, and my hair texture even improved. I have seborrheic dermatitis with severe dead skin cells buildup on my scalp. During the third application, I forcefully removed a lot of scalp flakes, which left my scalp a bit irritated before coloring. Maybe because of this, my scalp became incredibly itchy after coloring. The area above my ears also swelled and stung. Since the first three times had no irritation during or after coloring, I didn't think it was due to Ricirey. So a week later, I colored again in the evening. By bedtime, my scalp became progressively itchier to the point where I couldn't sleep. By morning, the skin from my forehead to hairline had reddened, my entire scalp was stinging, and the crown area was oozing fluid, making my hair stiff. It was terrifying. The allergic reaction was almost identical to what I found when searching for hair dye allergy symptoms. The upper part of my ears also swelled, turned red, and peeled. It's been about 2 weeks and it's getting better, but I don't understand why this suddenly happened when it was fine before and supposedly has no harmful ingredients. For now, I've stopped using it and am focusing on scalp recovery. Once my scalp improves, I'm considering trying again with a very small amount. The product itself seems good, but I'm so upset about this sudden allergic reaction.
TipThe color turned out best when I left it on for over 2 hours wearing an aluminum hair cap and a heat cap. Since it's a coating product, some color will inevitably wash out with each shampoo, but using a low pH shampoo or shampoo bar helps minimize color loss. I was consistently using a low pH shampoo bar, but one day I used a different shampoo (slightly alkaline) and was shocked when the remaining color suddenly washed out. Make sure to use a low pH shampoo when using Ricirey.

After using it, I had no allergic reactions, and after about three applications, the color came out beautifully without damaging my hair. It's so convenient that I've switched to using only Ricirey now. I absolutely love it! Highly recommended!
ConsThe color doesn't come out perfectly in one go, but it works great if you use it consistently once a week! It's perfect for those who, like me, have difficulty dyeing their hair due to allergies.
TipUnlike regular hair dye, you don't need to shampoo after coloring, which saves time. Using a hair cap while dyeing helps the color take even better!

But after trying Ricirey Treatment, I've stuck with it. It doesn't have that typical hair dye smell, doesn't damage my hair, and even makes it more bouncy. It's perfect for DIY hair coloring. The natural ingredients seem to make it noticeably gentler, which I love. I highly recommend this to anyone with a sensitive scalp!
ConsKeep in mind that since it's plant-based, the color becomes more intense with repeated use!

It doesn't damage the hair; instead, it makes it softer. 2. Probably due to its natural ingredients, it doesn't cause any tingling or itching. 3. There's no unpleasant odor. 4. The quantity is quite generous (even after using it on both parents, there's enough left for about two more applications).
Cons1. The color barely takes. The instructions suggest leaving it on for 15 minutes to an hour. We tried 20 minutes for my mother and 40 minutes for my father, but neither of them saw much color change. There was only a slight brown tint.
TipIf you have the time to spare, it might be worth trying to leave it on for the full hour.

There's hardly any smell, and the texture is like a treatment, which seems great for hair health. Usually when dyeing, it's a mess with stains on hands and clothes, but this is so convenient as you can apply it with bare hands. While it doesn't cover grays as well as regular hair dye, it still does the job. It's more like a coating or hair manicure rather than traditional dye. It reminds me of those at-home hair manicure products, but with even less scent. After use, your hair feels softer and looks healthier, like after a hair manicure. I found through blog searches that it's marketed as a hair dye for pregnant women, so it could be great for those dealing with grays during pregnancy.
ConsIt doesn't dye as effectively as regular hair dye. Unlike regular dye that you apply before washing, this needs to be applied after washing and drying your hair, which is a bit inconvenient. Like hair manicures, the color does fade with washing, but fortunately, it doesn't stain other things. Being a Japanese product does give me some reservations.
TipIt seems best to leave it on for at least 30 minutes, but less than an hour.

The photo shows the results on my brown-dyed hair without grays.
Cons- The color doesn't last very long. But if you think of it as a treatment and reapply when the color fades, it's not too bad. Just a bit of a hassle..? - It's a bit on the pricey side. - Although it's meant to be applied with bare hands, it can stain your nails slightly, so I'd recommend wearing gloves.
TipThere's a comb included, but it's hard to apply thoroughly with it. I recommend wearing gloves and applying with your hands for best results!

Scent Unlike most hair dyes that have a chemical smell no matter how mild they claim to be, this product has absolutely no odor. It was pleasant not feeling uncomfortable while waiting for the dye to process. 2. Scalp and Hair Texture With other dyes, I often felt a tingling on my scalp and my hair would feel stiff after washing. With this product, I didn't experience any of that. My hair texture wasn't damaged and the whole process was comfortable. 3. Color Selection I appreciate that you can choose a color that matches your natural hair color. 4. QR Code Instructions It's great that they included a QR code on the case for easy access to usage instructions and precautions.
Cons1. Price While it's cheaper compared to getting root touch-ups at a salon multiple times, it's a bit pricey for a treatment. I only applied it to my roots to test its effectiveness, but for long hair, you might need to use half to a whole bottle for full coverage. 2. Color Payoff Due to being in COVID isolation, I only used it twice - right after delivery and on the last day of the review period. While I noticed a tone-down effect on my existing black hair, it barely colored my gray hairs, which was the main reason I wanted to use this treatment. (The website mentions repeating the application for gray hair coverage, so I'll update my review after multiple uses.)
Tip1. Despite the good ingredients that shouldn't cause major issues if they touch bare skin, any skin that comes into contact with the product will be dyed. It's best to apply it carefully to your hair, just like you would with regular hair dye, preferably using gloves. 2. If the product gets on unwanted areas, you can remove the dye by applying shampoo to the affected area.

Easy to use: Being a treatment, I felt comfortable approaching it without the anxiety of potential failure like with regular hair dyes. 2. Color: The dark brown shade is natural-looking and not at all outdated. 3. Scent: No harsh chemical odors like regular hair dyes! This was the most satisfying aspect. 4. No hair damage after coloring! It's a win-win situation - you can color your hair while improving its condition with this treatment.
ConsThe price is quite steep for regular use. Other than that, I haven't found any drawbacks yet.
TipI applied for this event to cover my mother's gray hair. We applied it only to the areas with grays, waited about 50 minutes, then shampooed. Since it was our first time, the coverage wasn't perfect, but the areas where I applied it thoroughly were well-colored. I recommend applying it meticulously, front and back, and gently massaging it in with your fingers for better absorption. Waiting 50 minutes definitely improved the coloring results. The product instructions (not on the box, but with the product itself) even allow for up to 60 minutes of processing time. You can apply it carefully, put on a cap, and go about your business while you wait.
