✅️ I was pleasantly surprised by this product. Despite being fragrance-free, I initially expected it might smell medicinal. However, it has no unpleasant scent - neither medicinal nor metallic - which I really appreciate. ✅️ The balm-like formula creates a protective barrier on the skin, feeling slightly thick upon application. While it doesn't absorb instantly, making it less ideal for rushed mornings, it's perfect as part of an evening skincare routine. ✅️ It contains panthensoside, which is beneficial for sensitive skin. This combines panthenol (strengthens skin barrier, soothes dry skin) with madecassoside (calms irritated skin, protects) and Centella Asiatica (known for its soothing properties). ✅️ The low pH, gentle formula is a winner. It's designed to maintain skin's oil-water balance even during seasonal changes, which I found really effective. ✅️ I'm impressed by its 9-free clean formula. It's free from animal-derived ingredients, mineral oils, polyacrylamide, imidazolidinyl urea, triethanolamine, synthetic dyes, fragrances, PEGs, and parabens. This makes for a gentler, more skin-friendly product. As mentioned earlier, the slow absorption rate is a drawback. I was drawn to this product because of its high panthenol content. It's an attractive option due to its high concentration of active ingredients relative to its price. I'm also pleased with its balanced moisturizing power, rich texture, and how well it absorbs! Since my skin is quite prone to reactions, I unfortunately developed small bumps after using this cream. This seems perfect for those with combination dehydrated skin. It doesn't feel greasy and helps combat deep dryness. There's no fragrance, which is nice. It's just a solid, reliable choice. Perhaps due to its gentleness, it doesn't cause any blemishes. I loved that it's neither too heavy nor too light. It's fantastic to apply in the morning before makeup - your foundation won't pill, and it creates a great base for your makeup to adhere to! It might be a bit dry for the dead of winter. It's probably best suited for spring to early summer, or fall. Since it may take a little while to absorb, I find it works perfectly if you apply this cream in the morning, dry your hair, and then do your makeup. Given how dependable it is, I'd definitely consider repurchasing if the price was more affordable. I've been consistently purchasing and using the Etude Soon Jung line along with their Cica Balm since it was introduced! As someone with super sensitive skin, I had many skin concerns, but my skin condition has improved compared to before. I hope they never discontinue this product! I absolutely highly recommend this! It's especially great to use during fall and winter. Of course, I personally use it all year round. When blemishes appear, applying this immediately helps calm them down quickly. This is my go-to repurchase for winter! It's perfect for combination dehydrated, sensitive skin. While it's quite thick and doesn't spread easily, it works wonders as a nighttime skincare treatment. I apply it generously before bed, and wake up to incredibly soft, smooth skin the next morning. The absorption isn't great. It feels like it sits on top of the skin. I absolutely adore this product! I've been using it consistently for about 5 years now. It's been the most 'soothing' for my super sensitive skin. For a while, I didn't use any toner, emulsion, or serum - just this product alone. It's been incredibly beneficial for my sensitive skin! For those with dry skin, it might feel a bit dehydrating. It absorbs well and applies smoothly without any pilling. The lightweight, non-greasy formula makes it comfortable to use without feeling heavy on the skin. For extremely dry skin, it lacked sufficient richness during the winter months.
