  Pros

  I must have gone through at least five bottles of the previous version. I absolutely loved its rich, thick texture and how dramatically different my skin looked when I used it versus when I didn't.

  Cons

  However, after the reformulation, it's become much thinner. Now I can barely notice any effects, and with the new packaging, it's even harder to squeeze out. I definitely prefer the old version.

  Pros

  Texture: Rich cream Scent: Floral Curling power: High I've been using this for quite a while, even before the reformulation, but this new version is sooooo much better. With my hippie perm, the previous version left my hair a bit frizzy, but this one keeps my curls super defined.

  Cons

  There aren't any... Really, there are none. Like all curling products, you need to wash your hands after applying? But that's the case with most hair products anyway.

  Tip

  If you have a perm, scrunch the product into your hair for more voluminous curls.

  I tried the Recovery Balm again after a long time since it was on sale. It works well for me, as I have thin hair with small, curly coils. It helps define the curls while keeping them tame. Being a balm, it has a thick consistency.

  Cons

  Due to its nature, you need to wash your hands after application. I prefer this heavier texture over a lighter one, so I'm willing to deal with that.

  I use it after towel-drying my hair, before it's completely dry.

  The thick texture really makes a noticeable improvement in hair quality. It's so convenient that you can apply it after shampooing and drying without rinsing it out. However, to get the best results, don't be stingy - you need to squeeze out about 2/3 of your pinky finger's length.

  Cons

  It does have a bit of stickiness. At first, I was hesitant to use it because it felt too sticky. Compared to other no-wash treatments, this one definitely has a more noticeable sticky feeling.

  Tip

  Make sure to use a generous amount, about 2/3 the length of your pinky finger. For me, it's a bit heavy for daily use, so I alternate it with a lighter no-wash treatment.
