I decided to buy this lip balm because it's one of the most affordable options among dermatological brands. As other reviewers have mentioned, the application is extremely stiff and the ingredient list is disappointing. If I had researched the reviews beforehand, I probably wouldn't have purchased it. - 2h********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 10, 2022
While it doesn't give an immediate 'wow, so moisturizing!' sensation, this product really does an excellent job of hydrating the lips. I didn't experience any blemishes either. The lip balm comes out at an angle, so to use every last bit, you'll need to resort to other methods like digging it out with a cotton swab. But aside from that, I can't find any other drawbacks! - vt******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 19, 2021
I'm someone who can't live without lip balm 365 days a year. Despite the mixed reviews, I find the application smooth, and it keeps my lips moisturized for a long time. I think it's a solid choice for everyday use. Personally, I dislike products with strong fragrances, but this one has a pleasant, natural sweetness that I enjoy. I couldn't find any particular drawbacks. Overall, I'm satisfied, including with the price. - ki*********Combination SkinFeb 11, 2021
I bought this because of its great ingredients. However, the feel is a bit different from regular lip balms. It doesn't melt easily with body heat, unfortunately. It's quite firm. The formula doesn't melt with body heat. On the bright side, it leaves minimal residue, but on the downside, it's challenging to apply. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 5, 2021
When you first apply it, you might think 'What's this? Is it really absorbing?' But trust me on this one - apply it generously and frequently for just 3 days. You'll notice a significant reduction in dead skin cells. It goes on light and fresh, with a pleasant scent. There's absolutely no stickiness. I've been a lip balm addict all year round and have tried all the popular ones. After using this for about a week, my lips improved so much that I didn't need to apply it as often. While it didn't give me brand new lips, it did free me from the struggle of peeling skin and constant exfoliation. I plan to stock up on these during the next buy-one-get-one-free sale once I run out. (In the photo, I've consistently applied only this lip balm.) It seems you need to apply quite a lot initially to see results, so the quantity might not be as generous as you'd expect. While it's great for removing dead skin cells, it might not provide as much hydration as some might hope for. Apply generously and frequently all over your lips! - pa*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 18, 2021
I've finally used up a lip balm for the first time! (The photo shows the lip balm pushed all the way up.) I originally bought it at a pharmacy, but it seems the renewed version is a bit different? I'll base my review on the flat white balm I used. (I have extremely chapped lips with rough, flaking skin.) It applies smoothly. Right after application, it feels a bit slippery, but I liked how the moisturizing effect lasts quite long. Instead of sitting on top of the lips and feeling greasy, it absorbs nicely, leaving a pleasant hydrated feeling. It wasn't irritating either. I used it generously before bed and applied a thick layer on dry lips in the morning. I'm not sure if I missed something, but it was hard to find places selling it offline. Most importantly, I didn't see significant improvement in reducing dead skin cells. It only temporarily smoothed out the flakes, so when I applied lip products that tend to emphasize dry patches (like Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine), the flakes would immediately resurface. That was disappointing. The renewed version looks a bit stiff, so I'm hesitant about purchasing it. - dp*********Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 30, 2020
Given its price point, it's reassuring to use as it contains only good ingredients. The texture isn't like Vaseline that melts with body heat and applies thickly. It goes on thin and moisturizing, but might not be enough for winter use. It seems perfect to apply before other lip products. At full price, I'd probably just buy Vaseline Lip Therapy, but it seems they often have discounts or buy-one-get-one-free offers. The case doesn't close properly, which is annoying. Not sure if I just got a faulty one... While the packaging looks cheap, I'm satisfied with the quality ingredients. The sweet scent is also not my favorite. It smells like MAC lipstick. Rather than buying at full price, I'd probably just get Vaseline Lip Therapy. It seems they often have discounts or buy-one-get-one-free offers. Best to buy when it's on sale! - rh*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinDec 15, 2020
It seems like a decent lip balm to use when your lips get dry in winter. I really like the pleasant scent it has. It's hard to see the value for money with this product. As many people have mentioned, it's quite stiff, so it doesn't absorb well. Unfortunately, it's unlikely to have a significant effect. I'd recommend using a different lip balm instead! During promotional periods at Olive Young or LaLa Blah, they often sell this lip balm bundled with Topicrem hand cream at a discounted price! If you're interested in trying it, I highly recommend purchasing during these sales periods for the best deal. - ch*******Combination SkinRecommendedDec 12, 2020
The fragrance was really lovely, and it absorbs so smoothly! It's perfect for applying before bed! While the amount isn't necessarily small, it seems to run out faster than other stick lip balms... - jy*******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresNov 28, 2020
The scent is sweet but subtle, which puts me in a good mood. The slanted cut makes it easy to apply. Being colorless, it's great as a base before applying lipstick. At first, it's extremely stiff with no oily feel, so you have to go back and forth many times to apply it. After using it a few times, the stiffness does lessen, but it still requires multiple applications to work. For a lip balm, it's hard to tell if it's actually moisturizing or not. My lips are extremely dry, and this product doesn't even come close to helping. I'm only using it to address dryness before applying lipstick.
