The Saem's Saemmul Perfect Pore Powder is ideal for those wanting to cover pores and achieve a matte finish simultaneously. As someone with combination dehydrated skin and large pores in the T-zone that produce excess oil, powder is essential in my base makeup routine. I've tried various products, but few have been as satisfying for the price as this one. It's become a true holy grail item that I've repurchased 8 times on Coupang. The first advantage is its pore-covering ability. The difference before and after use is visibly noticeable, with pores in the T-zone significantly less apparent. It's particularly effective after applying a dewy cushion foundation, which can sometimes emphasize pores. This powder gives the skin a smoother appearance and a more refined texture. It's like applying a Photoshop filter, truly transforming the look of your skin. Secondly, the powder has a fine, silky texture. Unlike many affordable powders that can be coarse and prone to caking, this product has extremely fine, soft particles that adhere evenly to the skin without clumping. When applied with a powder brush, it sets the base makeup naturally without causing it to pill or look patchy. Thirdly, I appreciate its incredibly lightweight feel. It sets makeup without the heaviness or thickness typical of some powders, allowing for a thin, light application. Even when used all over the face, it doesn't feel burdensome and provides a semi-matte finish that's perfect for daily makeup. Fourth is its value for money. Despite its small size, it lasts surprisingly long. I use it all over my face and expected it to run out quickly, but the amount is quite generous for its price, making repurchasing stress-free. I consistently reorder it through Coupang's Rocket Delivery, and my base makeup doesn't feel complete without it. Lastly, I'm satisfied with its longevity. When I apply my makeup in the morning, it keeps oil at bay until the afternoon, and my makeup doesn't break down even without touch-ups. It particularly helps prevent oil from seeping through pores and causing makeup to separate, thus improving both the staying power and durability of my makeup look. However, this product does have some drawbacks. The main issue is dryness. While it effectively mattifies the skin, it can emphasize flakiness or cause cracking on dry skin or during times when your skin is more sensitive. It may cause the skin to look patchy or the base makeup to break down, especially in drier areas like the cheeks, chin, or around the mouth. Secondly, it has limitations in covering textured skin. While excellent for pore coverage, it may actually accentuate skin texture in areas with a lot of unevenness. It can make acne scars or active blemishes look more noticeable by creating a white cast, potentially making your makeup look less polished. It's more suitable for focusing on pores rather than overall texture. The third drawback is its portability. Although the product itself is small and light, the container design makes it difficult to dispense small amounts of powder, which can be problematic for quick touch-ups. You might end up with too much or too little product. Also, it doesn't come with a built-in puff, so you need to carry a separate brush or puff. Fourth is the color issue. While it's a translucent powder, it can leave a white cast, especially on medium to dark skin tones. This can be particularly noticeable in flash photography or under direct sunlight, where the face might appear noticeably paler than the rest of the body. Since the color can't be adjusted, those with darker skin tones should test it before committing to use. Lastly, it might be slightly disappointing for those sensitive to scents. While the product is nearly fragrance-free, it does have a slight powdery smell that isn't completely neutral. Those who are particularly sensitive to scents should keep this in mind. The Saem's Saemmul Perfect Pore Powder pairs excellently with dewy base products. When used over a hydrating cushion or liquid foundation, it maintains the glow while smoothing out pores, resulting in a much cleaner skin finish. Personally, I recommend applying it with a soft powder brush rather than an air puff for a thin, even application. Focusing on the T-zone and butterfly zone allows you to control oil while maintaining a natural glow in other areas. For those with dry skin, it's best used as a spot powder rather than all over the face. - xm********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsOct 1, 2024
I can't say there was anything particularly good about it, as it seemed to make my dead skin cells even more noticeable I tried The SAEM Saemmul Perfect Pore Powder, and honestly, there were a few disappointing aspects. First, its ability to control sebum was somewhat lacking, as oil quickly resurfaced after a short while. Also, when applied, it left my skin with such a matte finish that I sometimes felt a sense of dryness. There was also some excess powder that would fly around, which was especially inconvenient when it got on my clothes or hair during application. Additionally, its pore-covering ability fell short of my expectations, so I didn't get that perfect pore-concealing effect I was hoping for. - hy*******Normal SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedAug 2, 2023
It effectively controls oil and I loved that the puff is quite thick and soft. The powder particles are fine, spread well, and I appreciated that it doesn't dispense too much product at once. It's challenging to achieve a completely matte finish, and some natural glow of the skin remains. I didn't really notice any brightening effect on my complexion. - ab****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 30, 2021
It's great that you can use it on both hair and skin. It really controls oiliness well. The scent is refreshingly cool too. The biggest drawback, though unavoidable, seems to be that it makes your hair a bit stiff. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedDec 4, 2020
I bought this product because my T-zone tends to be oily, and I'm really satisfied with it. It's a fragrance-free white powder that I used as the final step in my base makeup routine after skincare. I love how it leaves my face feeling soft and matte. The best part is that I didn't experience any blemishes or adverse reactions on my skin. While it's understandable due to the nature of powder products, the puff that comes with it is a bit on the small side. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 26, 2020
I think I bought this at a discounted price of around 5,600 won in an offline store. I'm not sure if there are any other advantages besides the price. First off, I'm sensitive to scents, and this had an unpleasant smell, possibly mixed with the foundation odor.... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 1, 2020
It absorbs oil really well without being too matte, leaving a nice soft finish which I absolutely love. The scent is also great! Highly recommended for those with oily skin. I can't think of any downsides... There's nothing to complain about! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 21, 2020
It feels wonderfully fresh and dry as soon as you apply it. I recommend using a brush rather than your fingers for application. And if you dab a little on your forehead, say goodbye to that oily shine! The lid is difficult to close. It's thin and not very sturdy, which is concerning. Tap a bit onto the lid, pick it up with a brush, then sweep it across your face. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 25, 2020
It really locks in the oil! Personally, I found that Innisfree's No Sebum Powder tended to clump, but this one doesn't clump at all while effectively controlling oil. I've decided this is my go-to loose powder. It's also super handy when your bangs get oily. I was completely satisfied with everything! Even after using it for a long time, I couldn't really find any drawbacks. - tk*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 26, 2019
This product really helps control excess oil in my T-zone! While the effect doesn't last all day, I appreciate that it feels less heavy on my skin compared to other oil-control powders. The price is also quite reasonable. The downside is that I'm a bit disappointed with the ingredients. There are some less-than-ideal components in the formula, which is unfortunate. For best results, gently pat the product onto areas with excess oil.
