Not only is this a review, but I also wanted to write a skin journal. In June last year, during a period when I was drinking a lot of alcohol and experiencing a lot of stress, I suddenly developed seborrheic dermatitis that covered my entire face from my forehead to my chin. Even though my skin was objectively quite good, I thought it would just go away on its own, so I just used my usual mild cleansing and washed my face with LG Prael. But aside from the poor skin condition, the pain was excruciating. It felt like my breath inside the mask was burning my skin, just like a burn. For about 2 weeks, I didn't go to the hospital and just did modeling packs, ice pack treatments, and used the same basic skincare products I normally use. Due to the stress and pain from my skin, I barely slept and felt like I was deteriorating. So I finally went to a dermatologist for the first time in my life, and it was truly the best decision I've ever made. They said the inflammation and allergic reaction started from a damaged skin barrier, and that I absolutely should not use steroids, so we started with antibiotics. They also told me to stop using all my existing skincare products except the moisturizer. They said not to exfoliate during cleansing and not to do any masks. They just told me to use a gentle cleansing foam and a moisturizer, and that's it. That's how I discovered the Zero-ite product that the clinic uses a lot, and I've used over 6 bottles of it now. Even without applying moisturizer after cleansing, there's absolutely no tightness, and as anyone who's tried it knows, there's really no irritation at all. But it's not a weak cleansing either. Due to the seborrheic dermatitis, I couldn't even wear sunscreen for about 2-3 months. On days when I had appointments, I would just lightly apply a BB cream from Sulwhasoo, and it would remove cleanly even without a first cleanse. I really hope anyone suffering from skin issues like I did tries this out. I feel like my original skin has returned to over 80% now. I still drink a lot, but I'm making an effort to manage my stress.
