The glass lid was probably inconvenient to open and close, which was disappointing. Also, the glass bottle can be risky to handle.

It's not just watery, but when you pat it on, your skin feels firm and supple. Although the glass bottle cap is a bit inconvenient, I've been using it in a foam dispenser, and it feels like it absorbs more thoroughly, like a lightweight serum. The application sensation is noticeable too. The scent, reminiscent of leaves or tea leaves, helps you relax. It seems like a functional toner focused on balancing the skin's pH. I really love it!

When the brand Tone28 first came out, I had some expectations, but in the end, it turned out to be just another ordinary toner.

Although it has a water-like consistency, the product has a slight weight to it and feels smooth on the skin.

On January 15-22, 2025, I used a new toner that I discovered while searching for a replacement for my previous toner. When using toners, there are many factors to consider, but the two main ones for me are:
'How quickly can it be absorbed?'

I believe these two aspects are what many male users focus on. I may not be as meticulous as some diligent female users, but if a toner can fulfill these two roles, I consider it to have a solid foundation.
After purchasing, I used the toner for a week, applying it both before bedtime and before going out. The instructions stated that it could be used 'right after cleansing' or 'like other toners', so I decided to try both.
When using it before bed after cleansing, I felt it spread easily and absorbed quickly, leaving a refreshing sensation. Personally, I prefer toners without strong colors or fragrances, and the subtle woody scent of this one appealed to me. The website describes it as a hibiscus fragrance, but as someone unfamiliar with that flower, I'd simply describe it as a fleeting scent reminiscent of a winter breeze blowing over a cypress bath.
The toner absorbed quickly and maintained its effects well until the next moisturizing step, so I consider it a success.

The toner helped the foundation apply smoothly without patchiness, and my brows stayed in place without smudging.

The foundation I used was the HERA BLACK CUSHION FOUNDATION 23N1, and the brow styler was the MAC crayon sourcils stud.

The toner had a non-viscous texture, which was nice as I, like many men, tend to be a bit heavy-handed. But the toner absorbed quickly - the photo shows how it looked just 3 seconds after application.

Compared to my previous toners:

1. Hada Labo Gokujyun
This was a popular recommendation. It had a slightly cloudy color and felt like a sprinter, quickly absorbing into the skin. Compared to Tone 28, Hada Labo seemed to penetrate more deeply, while Tone 28 provided a faster protective feel.

2. AHC HOMME 5-solution toner
This toner had good application and solid performance, but had a slightly mature scent that wasn't my personal preference. Tone 28, on the other hand, met my preference for a more subtle fragrance while still providing a reliable basic routine.

Beyond just performance, a third reason I chose Tone 28 was its clean, attractive bottle design.I understand that some may think men don't pay much attention to design, but for me, the packaging and branding of a product are important as they reflect the direction of the brand. 

The calming brown bottle of this toner appealed to me, and I think the design would make it a great gift as well. When I first opened it, the perforated section at the top reminded me of the boarding pass you show to the flight attendant when boarding a plane. I thought that was a nice touch in the design.

There's not much to complain about. The only slight inconvenience is the small opening, which means you have to shake it a few times to get enough product out.

It's gentle on the skin. This toner really stays true to its purpose. I love how it's mild while effectively removing dead skin cells and smoothing out the skin texture. The scent is barely noticeable, and I appreciate the stylish light-blocking bottle design.

It maintained a great oil and moisture balance. I liked that it wasn't too thick. There wasn't anything I disliked about it.

I could really feel the pH balance working. Even though I don't have sensitive skin, I was very satisfied with this product.
