The Hwahae Testers Review Hydrating Summer Essential for Combination Dehydrated Skin! A serum that locks in moisture while keeping the surface matte Here's my honest review after using it daily for two weeks. I have typical combination dehydrated skin that becomes oily in summer. My main concerns are pores, blackheads, and small bumps around my nose area. I hope this helps those with similar skin types! I used this product every morning and evening, and to minimize the influence of other cosmetics, I only used toner followed by the Makiol serum. Routine: * Morning: Dokdo exfoliating toner - Makiol serum * Evening: Dokdo exfoliating toner (applied twice) - Makiol serum (When my skin felt a bit dry, I either applied an extra layer of Makiol serum or added Dr.G moisturizer) I discovered this brand through the Hwahae Testers program, and it seems to be a perfect solution for combination dehydrated skin concerns! 1. Application The texture is between a runny and creamy consistency, but leans more towards the runny side. It spreads thinly, allowing for easy layering. You can quickly apply it when you're in a hurry. 2. Absorption When I first dropped it, it looked white like milk or a nourishing cream, so I thought it would be oily... Not at all! It applies moistly but absorbs quickly! It absorbs so fast that you can apply sunscreen or moisturizer right after without any pilling. 3. Hydration It's moisturizing without being too oily, making it suitable for oily skin types. It provides deep hydration. Rather than making skin greasy, it balances oil and moisture well. After using it for almost two weeks, I noticed a hydrated glow after absorption! 4. Perfect for combination dehydrated skin in summer. It's easy to apply and not sticky, so I reach for it often! My mom with dry skin tried it too, but felt it evaporated too quickly! For dry skin, this product alone might not provide enough moisture. 1. Not recommended for dry skin As mentioned above, those with dry skin might find it lacking in moisture. However, for oily skin like mine, it's just right. 2. Fragrance Personally, I prefer fragrance-free products, so this was a bit disappointing. It seems to have various oils that contribute to the scent, but it's not overly artificial. It's mainly a rosemary scent with a hint of citrus at the end. 3. No effect on blackheads or pores Personally, blackheads and pores are my biggest concerns, but I didn't see much improvement in those areas! I've only used it for two weeks, so I'll continue using it to see if there are long-term effects. However, it did help with deep hydration, slightly reducing small bumps, and I didn't experience any blemishes! It seems to be a safe, reliable product. I don't have any specific tips, but I found that applying two layers of this product seems to be more beneficial for deep hydration than just one layer! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 3, 2020
As someone with oily skin, I was thrilled to find a skincare product specifically designed for my skin type. True to its name, it felt incredibly light and fresh, without any heaviness or stickiness. I even noticed a slight reduction in oiliness. This skincare line could be perfect for summer use, even if you don't have particularly oily skin! I didn't see much improvement in pore tightening or blackhead reduction. The hydration felt a bit lacking, so while it's meant for oily skin, it might not be suitable for winter use or for those with dry skin. I'm not particularly sensitive, so it's hard to say, but I'm not sure if it's as gentle as claimed. If you feel like it lacks hydration, try layering it with a hydrating cream or another moisturizing product!
