This is the serum I've been using for 2 years! My parents bought it for me, and I've kept applying it. I've gone through about 5 bottles now. I love the scent, and as someone who really dislikes sticky products, I appreciate how it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. I recently ordered two more - one to use and one to keep in stock! As someone else mentioned, it's really difficult to use up the entire bottle. You have to squeeze with all your might to get the last bits out. Many people come looking for its whitening effects, but it's a product that requires long-term use to see results. I'd recommend it to those who are okay with gradual brightening, but not to those expecting quick results. I have dry skin, and if I apply this serum twice for absorption before using cushion foundation, it goes on incredibly smoothly. This is why I keep coming back to it. - pm****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedSep 20, 2021
My complexion has brightened a bit! It's more of a brightening effect than whitening. You know that fresh, clean look right after washing your face? It's like that, but it lasts longer. My blemishes seem to have faded slightly, though they haven't disappeared completely yet... haha. I've been using it for two weeks, so imagine the results after a month! I've also noticed an improvement in my skin texture! So, the main benefits I've experienced are improved skin texture, brightening, and slight fading of blemishes. Considering these effects, plus the reasonable price for the amount you get, and the great ingredients, it's definitely a winner! It's not particularly moisturizing or rich in texture. The Goodal serum had a richer feel... However, I've seen better results with this than the Goodal serum! The scent is a bit like wet wipes...? I expected a lemon scent since it's called 'Yellow Food' haha. But you get used to it as you use it. To help the ingredients absorb better, I apply this right after washing my face...! (I don't use an exfoliating toner). Since it's not a heavy formula, this method works well. - 10****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 27, 2021
It's not sticky at all. Although it's yellow, it seems to only contain niacinamide and not vitamin C, which might be why it lacks the typical stickiness and oily feel of vitamin serums. I really appreciate that. It seems to provide a light, refreshing hydration. While it may not offer deep, intense moisturization, it does seem to deliver the basic hydration you'd expect from typical serums. It appears to be non-irritating. It feels very gentle, almost like applying a hydrating aloe gel. I bought it during a sale, so it was incredibly affordable! Being able to use it generously without worrying about the cost is a big plus. I'm not expecting major brightening effects from skincare, but it's hard to tell if it's making a difference. That said, even when I've used expensive, high-concentration vitamin serums, I've seen improvements in skin texture but not significant brightening, so I'm not too concerned about it. Since I prioritize hydration, I don't use this alone. After applying this, I like to layer a bit of hyaluronic acid ampoule on top. I feel it helps to supplement any lacking moisture, so I use them together. - ch********Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedMar 7, 2021
It's hydrating without being oily... I usually have very oily skin that explodes with excess oil when I use products, but this one is just pure hydration. That's not to say it lacks moisturizing properties. It feels amazing when applied. It has just the right amount of hydration that those with oily skin would appreciate. Those with very dry skin might find it insufficient. I'd only recommend it for oily skin types! Also, when you stop using it, your skin goes back to its original state. It only seems to brighten the complexion while you're using it. Nothing special to add. I just apply it in a regular manner... - ah********Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedMay 24, 2020
I decided to buy this product after seeing reviews praising its quick absorption. The affordable price was also a factor. Hydration: As someone with dry skin, I usually avoid even the best skincare products if they feel even slightly rich. In the past, I disliked the feeling of moisturizer sitting on my skin so much that I'd skip it entirely. But this product absorbs so quickly! It provides a hydrating feel without any oiliness. Brightening effect: I've been using it since late February and I'm almost finished with the bottle. Being at home due to COVID-19 and using this brightening serum, I could really see my complexion becoming brighter. Of course, it wasn't solely due to this serum, but my skin tone went from shade 21 to about 20. I'm thrilled with even this one-shade improvement! While others might not have noticed the brightening effect, it worked wonders for me. It also provided great hydration! I wish the container had a pump dispenser instead of a dropper. With the dropper, it might be difficult to use up every last bit of the product. - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedFeb 14, 2020
Gentle on the skin! Unlike the slightly irritating toner, this product isn't harsh at all. It's a hydrating formula (quite fluid in consistency). The dropper bottle makes it convenient to use. I'm not sure if it really has any brightening effects. Because it's so fluid, it tends to run off the skin quite often. You can get it at a great price if you buy during promotional events. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 11, 2019
It absorbs quickly for such an affordable price, which means you can use it generously without worry. Despite having combination dehydrated skin, I find this too light. There's no hydration at all, and I can't see any brightening effects. It feels like I've barely applied anything, yet I'm going through the product quickly. It might work in summer, but I won't be repurchasing. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 31, 2019
It's affordable, comes in a generous size, and the packaging design is lovely! I was so impressed with the Green Food line that I bought the Yellow Food line as a set. Unfortunately, this line didn't live up to my expectations. While it didn't cause blemishes or any major issues, I probably won't repurchase it. The texture is far too sticky without providing any hydration. It feels unpleasant because it's tacky without making my skin feel moisturized. As for brightening effects, I've never really seen results from skincare products, so I didn't expect much, and true to form, there were no visible changes. The Green Food line is definitely superior! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 12, 2019
As someone with oily skin, I don't usually use serums, but I liked how gentle and refreshing this one was. It seemed to have a positive effect on hydration. The price is definitely a steal. The term 'gentle' could also mean that the effects are subtle. Additionally, apart from calamansi extract, the vitamin C ingredients mentioned by this brand seem to be present mostly as extracts, but likely in small amounts. So, it might be unrealistic to expect significant brightening results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJul 7, 2019
I bought this to add to my nighttime skincare routine, hoping it would help with some pesky dark spots and blemishes that were starting to appear. You know, I heard from a makeup artist that actresses apply whitening serums multiple times a day for that flawless complexion! I haven't been using it for long, but the price isn't too burdensome and the scent isn't off-putting. It's a bit disappointing that the bottle is small. Since it's not in a brown bottle, don't expect it to be a high-concentration vitamin C serum - I'm just applying it without too many expectations.
